We had Nick build fitted wardrobes with sliding doors. He’s was extremely helpful with identifying a supplier for the doors, we chose IKEA internals which he assembled into the space we had giving us wall to wall wardrobes. He also installed the sliding doors which gave a great finish to the whole project.
He also fitted some made to measure shelving in a relatively small gap which gave some additional storage.
He was also very helpful getting the paint to match the IKEA colour.

A separate project we intended to do ourselves but Nick correctly convinced us he would do it better, he built panelling along one wall of the bedroom which looks great.

Always communicated what he was doing and very flexible if we couldn’t be in the house.

After five years of having Nick as our carpenter it has suddenly dawned on me we have never left a review!! What a terrible oversight. Nick is amazing. No job too big or too small and each undertaken with meticulous care and attention to detail.
Nick has moved and refitted doors, built a wardrobe, redesigned a fitted wardrobe, rebuilt stairs and repaired several external wet rot damaged window ledges. We have been more than happy with all the work Nick has undertaken.

Living in an old house, having moved from a modern vicarage, there are always maintenance carpentry jobs that need doing to keep the house in good repair and no walls are straight making many jobs challenging.

But Nick undertakes them all with careful consideration, patience and expertise. He is honest and trustworthy and we are thrilled to have found Nick and wouldn’t have any other carpenter. We would recommend Woods Contemporary Carpentry unreservedly.

Nick did a very good job replacing 3 doors which was a far from an easy job the frames being out of line. He also modified some new cupboards and fitted them on the wall. Super job, nice obliging chap very helpful recommended.

Nick did an amazing job fitting 2 doors last year (pic1), so we had him back to fit 5 second floor doors. He overcame plenty of issues with the door frames and door handles but with perseverance he did a fantastic job. He’s very particular which is really good and does not do shabby work, he’s booked in for another job which I wouldn’t have anyone else to do. Definitely recommend 100%.

We had some bespoke work done for understairs storage at home before Christmas. Work was of very high standard with good attention to detail. Nick is professional and friendly, works unobtrusively and always cleaned up at the end of the day.
