Great place that is warm, welcoming and friendly and good accommodation at very good value for money It does organised events such as walking weekends and is also available for private parties or even for go as you please I have been to the centre over the years for various events and each time it is a great time and a unique event and the food is great Good value for money and the views are fantastic

Excellent venue for a group residential experience. Friendly welcoming staff, lovely accommodation, lots of different spaces, interesting artwork. Clean, modern rooms. Great views and surrounding countryside.

Beautiful old building in a glorious location. It rained almost all the time we were there but the view was still magnificent. The inside doesn't really match up to the exterior, sadly, but it's pleasant enough, and comfortable. I didn't eat or stay overnight there to comment on those aspects, although the fact that not all rooms are en suite has stopped me booking the centre for my next residential conference.

I had the pleasure of going there with my uni, for a writing retreat. Though they have basic dorms (as it is mainly used for hikers) the common rooms were super inviting, wonderfully charming and truthfully comfy. They have a little outside park with swing sets, which me and the uni group I was with had a lot of fun on 😆. The staff looked after us and were so helpful. The cooks and servers were also amazing, the food was surprisingly delicious and I could tell so much effort was placed into making sure of that. Cleanliness was to standard, any issues we had were easily informed and fixed and the meals were not stingy portions, allowing you to go back for secondsif you've run up an appetite walking around the beautiful Great Hucklow. The views are wonder, rolling fields and fresh countryside air are the perfect refresher, and I would whole heartedly recommend anyone to go for some relaxation and I shall be booking a visit for myself, my partner and my family. Bookings are either a solo hire, (where you book pretty much the whole 'bookable' area, or you can share hire, where you can book rooms but the common rooms are shared with you and other visitors. Both have food package options. In conclusion, what a lovely place and use of the nightingale centre. If you go, I hope you have a wonderful stay!
