Absolutely fantastic golf club, thoroughly enjoyed my visit there, Catering staff were faultless and very attentative, Pro shop manager very friendly and informative. The course was in fantastic condition for this time of year and is a credit to the staff behind the scenes. Will definitely be turning in summer.

Played in a Mizuno open comp and course was the best I have played in England. Really good layout with some outstanding holes. Condition of course was perfect. Will be back for this gem!!

This place really doesn't need an introduction or a review. It's one of the best courses in Yorkshire if not the best. Quite exclusive to play, with only 250 male members it's often quiet although can fill up with visitors. It's not cheap unless you play with a member with green fees heading towards £200 around. It has hosted a Ryder cup and was also a designed by the man who designed Augusta national with a number of holes at alwoodley being the foundation design for a holes at Augusta such as the famous 13th par 5. Should be on your bucket list of a keen and serious golfer. Greens are always immaculate.
