Today was my first time using The Hair Lounge Salon, but it won't be my last. Christina cut and styled my hair so beautifully. From the phone call booking my appointment to leaving the salon, the staff were so friendly and lovely. Fully recommend everyone to use this great salon. Thank you once again Christina . A few days before my appointment I went into the salon to discuss what I required. I  said that I wanted a dry cut & a navy blue colour. They did the skin test, & I asked how much it would cost. The owner said £60 & wrote it down on one of their cards. I thought that was expensive. Previously  I had never been charged more than £40 for the same treatments,  at any salon. I returned 2 days later, to a warm welcome. Before starting I was asked what I usually have done. I said that I don't have hairspray or the hairdryer. I was told that you need the 'works' as part of the feel-good experience. Andrea cut & coloured my hair beautifully & I was more than happy, with the results. I was asked if I wanted to pay by card or by bank transfer. I chose card, Andrea entered the details & I was quite shocked to be charged £76. Later, I sent Andrea a text asking her if she could explain the pricing, she replied that it was £38 for the colour & £38 for the cut & blow dry. I really like the cut & the colour, and I shall go back again. Next time, I will make sure that they understand exactly what I want, as I obviously didn't make it clear enough. I was disappointed that they didn't have a displaid price list & that they don't offer senior discount, any day, which I think is expected in this financial climate. £76 is a lot of money when you are over pension age. The ladies who work there are great and very friendly, they make very nice complimentary coffee, the salon is immaculately clean, there is parking outside. Apart from pricing, they were fantastic in every other way. I shall definitely be going back again.
