Very good variety and healthy plants. Personnel highly knowledgeable and helpful. 4 stars due to price tags not being displayed on most plants.

Penwood Nurseries is a local family run nursery. We bought two pear trees, an apple tree and a black berry plant and a few other gardening things. We will be returning for more. They have an impressive collection of trees of all kinds and lots of plants and shrubs. All are healthy and well looked after. The nursery is well designed and with ample parking. The prices are very competitive too. The staff are busy but knowledgeable and helpful when you need them.

I don’t want to tell you because you will be there, but it’s really good. They’re helpful. They know what they’re talking about and they’re not too expensive. What else could you ask for?

Working plant nursery, with a wide range of perennials, shrubs, hedging and trees. Knowledgeable, friendly staff and very competitive prices. Plants in great condition, mostly grown in the nursery and so hardy and acclimatised. Do come here for shrubs that would normally cost a small fortune, filling a border or finding a specific plant you want. Don't come here if you want coffee and a selection of fudge (but there are other nice places in the area for that, so you can make a morning of it).

Came here last week and all I can say is wow! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with our many questions (new to gardening) and the prices compared to garden centres were second to none! Really impressed and will only come here now to buy future plants and shrubs!
