Stumbled across here by chance and so glad we did, a warm welcome and a warm restaurant on a chilly day. Staff were attentive and genuinely friendly and the food was wonderful. Definitely will return the next time we venture to Alton.

Stopped for lunch after a walk. Great food, especially the dhaal and ham hock. Loved the Ten Tun Tap house beer from over the road. Will come back soon to try the burgers!

I stopped at dill on a Saturday afternoon with some friends for lunch and a catch up. It’s in a great position in central Alton and is in a beautiful old character building. It was bright, modern and clean inside, and there were plenty of tables - which is good as it’s a popular place. The menu has plenty of options and it was difficult to choose what I fancied as it all sounded so good! I settled on their chicken burger which came with fries and coleslaw. It was absolutely delicious, and the portion was very generous too. The service was friendly and efficient, and overall we had a fantastic lunch. I will definitely return again when visiting Alton, and I would highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere nice for breakfast or lunch.

What a little gem in Alton! We had a fantastic time visiting dill. We were very late to our reservation due to traffic and the staff were very understanding, which we appreciated. The atmosphere was very relaxing. We had the tomato and mozzarella sourdough special, the hog father (pork belly burger) special and the sweet corn fritters. We very much enjoyed everything!

SAES did a cracking job on our commercial premises modifying and installing 20 x LED tubes into old fluorescent battens. Also added extra sockets to the office to cope with our winter heating and also extended a water heater socket to a new location. Would recommend anytime.

An excellent team. I had a difficult problem of feeding off a Garage power cable from my mains board, and the two man team ,not only sorted it on time, (on the hottest day of the century) but also provided a new electrical system in my garage, with plug connections, lights and power protection systems, - including setting up in a garage, full of tools, toys, cardboard boxes, books, bikes, and musical instruments. Thoroughly recommend for all electrical work necessary.

I have had the most excellent care at Shine Dental in my bridge fitting , Alex has taken a lot of trouble to ensure all aspects are just right , even the visual characteristics of colour and the natural shape of my other teeth have been perfectly matched within a pain free service , thank you so much Alex !!

Had a tooth problem when abroad and contacted Shine to fix on my return. Appointments were prioritised for me and a provisional extraction appointment made - which was subsequently needed. BJ completed the extraction explaining everything and I could not believe how quick and efficiently it all went. I don’t even need pain relief 24hrs later fabulous service.

Best roast! I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Yew Tree in Aylesford, near Hampshire, and I must say, it was one of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had. The variety of meats on offer—chicken, lamb, and beef—ensures there’s something for everyone. I chose the lamb, which was tender, perfectly cooked, and served in a generous portion, far exceeding my expectations. My partner and I were staying nearby and had dinner her one evening. We were blown away. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was wonderful and the pub was quaint and pretty. We are so glad to have visited and will be back next time we are in the area.

Fantastic food, we were really impressed. It was so delicious, I had the beef blade and the jus in particular was incredible. Staff were so helpful and thoughtful catering for my allergies. Nice wee pub with good beer on tap and great friendly service. We are definitely going back.

I must say this pub is well out of the way but worth finding! The Sunday roast beef was the best Sunday lunch I think I’ve ever had in a pub… the staff were excellent and so were the real ales. I’ll be back 100%. If you try it your love it.

I've been with Alton Dental for 6 years now, and they are by far the best dental practice I've attended. Dr Nik, Bethan and the receptionist team (Dhev and Grace) always greet you with a friendly, welcoming smile. You are never made to feel rushed, and Nik is always willing to explain/answer any questions. I've had all my old fillings restored over the past few years, and finished off with Invisalign; best decision ever! My teeth are in the best condition they've ever been in! I no longer feel nervous before a visit to the dentist as I know I'll have the best treatment. Thoroughly recommended! Thank you!

Who likes going to the dentist ?.. no one right ?..Well actually, I don’t mind it at all anymore. Since joining Alton Dental I no longer dread dental appointments. Thanks to my amazing dentist Sukh & the fabulous Natasha, having treatment is now a genuinely happy experience. Professional and thorough treatment received during my recent hygienist appointment. Grateful to receive advice regarding improving and maintaining dental health. Only negative comment would be that I noticed the hygienist assistant didn’t wash her hands before putting gloves on but hopefully this was a ‘one off’ occurrence.
