I had a tooth extraction performed by Dr. Varun Barath last week and I must say, he is truly an outstanding dentist. From the moment I walked into his practice, I was impressed by his professionalism and friendly demeanor. Dr. Barath took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure to me, outlining both the negatives and positives so that I could make an informed decision about my aching tooth. He never rushed me or pressured me in any way, which I greatly appreciated. The extraction itself was done with precision and care, and I felt at ease throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend Dr. Varun Barath to anyone in need of dental care. He is truly a top-notch professional.

Dr Varun, Holly, this practise, is just astounding! I had a dental emergency, I had lost a rather large filling which was incredibly close to my nerve, which was causing me a LOT of pain. After ringing my dentist and them telling me I could only be seen in 5 weeks, I quickly (whilst slightly panicking) googled emergency dentists in my area. National Dental, in Dorchester, popped up with some great reviews, so I decided to ring them. After explaining my situation, Holly made me an appointment for 2 hours time (relief)! I was ever so slightly nervous due to the sheer pain of my tooth, and having some bad experiences in the past with it. Dr Varun, and Holly, were both incredibly reassuring, and Dr Varun explained in detail every step of the procedure, showed me what was going to happen on a model of some teeth, he couldn't have been any clearer, even explaining every detail of what was happening during the procedure. Now, when I tell you that they operate on a pain free basis, I mean it! I didn't feel a single thing, despite the sensitivity and close proximity to the nerve of my tooth. The procedure was done quickly, but not rushed! Which is something a lot of dentist do, RUSH! I left completely pain free, with my dental problem treated, all within the space of 4 hours! I can not thank, or recommend, this team and practise enough!

All dental work to be undertaken was carefully explained verbally and with use of x-rays and dental modelling. The importance of dental hygiene daily to help to keep teeth and gums healthy was explained fully. The treatment carried out over a few appointments was painless and I am very pleased with the outcomes. All staff are friendly and take their time to ensure that patients questions are answered and understood. I would fully recommend this Dental and Implant Centre.

I had a consultation with Dr Barath today, the session started with a professional greeting from the staff and Dr Barath himself, he then provided a comprehensive examination and X-rays, followed by a full report on what he had found. The level of expertise from Dr Barath was fantastic and I had total confidence in his advice, I really appreciated that he took the time to explain to me how to take better care of my teeth and why it’s so important to have a care routine at home in place as well as clinical intervention. Many thanks for your help today, will look forward to returning in the new year!

I had a very bad experience with my last dental practice, so I registered my family with Aspen House and our Dentist Alex is fantastic, she rectified the damage or issues the other dental practice had caused. We have a large family and live a fair distance away but she always accommodates us to fit in with our family so that we can all be seen together. The staff are friendly and polite and our dentist is amazing with my children and settles them from any nerves. I highly recommend this dental practice.

I have been a patient at Black Swan for several years and have found every part of the service to be exemplary from the Reception staff through to the Hygienists and Dentists. I recently had extensive and difficult work done to correct a problem and Ahmad was so understanding and spent considerable time and effort ensuring that I was happy with the result. I cannot imagine any of my previous dentists taking this amount of trouble. I feel confident in knowing that Ahmad and his team will always strive to choose the best treatment I need.

Have been with Black Swan for at least 12 years. It can’t be often that people say they enjoy going to the dentist but I do. The team is welcoming and supportive. Procedures are clearly explained and why one needs them likewise. I can’t praise the whole team enough.

As a very nervous dental patient, I cannot recommend Black Swan more highly. I am currently undergoing a course of treatment with Dooha who is not only exceptionally knowledgeable but also exceptionally understanding and human. I’ve been totally put at ease and feel genuinely cared for by the entire team. The reception staff are second to none, and play such a vital role in the whole experience. I wouldn’t go anywhere else (it also helps that it also feels like you’re stepping into a 5* hotel when you enter the building!)

I had an emergency appointment followed by a filling a week later My whole experience was very well managed from the first call booking in right through to the final appointment- all handled with the professionalism and kindness I have come to appreciate in the 28+ years of being with Lumley and Wood They are handling the current health situation brilliantly If you have any concerns about attending during this time wipe them away as everything is handled correctly with no risks whatsoever. I had a dental emergency so called Simon Wood at Lumley and Wood to arrange an appointment. I was expecting a wait as the surgery had only just re opened but I was delighted to get an appointment within an hour or two of the call. The surgery was running a very efficient system with questions relating to COVID-19 both before and on arrival. My temperature was checked and hand sanitizer was provided. The surgery entrance was only opened for booked patients. I felt very safe in the surgery environment as the staff were wearing PPE with my dentist using a visor and a mask in addition to the usual measures. Extra equipment had been installed to extract the circulating air after every patient and cleaning of surfaces and longer gaps between patients were organised. An excellent service, as always, in what felt like a very safe environment.

The treatment I’ve had from saving damaged teeth to recently fitting me with my amazing new replacements has been exemplary. I unfortunately had a filling come away from a front tooth, I felt awful and embarrassed.....I did not anyone to see it. I managed to get an appointment quickly with a lady dentist....she gave me advice on what she could do for me, after discussing my options I went for veneers on my two front teeth....she worked on my teeth for a mould to be taken. I then had to go back for another mould to be taken.....my third appointment was to have the veneers fitted. The whole experience was amazing from the receptionist, dentists and assistance, I could not thank them enough.....thank you once again x

Excellent dentists and assistants. In this day and age I am not supposed to say this but they are "all good looking". I suppose after saying that, I will be taken away to a place of execution and shot. We are all able to get dentistry on the N H S providing the practice is registered with the N H S. It's not the dentist that is registered but the practice.
