Stayed a week in the Cygnet Lodge over new year. Never been before but will definitely be returning. Beautiful clean lodges that were warm and cosy and had everything needed. Hot tub was amazing! On site restaurant was great serving delicious food. All staff we came across were SO nice. First lodge we stayed in with no dishwasher so missed that but we managed washing up so it was fine. Top marks for everything and everyone from us!

Lovely little caravan site, so quiet and relaxing. Beautiful food, really friendly staff and the facilities are great. Underfloor heated shower block is beyond cosy! We've been twice now, going to book two times again next year. Dog friendly site and restaurant, open all year round!!

Beautiful lodges in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Everything here was perfect for a truly relaxing holiday. Lodges were clean, warm and well equipped. Restaurant was lovely. Very nice menu and decent prices. Depending on what you want from a holiday I would say the location wasn't brilliant for sight seeing. You had to travel a long way to get to any attractions and the coast was an hours drive away. Other than that, it really is a beautiful site. One of the cleanest and tidiest I've visited. Would love to return as its just so peaceful.

We were greeted by a friendly receptionist who explained everything clearly. We had booked a caravan pitch on the lakeside. The site is very well cared for and the showers/toilets are spotless. We also used the restaurant. The staff there are amazing. The Sunday dinner was the best I've ever eaten. Delicious! The pitches themselves are small and tightly packed in, which isn't the best, but overall a lovely stay . Adult only is a big bonus .

We have changed our chippy to here because it's never dripping in grease, and the portions are bigger. It would be nice to see vegetarian options though....pies/pasties/sausages πŸ˜‰

Not over priced at all. There is another chippy in the same village this one is far better on price and quality of food.

I never write a review this quickly. In fact we are still at the table after our plates have been cleared. Incredible food. Truly home cooked. We had burgers and the chicken burger was massive. My partner and I are big eaters and we are fit to bursting! We have cakes to take away!! Beautiful food. Everything fresh, Everything delicious and the service impeccable. Anne was the most attentive host but all the servers were lovely. It's a credit to the area and so nice to have a good place to come to. You won't be disappointed. Faultless. Incredible value for money and highly recommended *****

This is my first visit to the restaurant, I visited here with my friend, I took her for afternoon tea for her birthday. We also took her little one with us. Afternoon tea was booked and paid in advance, As this s the requirement for afternoon tea. The staff where welcoming upon arrival, and extremely polite, the restaurant was warm cosy and clean, you could also smell the food cooking. We were seated to our reserved table, the waiter came to our table and gave us menus, so we could select drinks. My friend ordered a latte, I just had tea. The waiter took our menus away, the lady in the restaurant fetched another menu, to order little ones food from. She had chicken nuggets and potato tots, when her food came out I was shocked by the quality, freshly made food, not processed like you get elsewhere. Our afternoon tea was big, I was super happy that there was more savory available on it, so many places do too much sweet. The afternoon tea consisted of sandwiches, tuna cucumber, tuna mayo, chicken with mayo. Vegetable quiche, mini pasty, Yummy soup. Also a little pot of gherkins and cheese so much better than the mundane side salad. On the next tier where cakes, that consisted of brownie, Victoria sponge, I think trifle although taste was a mix of trifle and eton mess. Top tier had scones , 1 plain 1 fruit, jam, and cream for each one. The food was tasty and very filling, the brownie was lush and tasted like chocolate ganache. The scone was quite savory and you could taste the salt in it, I only add a little cream, and not jam as I don't like it on scones really, but that's just a preference. I liked everything I ate apart from the quiche, again that's just preference my friend enjoyed here's too. All together the cost was about Β£41.00. The afternoon teas are, Β£14.95 each. I would definitely visit again in the future. The staff are lovely and the food is quality. This restaurant is worth a visit.

The Side by Side Caistor

9 South St, Caistor, Market Rasen LN7 6UB, UK | Bar
P: 01472 859935

Rating: 4.4 (31) Price Level:

Cosy little wine bar in Caistor, which provides cocktails, beers, sports and wine alongside food. With a range of seating options, there is space for small and larger groups to meet. The pizzas are top-notch - crispy and fully loaded. Fries were loaded with loveliness and all came reasonably quickly. The atmosphere was pleasant and sometimes there is live music. Great little place to drop in to at any time.

We went as a group of 7. It wasn't particularly busy, but our pizzas took a long time to come. We had a lovely time though and the atmosphere was very chilled.

First time eating here, food and service was great. It's a bit small which was fine but the local drunk seemed to be in there the same time as us, wasn't eating literally just stood around talking and was very loud all the way through our meal, surprised nobody said anything in such a small place but overall really good.

Called in on chance for Sunday lunch. They accommodated 2 adults and 2 dogs even though they were very busy, we both had roast beef and you help yourself to lovely fresh veg the dogs had 2 slices of pork πŸ˜€ We sat in the front bar, which is still very nice and finished off with an apple crumble. We had a wine spritzer and 1 1/2 pints of lime and soda Β£52 which was excellent value considering the beef was nice and thick cut 2 slices. Will visit again but maybe book next time.

A great little find the pub/restaurant, it’s a proper pub, none of this chain lark, a great feel when you walk in, priced very well aswell, 3 cokes a carling pint, 2 packs of crisps Β£12 πŸ˜€ the food smelt fantastic but we wasn’t eating as we was just stopped for a drink, definitely will next time we pass! Shut on Mondays though! Nice garden outside, few apple trees 🌳 A good traditional pub, if I lived local I’d be in there all the time πŸ˜ƒ

This was our first visit. Everything was excellent. Quick service, nice staff and really delicious hot food. King prawn curry and plain rice was a good portion with prawns. The mushroom chow mein was very tasty and not greasy, and the mushrooms in gravy was thick and had lots of flavour. We used to drive into Brigg for our takeaways, but this one in Caistor is now definitely going to be our regular from now on. The best we've had in years! Recommended πŸ‘πŸ˜πŸ‘
