Nice, fairly short course hidden away in North London. Greens and fairways in good condition. Lot of the bunkers were under repair and not much sand in them. Car park was completely full so had to park a few mins walk away. Overall enjoyed the round and would play here again.

Walking dog & sitting in the sun! Discovering, we could stroll to the clubhouse & have a snack lunch on the terrace with our well-behaved dog! Non-golfers, made very welcome!

Wonderful and challenging mature course. Green keepers do a fantastic job. Captain welcoming and a great bunch of golfers that makes it a super social club. Bar staff superb. The pro is excellent if you need some help as well.

Played here a few times now, lovely course. Well kept fairways and greens. Beautiful scenery and lovely lake. Challenging course. Unusual way of getting to the course from the club house. You have to use the underpass to get to the other side of the duel carriage way. Food is good and a very good bar selection especially whiskeys 😉 Staff throughout the club are nice and friendly.

Very nice golf club. Tricky course with some very interesting holes! Greens were lovely, fast and very well kept. The course was very well kept. Enjoyed the challenge. Staff throughout were very friendly. Bar has a good selection and sandwiches we had were really good. Definitely recommend a visit here.

It’s better to make a reservation or wait until a person finishes. This place is usually busy. It’s a very good spot for a weekend getaway with friends or just by yourself. Very affordable and well maintained.

We are Nextdor Neighbour finding really comfortable place to play family kids it’s a very good time nice small restaurant. Team is very good work in . Italian restaurant for food is great. They took so long to take our order. We had to go and reminder at reception..

I have been and still am a member of many clubs however I have never come across such a welcoming group of golfers and staff. They make you feel at home to the, that you could almost turn up in your slippers, from the minute you get there. The course is challenging and kept in amazing condition and to be able to play nine holes in about 90 minutes virtually in the centre of London is a fantastic privilege. They have spent a lot of money on the course and facilities and to employ a drink on the terrace with views over London is magical. Well done Mark, Wendy and the team.

Overview— Beautiful and welcoming course that now boasts a vibrant cohort of young members - there is a great connection of respect between the older and younger people at the club. Course & Improvements— There have been significant improvements to the club house and course in the last few years — and there are more to come! The course drains really well during the winter months so you can play almost all year round without fear of a mud bath. Mark and the greens keepers are top notch at maintaining and fixing issues. Both tricky and rewarding — you’ve got to play well to shoot a good score round at HGC! It’s only a 9 hole but every hole is unique with its own challenges, there’s no filler holes. Culture— I found the environment to be very friendly — golf can be daunting to get into, the atmosphere here helped me feel comfortable to play a lot (just by booking on with random members) and get down from ~30 to ~13 HCP. There is a good mix of low, mid and high handicappers and they all play along side each other. This club was my first experience of golf (been here 2 years now) and after visiting other clubs I’m so thankful to have landed here. Hampstead Golf Club has a great opportunity to become a hidden gem of North London. It focuses on the importance aspects of tradition without making enemies of the future and the positive cultural change the game is going through. It marries the wonderful history of the game with a youthful outlook.

Our team from GM Dental and Implant Centre in Barnet had an incredible time at Old Fold Manor Golf Club today! As first-time golfers, we weren't sure what to expect, but the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the friendly and professional staff who made us feel welcome and at ease. The course itself was simply breathtaking. The well-maintained fairways, lush greens, and stunning views created a picturesque backdrop for our game. It was evident that the management and staff take great pride in the upkeep of the facilities, ensuring a top-notch golfing experience for their visitors. Being beginners, we appreciated the club's beginner-friendly atmosphere. The staff provided us with a brief introduction to the game and patiently answered all our questions. Moreover, the overall ambiance of the club was delightful. The clubhouse offered a cozy and inviting atmosphere where we could relax and share stories about our shots. The amenities, including the pro shop and the restaurant, were well-stocked and provided everything we needed to enhance our experience. Finally, the prices were reasonable, considering the quality of the facilities and services provided. We felt that we received great value for our money, and we can confidently say that we will be coming back for more rounds in the future. Beautiful course, good flow the 9th was a bit challenging for me. Cosy club house, good choice of drinks at a very fair price. Had a nice chat with Brendon and Chris from the bar. The food was delicious and extremely reasonably priced. I had a lovely burger and my friend had the soup of the day, which I had to try and truly enjoyed. Got the pleasure of saying hi to the two wonderful chefs, George and Noah who are very skilled, passionate and polite. I am considering a membership and will be returning for the course, food and drinks. Thank you OFM!

