“Came here for afternoon tea with some friends and couldn’t fault the food & drink. The venue is absolutely beautiful and I’ll definitely be coming back for the spa experience. The parking is very busy, but it’s quite a big car park so you should be able to find a space. Can imagine it’s beautiful in the spring/summer months when the weather is better too as the grounds are stunning.”

“We have recently had our wedding here at dovecliff me and my wife felt like queens. The staff gave us 5star experience, they couldn’t do enough for us. Our wedding was truly amazing with thanks to Jordan and all the staff at Dovecliff. We will definitely be returning for a meal or show. Jordan and the staff couldn’t do enough for us and were so accommodating in every way possible. The planning of the day went perfectly and smoothly. Thanks again Dovecliff for supporting us to give us a perfect day. Lisa and Katherine”

“Booked for 2 nights in March. Lovely spacious clean room and bathroom, with great views of the river Trent. All the staff were friendly and helpful but James, in the restaurant, where we had an afternoon tea(which was delicious) and dinner , was particularly great and couldn't do enough for us. Only negatives were they could have done with a wider dinner menu choice, bath handle and non slip mat. I don't normally write a review when we go away but had seen some of the not so complimentary ones online and had to say this was not our experience whatsoever.”

“Lovely lodge with hot tub. Weird that its basically off a normal housing estate, we loved the geese flying over each night while we were in the hot tub. Full of everything you need including a dishwasher and washer / dryer. Only downside would be how close the lodges are to each other - if i was in the bedroom or kitchen i could see straight through to the next lodge. Some minor cosmetic issues which you expect. We had a lovely time. Very quiet site.”

“Nice hotel room. Very spacious. Swimming pool and jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Gym. Not the best of starts as my booking reservation was not recognised and took 45 minutes to get sorted out as only one receptionist. Went to restaurant which opened at 6.30. Large restaurant, but was told it was full as there was a tour party and told the next booking was at 7.45 pm, even though there was only a dozen people in the restaurant. Went back at 7.45 pm to find still empty and the same dozen people. When we asked where the tour party was. The answer was the 12 people were the tour party?. Wasn't very impressed with 12 people making the large restaurant FULL and having to wait over an hour to get in. The food was nice although quite a wait from ordering it to getting the food. The breakfast was good, buffet style and had a good selection. Would stay again as better than the Premier Inn I normally stay in. Hopefully the reservation won't get lost and the service and restaurant a bit quicker.”

“Great place for a nice relaxing break away. We had a great anniversary stay. Highlights were definitely the relaxed atmosphere, strolling around the resort in our robes and flip flops. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were perfect with lots of choice and great food. Minus the £4.50 we paid for some burnt root veg. Massage and facial were good and left us very relaxed. Down side to the resort, sadly, the rooms are a little dated and well worn, and the pushed together single beds were very uncomfortable. The spa is also very dated and in need of repair and update, which may have been the reason the pool and the hydro pool were lukewarm. We were also disappointed that the steam rooms were separated male and female. Still, this didn't ruin our anniversary. We still had a great time. Would definitely like to return, but maybe after some renovation!”

“I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn for couple of nights and couldn't be more pleased. I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff - The Manager, Omar & Reception Team & Bar & Restaurant Team were so friendly, helpful & professional. The room is modern, with all the amenities I needed, I appreciated a big hairdryer, convenient hand shower, and quiet air conditioning, small touches that made a big difference—options some hotels in Derby don’t have. The food was fresh, tasty, and nicely presented, arriving at my table in time. I have decided to make it my go-to hotel from now on. Highly recommended!”
