Today, I visited Rufus Independent Coffee House and I was thoroughly impressed by the rock theme and overall ambiance of the place. The owner and his staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. One thing that really stood out to me during my visit was how they celebrating the King's Coronation this weekend. They paid tribute to the King of Rock & Roll, Mr. Elvis Presley, by creating a special menu just for the occasion. I had the pleasure of trying "The Elvis" sandwich from this special menu, and I have to say that it was not for the faint of heart. Packed with flavour, it was a true feast for the senses and what a way to celebrate the Coronation. “The was the King’s favorite snack. It goes without saying that it didn’t do him a whole of the good but as an occasional treat…? This is what you get…” Overall, I was impressed by the creativity and attention to detail shown by the Rufus Independent Coffee House team. It was a unique and enjoyable experience that I won't forget anytime soon.

I always say, there is nothing better than a small business. They are just way better than any chain of shops or restaurants out there. They just are. We started visiting Rufus Independent Coffee House in Newbury and we are so happy about it. The place it is so nice and relaxing, the music is nice and just perfect sound, playing in the background. Not too loud, but you can still enjoy it, just perfect. Nice coffee, nice teas and a nice selection of crisps. The staff is super friendly and helpful! And now let me tell you about my favourites! The Chocolate Fudge Cake, it is unbelievably GOOD. It is not your normal chocolate fudge cake, it is especially made by someone, have no idea who for sure is a master in making cakes :))) And the pastries, oh my goodness, just so, so, so good. If you enjoy quality and a relaxing place, you have to visit this place, it is a must! Rufus is now one of my favourite places in Newbury and they are not that many.

Only just found this place been back twice already for the 'Cronuts' - dulce de leche were the best ever ! Really friendly team - and great decor - posters and photo books take me back to my youth !! You can request the jukebox tunes too ! 😋

Went here on a recommendation as I don’t usually come to this part of the town centre. I would definitely recommend a visit. Coffee was probably the best I’ve had in Newbury. There was also a nice selection of cakes on offer. There was a nice atmosphere in the cafe too, neither noisy or library quiet. Will 100% be coming again.

Lovely new coffee house in Newbury with a wide range of pastries, cake and snack options. I had an oat latte, an amazing cheese and marmite crumpet and a piece of carrot bundt cake. My daughter had an almond croissant and a lemonade. Good service and a great atmosphere. The cinema seating is super comfy. A new favourite, we will definately be coming back.
