Andy has replaced fencing with trellis, removing a large tree root too - it looks fantastic - and he worked very quickly. He's great with garden work, and has imagination to help resolve problems around the house. We have also used Andy for painting and decoration, putting up blinds, and numerous 'odd jobs'. Highly recommended.

We had an old fence with rotting Arris rails and panels which needed completely replacing. We were very happy with the quote and agreed for Andy to undertake the work. The fence supplied is of good quality and it was erected very efficiently and tidily. The new fence looks great and has made a huge difference to the look (and security) of our garden. We we will certainly be using APS again for other jobs and would highly recommend them.

I've had Matt do quite a few jobs for me recently and I can honestly say his work is amazing. He really cares about how he's doing a job and I'm delighted with his quality of work. I don’t often write reviews but wanted to highlight the excellent work Matt carried out at my home in Hertfordshire. I needed assistance with decorative works to a bedroom and also some minor repairs to the bathroom. Matt was able to complete these to a high standard. There was a crack in my shower tray, I asked for a quote to get it replaced and they replied the same day and attended whenever was good for me. Stanley, who did the job itself, was really nice, got to work straight away, and managed to remove old tray, fit the new one all on the same day and cleaned after. Very pleased and definitely recommend. Used them again to make box to cover pipes for new boiler and some tiling/odd jobs around house and Artur was really good. Used them again to hang a heavy picture (15kg) as I wanted to make sure it would be safe and Michael arrived right on time and did it in 30mins and happy with it.

Oliver turned our old garage into a garden office space. The price was very good, he did an excellent job and it was really great working with him. He really cares about doing the work to the highest quality, and it really shows in the end result as you’ll see in the images below. He throws in extra things for free and is very generous with his time, so you always feel that he cares about the job. The site was very tidy at the end of the day and he was on schedule. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

Oliver and Chris turned up at 8.00 am on the dot every morning and worked through untill 5pm every day. They were considerate and happy to discuss any changes of the original plan. Oliver supplied invoices at every stage. I had the toilet and bathroom wall taken out and knocked into one to make it more accesibl for my elderly mother The bathroom was tiled and the sink moved.The new shower was then installed. Oliver even found a window fan to replace the old one so that I didn't need to have a new window. Finally a new radiator and electric and electric heater were installed to make sure mum would be cosy and warm when in the bathroom. The old door to the toilet was removed and a new wall put in its place. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Oliver building services and he will be my 'go to' builder for work in the future. Saj was brilliant. I contacted him very last minute to help us get our sofa through a doorway that was too small. He got the job done and was really friendly! Saj recently designed a wardrobe for my daughter’s room which was tricky due to the curved ceiling, existing pipework that serviced our bathroom as well as a chimney breast. Notwithstanding these difficulties, Saj came up with a design which met all our requirements and once ordered was able to fit quite speedily. I picked Saj above more well known bedroom fitters because he was able to cut the materials to size and provide exactly what we wanted as opposed to only being able to use set lengths. Saj was easy to contact, kept me abreast of any issues and his workmanship was superb. We are all very happy with the end product.

Ginge has been a godsend to us since we moved into our new home in Letchworth. We had a tight timescale to renovate our house and he went out of his way to make it possible for us. Since then he has been our go-to for any jobs we need doing. He has given us great advice and is always honest about what he can't do - the great thing is when he can't do it he knows someone competent who can. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I have just had my kitchen refreshed by having new doors and some end panels fitted onto my existing kitchen units. The whole effect is of a completely new kitchen at the fraction of the cost of a new kitchen with much less disturbance. The work carried out by Roy and Colin is of a very high standard and the attention to detail gives a really good finish. I found working with Holmwood Construction a very agreeable experience and I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again.

A small job but a good job. Ours was a very small job by Roy's standards (fitting some additional kitchen units). Regardless Roy was very professional, reliable and personable. He clearly takes pride in his workmanship. We would highly recommend this company. Holmwood installed extra units to our existing utility room and painted three rooms. Royston and his team are friendly, very tidy and highly experienced tradesman who really cared about what we wanted and did their utmost to deliver an excellent quality of workmanship. Royston always has solutions - not problems - which makes it a lovely stress free process, continually surprising us by going above and beyond what we expected of him. The end result is perfect and we have already booked them for further work in the New Year.

We recently engaged Holmwood Construction Ltd for the full internal renovation work of our 4 bedrooms house; the result was exceptionally satisfactory. Although Roy’s quotation was not the lowest amount the 3 bidders, his proactiveness and truthfulness gave me confidence to offer him the job. The renovation commenced in end Jan 2025 and was completed 2 months ago, we had then moved in for 1.5 months, everything is working in good order. The renovation work includes complete replacement of the kitchen and three bathrooms, extended the floor area of the master bedroom, relocated the hot water cylinder from the airing cupboard to the loft and converted the airing cupboard to a shower cubicle, replacement of water boiler and all lighting in the house as well as redecorated the full house internally. Roy and his team demonstrated high professionalism in their workmanship and control the cost & schedule well within the agreed budget & time. In additional to that Roy and his team also provide professional recommendations, views and opinions in areas what they considered to be the best for the house to our consideration, for example at first we selected a 30W water boiler for our house, but after review they recommended a 24W boiler which it proved to be working good in the past 1.5 months since we moved in, as well as reducing our initial cost. Roy is a man who keep his word and would never promise you anything that cannot be done or he is not capable to do.
