When I purchased a dilapidated Victorian Cottage situated on the picturesque Cranleigh Cricket Green, A V Design were recommended to me through a friend who had used their services in the past. As it turns out, the recommendation couldn’t have been a better fit.

A V Designs vision for the internal and external spaces were overwhelming. The 2 bedrooms on the first floor were only accessible via a steep and narrow staircase (located on the wrong side of the cottage), the property only benefitted from 1 bathroom located on the ground floor, a tiny kitchen was situated in a mixture of small and unusable rooms.

A V Design have been transformed the ground floor into a sympathetic open plan living space, the extension proposed and obtained by A V Design was also granted. Allowing for a third bedroom and 3 upstairs en-suites. With the additional windows, reconfiguration of the spaces and the use bi-fold doors – my tired and dark Victorian Cottage was transformed. A V Design specified all the interior décor, joinery, lighting/electrical plans and finishes, to suit a classic and timeless feel. The transformation is utterly charming whilst functional.

The garden whilst an awkward shape and overgrown, included only one tree worth keeping. The garden is less than 2 years old and looks like it has been there forever. Providing me with a sanctuary 365 days a year 24/7 with the clever use of outdoor lighting and borders that provide interest for each season. Privacy was an issue and the use of fences wasn’t an option, A V Design completely removed an overgrown privet hedge which had spread 2.5meters wide into an already small garden. Pleached trees and mature yew hedging have been used to create a series of outdoor rooms, which, at a flick of a switch are subtlety lit by outdoor lights. A V Designs philosophy of ‘inside/outside’ works harmoniously with the bi-fold doors creating an alfresco experience, whilst, each window benefits from a glorious view of the garden. Bradley Burgess and his team are utterly brilliant, they understood the brief, offered solutions to every concern about preserving the historical significance of the property whilst also making it functional. A V Design have created my dream home, Lizzie Kempson.

AV Design performed a garden overhaul for us and we were really impressed with the results. They very excellent during the planning and implementation of the project despite my constant question sand requests! Highly recommended!

I had the pleasure of working with Bradley on my modern new build property, the brief was to add character to our home, and my goodness did he exceed our expectations. He is an exceptional garden landscaper and interior designer, he has transformed our property into a stunning country estate. He added the perfect touch of English country charm with beautiful white Annabelle hydrangeas, jasmine and wisteria all finished off with stunning taxus hedges around the entire property.

The fusion of classic and modern elements in the interior design is nothing short of breathtaking. His attention to detail and creativity truly exceeded our expectations. We are thrilled with the result, and we can't recommend him enough.

Adding Value Design did an incredible job in securing a planning application for my property early in 2019. The CAD drawings and vision were exactly what my house and I needed. A V Design communicated directly with the local borough, provided 3-D visuals and secured the permission. Following the permission being granted, three tender bids from various construction firms were assessed and managed by Bradley. The build has just been completed and I couldn’t be happier. The house works seamlessly with the outside spaces. During the process, Bradley reconfigured the internal parts of the house (after a little persuasion) which I am thrilled with. The next phase will be the interior decoration and garden re-design. I have no hesitation in recommending! Alexandra
