Absolutely fantastic. I stayed here the night before my wedding with my bridesmaids and mum, and had hair and makeup started there. Zoe was so hospitable and welcoming. We loved the honesty bar, especially the homemade brownies that were provided. The continental breakfast in the morning was excellent - more of the brownies! We all loved the decor. I'd love to come back again for another visit!

Held a private reception here for a family funeral. Excellent communication from staff beforehand, very helpful and friendly and accommodating for setting everything out in the room as we liked. Clean and quirky place, and the vegetarian afternoon tea buffet was exceptionally good. Very generous amounts of food, no-one went hungry. Delicious, homemade food of high quality and good variety. Several guests commented that it was one of the best buffets they had ever tasted at a public venue. I thought it a much better standard than some afternoon teas at fancy hotels.

We recently stayed at The Coach House for a wedding, checking in on a Sunday evening and staying until Tuesday morning. The entire booking process was seamless, especially when we wanted to add a second night - this was dealt with via email very easily and were so glad we added the additional night. The rooms are very cosy - we stayed in room 5 in the external building from the main house. The room was spacious, warm and had stylish fixtures. The bed was comfortable with luxurious bedding. The mini bar and complimentary items provided were great although we didn’t actually use any during our stay. The amenities in the room are very helpful, iron/hairdryer and high quality toiletries. The breakfast during our stay was wonderful - great choice and service in the cosy dining room. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and would recommend to anyone attending a wedding in one of the nearby venues to book this B&B.

Beautiful wooden Lodge, private hot tub. On a working farm. No WiFi when we visited and due to location poor mobile signal. Very relaxing 😌

The reality of a well equipped, clean, comfortable and accessible set of three lodges was a pleasure to discover.

We rented the smallest of the cabins for 1 week and we have loved it. The kitchen is extremely well appointed and spotless. The sitting room area is really cosy with the fire on and the squishy leather sofa's. The hot tub is fantastic and a really good size considering the cabin is for four people, most thigs like that say they will fit four but you are on top of each other, this has plenty of space. The bedrooms and bathrooms are again well appointed, the only downside we have found to the bedroom is that the main bed is a double and we have become used to a much larger bed, that is not to say the bed is uncomfortable at all because it is nice, it is just what we have become used to at home. The area is lovely and quiet, there are so many beautiful walks close by and a plethora of great places to eat. All in all we would highly recommend Oaklands lodges.

Had our wedding at Thorpe Garden last month and we filled Constantine House with our guests. It’s the perfect way to extend your wedding weekend. The staff were incredibly friendly and the house is perfectly set up for 42 people! Would definitely recommend this house!!

What an amazing stay we had at Constantine House. It added an extra beautiful element to our wedding experience and allowed our guests to celebrate the wedding together both on the day and the next morning. We have had brilliant communication prior to the wedding and on the wedding day. They went above and beyond on the wedding day to ensure that our day went smoothly with regards to checking in and catering for our groups needs. The rooms were beautiful and modern, whilst fitting in with the picturesque surroundings and the breakfast and drinks in the morning was spot on. We booked the house with exclusive access for the night of our wedding. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, however some of our guests had issues with power and heating. Most staff was very helpful to resolve these issues. We would definitely stay again and would recommend.

After an amazing wedding day, staying at Constantine House was the perfect way to top it all off. The accommodation was comfortable, stylish, and had a wonderfully homely feel. The staff were incredibly attentive, and the breakfast was delicious. If you're booking your wedding at Thorpe Garden, staying at Constantine House is a must — you won't regret it! P.S. If you can’t sleep after all the excitement, the sunrise at breakfast is breathtaking.

We had the most wonderful stay at Breedon Hall. We stayed in the main house and Mews the night before my wedding. The accommodation was superb, giving us plenty of space to get ready on the wedding morning. Charles & Charlotte were brilliant hosts and cooked the most fabulous breakfast. I've been meaning to review Breedon Hall for a long time, but I've wanted to take my time on writing the great review they deserve. As you can see in my user name, my name is Breedon. I've wanted to visit my namesake village for many years-- and to be able to point to it on the map and say "I've been there!" My wife and I finally make it in October, and we were lucky to have Breedon Hall as the place to stay! We visited from the USA as part of a two week whirlwind honeymoon trip in UK and the continent. It was my first trip away from North America and her first trip across the Atlantic. I found Breedon to be the most peaceful, friendly place and a big part of it was my stay here. I've never stayed at a bed and breakfast before. After this, I definitely shall again, but maybe I've been spoiled by my first experience here! Instantly, we were welcomed by the innkeepers like we were their own family! Breakfasts were made to order and we enjoyed conversation with them and the other guests. In the evenings, we relaxed in the drawing room (a term I learned from this trip, actually, as we don't say that where I'm from :)) as we wrote in our travel journals. We're told the whole house was restored from its time as office space for thr quarry. It was certainly restored well! I would never have known its past. The room was very comfortable and quiet. I think we stayed in one of the smallest ones and it was good enough for the two of us! The inn is also very convenient to the pub across the street. It's a small pub but it was lively on Thursday night. To all other Breedons who visit-- definitely stay here! We were told we were the third. We must be a nerdy bunch!

