A cracking, challenging course with friendly people working there. Will be returning.

What a course!?! Challenging with the terrain and really well maintained! Will definitely play again with a buggy this time.

Had a really good challenging round of golf,bit of rain wouldn't go amiss but that's a minor complaint and not one to be taken too seriously. Really nice course in decent nick. Will be back to improve on my score.

We had our wedding here yesterday and we had the most amazing time as did our guests. Emma and the entire team were an absolute godsend and so bloody good at what they do. Totally stress free and great communication. Emma you made this so easy for us under our personal circumstances and i can’t express how much we all appreciated this. Been here twice. Best breakfast at a golf club I've had and only 8 quid.

Nice little course for mid to high handicappers, easy on the legs as its relatively flat, the different tee boxes on most holes keeps it interesting on the back 9. The greens were pretty good on the whole especially for the time of year. The only let down was the fairways, there a little bare in places and the odd tee box was a mess but again probably the time of year.

We played footgolf and had a great time. 9 holes took just under an hour. Holes beed remarking but you can work out the order. Good value compared to other courses will definitely revisit.

Nice little 9 hole course. Not the most challenging but greens in good condition.

First time visiting and first time playing for quite a while but the course was great, well maintained and a good variety of challenges. Bar looked great, I just didn't have time to stay this visit🤣

Nice friendly staff, grounds are well looked after. A nice well balanced course with a few tricky spots to catch you out. A good nine hole course.

Been here a few times, not to play golf ( which I have heard is excellent) but just for a drink and some lunch and to enjoy the lovely scenery. The staff are excellent, attentive and hardworking and the bacon sandwich is first class. Attended a funeral here a few years ago and the catering was fabulous. Credit to all who keep it running so smoothly

A compact 9 hole course with a fair few challenges. Best holes are #1 #2 and probably #6, small shop but ample parking.

Excellent value 9 hole course. Some testing drives on narrow fairways mixed in with some easier holes. Highly recommended for novice golfers.

Nice and quiet and ideal for novice or young golfers. Good range of holes (long and short). Can seem a little expensive if doing 18 but can pay for only 9. Cash only is a bit of a challenge though.

First time playing Pontefract today, excellent staff, great course and really good club house.

Course in decent nick, although it could get seriously boggy when real winter arrives. Gale force winds and crazy amounts of leaves blowing around, but enjoyable nevertheless. Food was good too, recommended.

Excellent course, good test of skills, well maintained, friendly atmosphere.

Bunker refurbishment program well on it's way, paths being upgraded & scrub areas extensively cleared throughout the winter, the golf club has a offer of £750 FM & no joining fee. Greens take ball all year round, no matter what club you use.

The course was lovely. Buggies had maps & and yardage, which was great. Buggies stop if you go out of bounds, they should maps & instructions for this Clubhouse & the punts were excellent.

New to golf and visited a few times now with my 16yr old son. Always a warm welcome, not made to feel uncomfortable with not being a member (yet). Out on the course everyone again is always friendly and understanding of us being new to the game. The course is kept in excellent condition. We both recommend visiting
