This practice came highly recommended by a friend. Got an appointment very quick on the same day and spoke with a lovely lady called (Stacey) on reception. Attended the appointment and was seen by the vet (Lucy). She was absolutely lovely, friendly and caring. In fact everyone in the practice looked happy to be at work! Would definitely recommend. When our trusted vet of many years sadly retired, I performed extensive research and chose to register my dog with Highfields. I didn't expect to be making an appointment so soon after, but accidents happen! I have been highly satisfied with my dog's first treatment. He wore a happy doggy smile while waiting to be examined, the examination was conducted at his level on the floor, and the consultation was thorough and reasonably priced. The sedated procedure he required was well explained and performed quickly. There was a follow up check call the following day and a physical check up appointment after 5 days. I felt confident in the veterinary practice staff and the service. Overall very pleased and would recommend.

I highly recommend this vets. Visited for the 1st time today as my adult cat had an issue with his eye. They were so welcoming and had such great customer service. They managed to operate on him today and the stitches are so neat. 100% moving to this vets! Price was amazing considering what i had been quoted at my usual vets. I cannot praise Highfields Vets enough. Our cats have been in for everything for annual jabs, to blood tests, to exploratory surgery, and unfortunately, in one case, through to end of life support and care. The care, kindness and attention to detail, along with easy booking methods and urgency escalation when required, have been superb. I will always be grateful knowing they are there when we need them.

The service we got from Pets at Rest was exceptional. Rob was so friendly and nice. He was truly sympathetic and treated Bonnie and our family with care and compassion. He explained everything clearly and did not rush us to say our goodbyes. He was kind and gentle when handling Bonnie. Very professional but comforting service provided. Thank you Pets at Rest.

If you're reading this then the chances are you're considering making that heart breaking decision that all we need help and guidance with. Let me assure you, you're in safe hands with Rob. I thought I'd add to the wonderful reviews as i found them so re-assuring when making that decision for myself. I contacted Rob by e-mail initially when trying to figure out what the procedure would be and to prepare myself mentally. As soon as Rob replied i knew he was a gentle soul, and he took time and effort with his replies. I felt more comforted by Rob's presence than my own vet. My Border Terrier, Poppy, aged 15, was declining and my vet told me it was a matter of weeks. As she was struggling with her breathing i made the decision for Rob to visit us at home. Poppy and I spent our last days and nights cuddled up in bed together and i had chance to say my final goodbyes. Rob turned up on time, and guided us calmly through the whole procedure, always giving us as much time as we needed. Poppy passed away peacefully in the comfort of our own home. I was kept in the loop about when i could expect to receive her ashes back, and she was duly brought home again from Old Flatts Farm 3 days later by Dan. Rob was calm, compassionate, patient and understanding, and made the whole difficult experience as human as it could be. Thank you to Rob & Dan, it was very much appreciated how you handled everything.

Last week, we realised the time had come and we had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to Bruce, our beloved Chocolate Lab of almost 12 & a half years. He was a gentle giant, who brought our young family so much joy. He was loving and loyal until the very end. Rob and Pets At Rest were recommended to us by a friend. Rob is incredibly considerate, professional and accommodating. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone else who has to make the same difficult decision that we did. We take so much comfort in knowing that Bruce's final moments were spent peacefully at home, being stroked and cuddled off to sleep by his loving family.

Superb service, would recommend to anyone having to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to their beloved pet. My beautiful Sasha passed peacefully at home on the 20/03/2025 at a grand age of 13. Never felt rushed in the process, and our girls ashes were delivered promptly after with a handwritten card which was a really nice touch. I’ve always felt very comfortable using these vets as it’s obvious they truly care about my dogs. Amazing care and compassion provided by Anne and the team. Our beloved Peggy was very poorly and Anne not only did the best for Peggy, but ensured we were ok. Great empathy and sympathy throughout. The handwritten personalised sympathy card was a wonderful touching surprise, thankyou.

By far the best Vets we have ever dealt with. All the staff we have met have been super professional and super friendly. Our rather nervous rescue dog has been looked after amazingly during our social visits and received her booster without a flinch. Cannot fault this Vets practice and highly recommend them!