Our recent stay at Breedon Hall Country House Hotel exceeded our expectations! Charles and Charlotte were incredibly welcoming, and our room was spacious and beautifully decorated overlooking the garden. If you appreciate old houses and are looking for a relaxing getaway this is perfect. We took the dogs who were also made welcome. Breakfast was fabulous, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where nothing was too much trouble. The hotel’s tranquil setting was perfect for a relaxing weekend. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

Beautiful twin room, very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, everyone ate together on 1 table. hosts were so friendly and happy to accommodate. We stayed for download festival,was nice and close , easy for a taxi or driving but not for a bus. Just be careful leaving flips flops in the entrance hall - I sacrificed mine to the spaniels - who are so lovely and friendly. We would stay again Claire & Anna

There was nine of us sharing two of the cottages for a hen weekend and we couldn't have been more happy with our stay. We were shown around on arrival, and given such a warm welcome. Many of our group are now thinking about staying here with their families. The pool and jacuzzi are amazing and so relaxing. Thank you so much to the owners for making our weekend away memorable!!

Brilliant place to stay. Rooms were very clean, swimming pool and jacuzzi was warm owners welcomed us upon arrival and made ensure were had everything we needed. Local shops nearby if you had forgotten anything. Would definitely be going back.

We had a great time here. The hosts welcomed us up on arrival and then left us to our own devices. The cottage was clean and well equipped. Local shops were not to far to get any forgotten items. The pool was clean and warm. Would highly recommend anyone who wants to get away from it all and relax this is the place to come. The hosts were always on hand for any questions or directions. We booked all three cottages for a long weekend attending a nearby wedding. The owners were really friendly, accommodated our requests for the photographer and hair/ make up team to visit and made us all feel very welcome, especially their adorable miniature poodles! The location is beautiful, from the tree lined entrance and garden to the tastefully presented cottages. The facilities including pool table and table tennis to the swimming pool and jacuzzi were great and kept both the adults and teenagers happy. Everyone in our party had a great time, thank you both so much.

Just had a lovely relaxing week at Mahonia Lodge. It's spacious with everything you need for a family holiday. Jeremy was responsive to queries and extremely helpful. Mercia Marina is a great place to shop, eat and relax.

Fantastic accommodation at a reasonable price. Great views as next to the canal. Be sure to visit the Dragon pub and restaurant next door. Plenty of parking at the venue plus a free car park across the road. Close ties to the railway station and other establishments within the village of Willington

Did not eat here but rooms are good value and comfortable maybe not so great for disabled as stairs aplenty. Busy pub but limited seating for guests and not exactly amenable to let us drink in eating area although plenty spare

Lovely, quiet room, warm and comfortable. Close to The Dragon pub where breakfast was served. We had half board, which was incredible value for money. Complimentary glass of wine, 20% off drinks at the bar and really delicious food. Would highly recommend.

Just had a wonderful Burns Night everything at the Dovecliff hall hotel? The food was beautiful as were the staff, so welcoming and a great atmosphere with the other guests, would highly recommend this venue for a relaxing event evening. Thoroughly enjoyed being there. Loved our waitress.. totally

Beautiful setting for a family celebration. Friendly and attentive staff made our stay very special - nothing was too much trouble. We were able to have the library and drawing room to ourselves. The grounds were great for the kids and dog. Lovely walks nearby.

We have recently had our wedding here at dovecliff me and my wife felt like queens. The staff gave us 5star experience, they couldn’t do enough for us. Our wedding was truly amazing with thanks to Jordan and all the staff at Dovecliff. We will definitely be returning for a meal or show. Jordan and the staff couldn’t do enough for us and were so accommodating in every way possible. The planning of the day went perfectly and smoothly. Enjoyed an afternoon tea with friends. Could have been warmer in the room but had a lovely gas fire going. Food was excellent. Would recommend the venue.

It is remote and hard to find. GPS did not work coming from the North traveling south on A38. But once you find it, you can relax. It is mostly self-service with no on-site restaurants. But we knew that coming in. Cabin had full kitchen with a washer. So we brought a few days of food and drinks for the stay.

Fantastic place to stay, it’s a beautiful country house converted to self catering accommodation. The grounds are extensive and well maintained.

Lovely place with lots to do on the grounds. Apartment was a bit noisy (thanks to neighbors to one side and very creaky stairs), but generally, well-stocked. The washing machine was partially broken (wouldn't dry, said it needed a technician). No cafe or pub on the premises.

Wonderful hotel, best in the area. Hard to get a room as v popular. Rooms are large and many have countryside views. Chance to see your favourite footballer too!

Great hotel with good food and good service and facilities were great. Great location. Bumped into a few familiar faces which is always a thrill. Went on business to attend conference and the venue was great for such an event. Overall, could not fault the place really.

Great hotel and location - it feels very prestigious and I saw a few famous people wandering around when I stayed here recently for a business trip. Room was great, with a nice view and very comfortable bed. I loved that I could order from a ‘pillow menu’ with my preference of pillow. Restaurant and food was great, albeit a bit expensive on drinks! All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful, I will definitely stay here again.