Well kept course. Fairways and greens were fantastic. Even the rough was kept under control. Course is not that challenging, wide fairways and not that many hazards. Good confidence booster if you're not playing too well 😉. Club house was really nice and the young barman on duty the afternoon we were there was really friendly. Good choice of beers and spirits. I was told the food served here is also very good, we did not get a chance to try any.

Fantastic golf course, picturesque greens, and fairways. State of the art range to practice your game. The clubhouse/restaurant is super modern and spotlessly clean. The food was really tasty and the service was excellent. I'll definitely be coming back for more.

Excellent course (fair value in the week at £35 a round) greens are pretty slow for this stage of summer, although July has been wet, I think they were watered as they were particularly spongey. The course is challenging enough, a few birdie chances on the par 3s and one short par 5 in particular. Back nine seems a bit tighter off the tee than the front. Restaurant food was very high quality and different to what you would expect at a Golf club. Very much enjoyed the sharing plates we ate afterwards and kudos to the Portugese manager who was great. Keen to play on the weekend, but tee times on website not very clear.

It’s a great course and at the moment the greens are perfect. The tee boxes have just been scarified and sanded, the roughs are not too bad. In winter the fairways get soggy but perfect right now. The geese poo on the greens just to mess you up!

On behalf of the Potters Bar Crusaders I would like to thank Emma and the team at Hertsmere golf club. We had a great breakfast before setting off which was self service. The course was in fantastic condition and weather was too. We played in memory of Brian Bett who was our club steward for many years! The club donated a 4 ball which we auctioned off in the evening raising money to go The Royal British Legion. Great club! Thanks again!

Lovely par 68 course, can get to it easily from London on the Metropolitan line. We paid £23.50 each on a Saturday morning which is great value for the course. In good nick at the moment although perhaps it could get a bit boggy in the winter months. Definitely recommend it though and shall be back - particularly after my first ever 79! 🏌‍♂️

It's a lovely course for the money. Some of the greens are very wet for this time of year but the course as a whole is in good condition. We didn't pre book which we later found out that if you book online you will save £5 per person

Bit of a mud bath, though cheap n cheerful. Pro was no where in sight for half an hour. No trollies or buggies due to the amount of mud, but we wasn't informed of this. A real mix of either long holes or short holes. Not much in the middle. Surprised they didn't close when the fog descended as it can be very dangerous. Had some guy in full anger mode as he seemed to be in a rush with his girlfriend following and not being allowed to play as he stalked off complaining at everyone. Otherwise kind of enjoyed it all. Will definitely go back.

I had a lovely morning playing The Prince’s course this morning at Richmond Park Golf Course. The staff was very friendly and I was able to hire some clubs. The clubs were a bit old and beat up but I guess that’s to be expected with a public course. They still played fine. The course itself is beautiful with lots of birds and foxes on the course. I landed my ball on the green with a nice pitch shot and this fox darted out of the bushes and tried to steal my ball haha. It was quite comical and a unique experience. Keep an eye out for those sly foxes. Also, bring extra balls because you will lose a bunch unless you have great aim. The rough is extremely thick and dense. While I lost lots a few balls I also found a few so it evened out. Overall a fun course close to London. I’d definitely go back.

Excited about playing a course that I’ve not played in 15 years. The course layout is good, very flat and straight, however bunkers are very well placed and the fairways are mostly undulating so shot selection is key. Course is okish, could be better, however greens are true can be attacked very well. The rough needs work as when a ball lands in it it’s very tough to find them. Staff are very friendly and there is a good beer selection!