Vets4Pets Heanor is a modern bright practice staffed by professional welcoming team. I have been taking my dog Chester here for 4 years and always felt his best needs are met.

We've always had brilliant care for our dogs here. Very pragmatic and professional.

Alan has cared for my nearly 9 year old chocolate lab scoobs for a few years now after a recommendation from a friend. I took him every month or so to have his anal glands expressed as he had an issue with them. Around a year ago on a routine appointment for this issue Alan noticed a lump in his anal gland and must have known that it was serious from his experience. He acted really quickly and removed the whole gland immediately and after testing it was discovered it was in fact a really aggressive form of cancer but because he caught it quickly and removed the whole gland it hadn’t spread. A year later and my scoobs has check ups every few weeks and he’s been fine but I don’t doubt that had Alan not acted so quickly and known that the lump was something serious and had it removed straight away rather than just testing it first then my scoobs probably wouldn’t be here today. Thanks so much for your quick reaction and your continued care that keeps my beloved boy healthy with the regular check ups you do. I wouldn’t trust the care of him with anyone else! Can’t recommend Alan enough x

Took our dog to the PDSA to be examined only to be told that he should put to sleep after a minimal effort so took him here for a second opinion and Alan said that he can operate and that he has at least 2 more years left in him. I would recommend Beech House Veterinary to anyone.

I can't praise Croft Vets highly enough. They were brilliant with our anxious collie during his tooth extraction and injections. So glad I went to them.

We brought our high energy dog to Croft vets for a laparoscopic spay as our regular vets don’t offer them. I can’t say enough good things about our experience here, we had lots of information for each step, the follow ups and check ins were great, the whole process was super efficient. All the staff were absolutely lovely, especially with our massive scaredy cat Labrador! It’s been just 3 days since the spay and we’ve been given the all clear to go on walks and more or less return to normality (with a couple of things to still be cautious of). We are happy with our current vet but I am contemplating moving to Croft completely as this whole experience has been so good. Thoroughly recommend!

Thank goodness for Ellie! It’s amazing to have a vet who knows and loves guinea pigs so much. Coco has only just started her treatment but I’m feeling really at ease knowing she’s under Ellie’s care and expertise. The option of her video appointments for advice is also very helpful and reasonably priced.

So unbelievably grateful for both Ellie and the rest of the team at Derwent Valley Vets! They have been incredible in treating one of our guinea's who sadly had to have his eye removed after our previous vets showed little interest in adapting his care or changing his antibiotics despite little improvement in a month. When we came to Ellie, we were scared we were going to lose him; we knew we were close to the point of no return. Ellie and the team have absolutely given our boy his life back; even with one eye he is much more himself than we have seen him be in the last 2 months and we're so thankful. Even now, 2 weeks post surgery, we are in constant communication with the team, sending regular updates and receiving brilliant advice. I cannot praise this team enough! We travel 3 hours to see them, and will gladly do so for anything so important again because the standard of care is unbeatable. Oh, and they provided double the amount of treatment for half the price we were quoted elsewhere, so pricing is absolutely incredible value for the skills these guys have. Ellie is amazing and very knowledgeable. We travelled 1.5 hours to see Ellie and it was worth it. I've never seen any other vet health check my guineapig like she did, and making sure my piggy has the correct pain relief after her eye removal. Nice to talk to a vet who knows what's she talking about with piggies

Very kind and knowledgeable, did her best for my little piggy, but unfortunately, there was nothing more that could be done. Basically the only person in the UK who I'd trust to do conscious dental surgery on guinea pigs.

The vets, nurses and staff are all fabulous- all of them show genuine care and I cannot recommend Peak Vets enough. I feel my cat is in extremely safe hands there.

We’ve been at this vets for around 5 years, have moved out of Sheffield and still come back to use the vets. I’ve experienced a few vets and this is the best one I’ve been to with my pets. The staff are so attentive and friendly and welcoming to all pets, we recently had to put our dog to sleep and they were so lovely and non pressuring regarding payments of services etc, I want to thank all of the staff your all amazing, carry on doing what you do and don’t look anywhere else if your in need of a vets.

Everyone was fantastic. I had to take my cat as she was suffering due to old age. They were so kind and caring to her and to me. They understood how difficult it was and gave us time. I cannot recommend them enough-they truly are wonderful.

