We stayed with a very large family group, using all the beds and the entire camping area. The centre is really good value - for the price the facilities are as expected and if anything, we were pleasantly surprised by the size and comfort of both the lounge and dining room areas. The kitchen proved large and well equipped enough to cater successfully for around 120 people, without too much fuss. Its a shame there is such a strict rule about noise outside after 10pm - as it was summer we sat outside for longer than the rules stated, and although the worst of the noise was some acoustic music and singing, I believe there were complaints to the owners about the noise. My only other constructive criticism would be: more toilets, and perhaps warn people to bring a sheet as the plastic coating on the beds was very uncomfortable against any exposed skin!

Great base venue for an outdoor weekend. We stayed in a large group (22 adults) and the lounge, kitchen and dining facilities were great for the evenings cooking, eating and entertainment. Was nice and warm with the fire blazing (it was the middle of February with snow on the ground outside). Would recommend to any large group wanting to experience the Peak District, which has absolutely loads on offer for activities and outdoor adventures.

This is a spacious and well equipped venue. The only observation is.. for the numbers catered for there should be a commercial dishwasher and large double sink. Camping area is pretty but very slopey and damp even in summer. Guests should not be expected to clean thoroughly if they have paid the cleaning fee. Recycling should be encouraged.

What a fabulous place. We stayed for a weekend away with friends and we loved it. Comfortable, well equipped and an amazing location. So much to do and so beautiful. It was easy to get to and the efficient local bus service was an unexpected bonus! The owner was really helpful and welcoming and we will be back. Thank you
