My dog Bobby a Patterdale terrier was in very sad state when he arrived at the Orthopedic Vets with a broken leg. I was extremely worried what may happen to him. I had been warned that a broken leg on a terrier wasn't easy to fix. Karl explained to my husband & I about the break & what would happen which made us feel at ease. Bobby loved him. I found both vets Karl & Bart excellent at their profession as Orthopaedic Vets & I knew Bobby was in good hands. All the staff were really friendly & helped as much as they could to make us feel better. I would have no hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone who had the misfortune of their dog having broken bones to get then fixed. Thanks Karl, Bart & All Staff

We travelled some distance but it was worth it. Bart clearly explained the procedure, (TPLO hind leg) and everything went to plan. Gave us clear instructions when we collected him and went through recovery timetable. 8 weeks post op, Paddy was examined by Karl and deemed to have made a good recovery. Some time to go yet, but Paddy is doing well. The hospital is excellent. Brand new and easy to find just outside town centre. Loads of parking. Reception staff very kind and polite.

All the staff at the practice were brilliant. Karl especially. He explained the procedure, the risks and looked after my fur baby to great standards. A bonus that she has now recovered and back to her joyful, crazy self! Thankyou all! 1000% recommend 🩷

From the very 1st phone call following our dog's referral to Orthopaedic Vets, to discharge following his post-op x-ray, we were very impressed. The receptionist was lovely and friendly, Karl instantly put my mind at ease, going through the TPLO surgery, recovery time and post op exercise recommendations. He was only an email away for post-surgery support. The doggy bag was a welcome treat for Rudy, too 🐾 I would happily recommend this practice. Thank you x

We were referred to Orthopaedic Vets because my pomaranian could not walk due to luxating patella’s on both hind legs, he was that bad he couldn’t even stand up. An appointment was made within a couple of days. This is where we met Karl Underhill, he examined Teddy’s legs and was confident he could operate and improve Teddys condition. Within the week Teddy was operated on. I can’t believe how well Teddy has improved. Weekly progress reports and short videos were sent to Karl by me via email and advice returned. We’ve just had out 6 week check up and Karl is over the moon with Teddys progress, I still have to work on building Teddys muscles back up but Teddy can now stand, walk, he even breaks out into a little run occasionally, and is even cocking his leg now, it’s unbelievable the difference in such a short period of time. I can’t thank Karl and his team enough, Teddy has been unfortunate with several health conditions but now he can walk again, he can start to live his best life. If you read this Karl, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, you’ve given Teddy the quality of life he deserves, you and your staff are truly amazing. Thank you.