Unfortunately we've been here a lot with our 2 cats so seen various vets and nurses. Everyone has been really friendly, knowledgeable and patient (with us and the cats!). For one of our cats with a chronic issue we even got free advice over email rather than stress him out bringing him for an appointment. It's great that they are open later and often have emergency on the day appointments too so it's quite easy to get an appointment that works around life. Reception can get really busy and there can be a wait to be seen at reception or phone call answered at busy times but that's to be expected.

I decided to bring my dog to this vet practice after all the amazing reviews. The vet was absolutely wonderful with my dog and I have no complaints about her. However the receptionist was unkind and unfriendly to us. I have a big dog - almost 100 lbs and my husband couldn't join us to the appointment. She asked me to weigh my dog alone - no one came to help me or asked if I needed any help. When the reception was busy and full of cats I have asked if I could wait in a quiet room as my dog could get agitated in a new environment. She have told me to wait outside even though it was a cold rainy day. During the entire time I had no assistance, no friendly manners and I didn't feel welcomed to the practice. I have joined their plan per suggestion of the vet and again the receptionist was quite reluctant to enrol my dog, saying first she will send the information via email. I have never received any emails from the practice including my invoices which makes me think if her cold manners to me it's regarding the fact that I am an immigrant and not a local resident. Which is a shame as their practice seems lovely and the vet is really good. After my first review they changed completely with me and my dog. I can't praise them enough about taking care of my Skyla.

I honestly cannot recommend Paw Prints Vets enough—they've been absolutely incredible looking after my cat, Penny. From the very first appointment, everything was handled swiftly and professionally. They carried out all necessary tests promptly, including blood tests, a steroid injection, and an anti-emetic treatment to ease Penny's discomfort. Dr Lisa Sessions went above and beyond by calling me personally at 8 pm the very same day with Penny's blood test results, showing just how dedicated they are to providing exceptional care. Unfortunately, Penny's condition deteriorated overnight, but the wonderful receptionist Wendy was incredibly understanding and managed to squeeze us in for an emergency appointment despite a busy schedule. Penny received another round of treatments immediately, and they promptly arranged an emergency ultrasound for Monday to further investigate her condition. The entire team at Paw Prints has shown genuine compassion and care every step of the way. It's so reassuring to know that Penny is in such dedicated, capable hands. Thank you so much to everyone at Paw Prints Vets for your kindness, efficiency, and genuine love for animals.

Having 2 senior pets means a vet practice with a lot of care is so important. Gemma, Lisa and the entire team are so caring. Receptionists are so helpful and have sorted Insurance claims every 3-4 months and prescription scripts. Recently needed a dog’s Physiotherapy referral and Sarah sorted that over to Dr Lisa the same day. They are aware the cost of everything, not just pet care, has gone up and are communicative and happy to work with you to suit your pets and budget. My pets have a team of superstars behind them ⭐️

I was recommended this vets by a friend as I wasn't happy with my old vets. The vets we've seen have been so lovely. My dog had all his teeth out and it was such a smooth process and he recovered quickly. I'm so happy with this vets, I'm even happy to drive from where I live in Oakwood!

I was on holiday when I needed to see a Vet for my dog. I found the contact details in the information pack for the cottage I was renting. The receptionist was so helpful, especially when I couldn't find the location despite using my satnav. The Vet gave Theo a thorough examination and prescribed a medicine. It enabled us to enjoy the remainder of our holiday. 5* service, and very happy to recommend.

The best vets I have ever used. So helpful and considerate. I took my Border Terrier to have his ear checked and was pleased with outcome. Also the young lady on reception kindly made me a coffee while I waited for my lift. Excellent service, would recommend.

A very good place for care and a comprehensive assessment of the health status of any animal. I was here for the first time with our friend, she has been serving her cats here for more than 5 years. A COZY place, if you come with children, there is a place to play with construction sets.

I have a very nervous dog and when she goes to the vets they arrange times when it's quiet so she can be relaxed and happy. She is an old dog now and the vets are very gentle with her. I can't praise them enough. Which is why I've been using them for over 20 years for all of my animals
