Excellent service and reasonably priced. Will came to my rescue and put up x2 curtains poles for me as I had difficulty with the brick/concrete walls and I was too scared to drill through them, It may seem like a minor job but it’s made all the difference to my house feeling like a home. Overall he’s just a lovely guy and I’ll definitely have his service again may I need it! Thanks Will.

Will arrived bang on time, and fixed several repairs. a lovely job on repairing/rehanging our wooden gate so that it opens properly, reglazing a shed window where the frame was rotten, and started work on repairing parts of our decking. All this and dismantling a pergola in 3 hours! Will is polite, timely and a worker of "old-school" sustainable values. We are already looking for the next batch of work for him! I thoroughly recommend Winchester Builders. The work they have done has been completed beautifully and the finish is high end excellent. The guys are pleasant and trustworthy - a joy to have around, give great advice and always leave the house tidy before they leave. The tradespeople they collaborate with have also all been excellent. We chose Gordon after watching him and his team add an upper floor to our daughter's bungalow. We were impressed by their approach to the job and by the end result. We had an extension built and numerous renovations around the house undertaken. Gordon followed the architect's plans carefully, but made suggestions along the way when the building work uncovered things (such as a pre-existing pillar) which made an alternative approach sensible. Each time he clearly described the pros and cons of the options and allowed us to decide. It was clear that we could trust Gordon. Moreover, as Gordon works on a time and materials basis (rather than fixed price) we already knew that he would not be tempted to use short cuts or to hide mistakes. Gordon's estimate for our job compared favourably with the fixed price quote we had received. We did spend more than his original estimate, but that was because we added items along the way as they occurred to us. However, the total cost of the project including the extra items was still slightly less than the original fixed price quote. Gordon maintained a high standard of personal workmanship, and the other members of his team (carpenter, plumber, electrician and plasterer) followed his example. Their work still draws compliments from people who walk pass the house - five months after completion. We had a warm friendly relationship with all members of the team during what could have been a highly stressful time. It helped that Gordon managed the project throughout in his calm reassuring manner. He managed not just his own team but also suppliers and building control. We were very happy with the end result, and like others before us we would wholeheartedly recommend Winchester Builders.

Gordon and his team were asked to knock through a dining room wall to make a kitchen/diner as well as extend the downstairs toilet and fit a new kitchen and utility room. Gordon and his team came out to see us three times to ensure we were happy with the final plans. Gordon is able to look at plans and proposals with a creative approach and with a view to saving money and making improvements. The team worked efficiently, they were punctual, tidy and clean and were polite and friendly. They have a can-do attitude and nothing is too much trouble. Above all, the work they carried out was to a really good standard and we are delighted with the final product. I would use Winchester Builders again for any work and can recommend them without hesitation.

He arrived early and punctually each day and project managed the other contractors brilliantly ( Plasterer, plumber, electrician) When problems arose, as they inevitably do, Gordon was always thinking of, and discussing, the resolution options. The project completed to time, to budget, and with remarkably few stressful moments. I'd highly recommend.

Phoned Ed to fix a TV bracket on to a wall and mount the TV. He came within 2 hrs of the call. I made a mess trying to do this myself. He was punctual, very tidy and professional. He went the extra mile to fill the extra holes I made trying to do it myself with the Filler and fixed the nails to hang other two items. He quoted a reasonable price as well. Thank you!

Was very pleased with the work undertaken, which was assembling 4 IKEA bedside cabinets and one chest of drawers, and also hanging a mirror on the wall. Very nice guy and would recommend and will use again if I need anything done.
