We regularly visit Cuppies for a toastie and a coffee and one of their delicious cakes or tray bakes. Yesterday we visited for a special Mothers Day afternoon tea, the food was delicious, the tea kept flowing and we were so full at the end that we had to ask for a box to bring some leftovers home. The food is always delicious and plentiful, the coffee is good, the cafe is always clean, the staff are friendly. The cafe is dog friendly (dogs are allowed both inside and outside). Definitely subscribe to their social media, they do offered now and again, have specials on certain days eg cinnamon buns on Friday. They host craft workshops, I attended a 3D beading workshop but they do a lovely variety. Cuppies is a delightful alternative to a large chain cafe.

Gluten free cake decorating with Natalie at Cuppies. She was able to adapt so that everything was safe for me. A wonderful afternoon learning and having a lovely time in a small group. Natalie made everything feel easy, answered all of our questions and assured us that everything was fixable! She really understood about cross contamination, so it was the perfect afternoon!

Been here a dozen times. Friendly staff, good food. Brookies, cookie pie, cupcakes, millionaire shortbread, many tasty options for desert. Plus toasties, chai lattes, and many other coffees. They also have a brunch menu that serves things like maple pancakes and avacado toast (see pic). Had the avocado toast for the first time today, and boy is it never owning a house to have. The crumbled feta extra (£2 extra) was totally worth it. Really added to the texture and flavour. Also topped with seeds, bacon's and spice/chill. A delight that will fill you up as well as a toastie. Two of these, a couple of chai lattes and three sweet treats for later set us back £42, so be prepared to pay a lil more for the great food. Not a Costa or Pret though, a small business that is part of the local community. Also dog friendly, with dog treats available.

My daughter and I were booked for an afternoon tea, which unfortunately they weren't aware of. Once they had established what had happened, the team couldn't be nicer in apologising and getting our afternoon tea together in record speed. It was absolutely amazing with so much food that we had to take it home with us. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Chrissie is very friendly and polite. We always feel very welcomed. Food is fresh and tasty. We love both inside and outside of the tea room. We can feel that they run the tea room from the heart. The decorations inside are very beautiful and the outside is spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. Lovely, friendly service. We had a lovely seat outside overlooking the fields/farm on a nice sunny day. This is absolutely a hidden Gem and the ladies running it deserve all the praise. Good delicious and presented with care. They do an amazing ploughman’s and special shout out for the homemade scones! Value for money too which is an added bonus. We can’t wait to come back, thank you!i

I have been here a few times, always nice food, lovely ambience. Proper little tea room. The menu is good and I've always had good food. This time I didn't have food as we'd already eaten but the tea was lovely and plentiful.

Quaint hidden gem in Hook on a working farm. Surroundings thankfully untouched by all the new build houses going up. Small but delicious menu. A few gift items if one wants to buy. Food price okay. Limited seating but decent parking. Lovely ambience. Met some friendly locals. Greeted by Chrissy who provided excellent service. All in all an enjoyable experience and would recommend. Oh and yes table No. 3. They should tax all the electric cars and give the petrol/diesel cars a tax break! 😂

Downlight have rewired my house, fitted solar panels along with the inventor and batteries in addition to helping arrange and install an air source heat pump. Due to the the long running job and different elements involved i got to meet many different members of the team. I was really impressed with how professional the team were with all of the work they carried out to high standard and snag free. A big plus was the communication was clear and frequent meaning everything was carried out exactly as we requested. All the team we meet were really friendly and nothing was ever to much trouble meaning they were great to work with. I would highly recommend and i will use again in the future.

I encountered a complex wiring issue with my electric cooker hob and sought assistance from various electricians without success. Highly recommend Glorious Gardens Son & Co! Straight from the start they were extremely polite and very knowledgeable about what they were doing which gave me confidence with them doing my garden. They cleared all the leaves, cut all the hedges and striped the lawn perfectly. I was extremely happy with their visit so I got them back to do a fencing job for me which they absolutely smashed. My garden looks absolutely beautiful. I had my patio and fences done with beautiful block paving which makes my garden look so big and lovely even fencing! Good attention to detail with only perfect being the acceptable outcome for them. The hedges have been trimmed so beautifully and lawn was also cut. Really impressed and recommend!

I contacted Mike due to a problem I had with excess heat being generated in my airing cupboard/ hot water cylinder area. Mike arrived at the agreed time and after me explaining the problem he quickly identified the fault as a u/s water valve. He then went away to get the part, returned and fitted it and all was well. Bamboo!! Do I need to say more! Ugh, plagued my garden, had it removed 4 times by other gardeners… ALWAYS came back. Brad and the team removed it, not come back (18 months) , not one shoot!! I couldn’t be more grateful, the team went the extra mile and even asked for access to the neighbours garden to chase it all out. I highly recommend them

I am an absolutely delighted with service provided by Niall's Plumbing & Heating. They were not only be able to accommodate my urgent visit on Sunday to service my boiler but also provided a comprehensive overview & education to our heating and boiling system of recently bought house. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and care of the customer. They were able to identify the cause of the problem with our underfloor heating and suggested a path forward for resolution. Niall is fantastic. We had a heating emergency on a Friday night. He walked through over the phone how to check the problem. He ordered a part overnight and came the next day to fix it and even help adjust and explain some things about our heating system. He was very calm, honest (rare these days), helpful and knowledgeable. We highly recommend him.

If you are looking for a professional, prompt and value for money plumber then Nialls the man to call. It's sad to say that most'professionals' today don't even pick up the phone or return calls let alone do a good job, however Niall has given me faith in tradesmen again. My boiler stopped working, leaving me without hot water at home. I contacted Niall, who promptly diagnosed the problem and determined that a part needed to be replaced. This is our nearest National Trust place to visit. My wife and I normally combine a walk with a visit to the gardens, there are some lovely local walks close by. There is a car parking fee of £4. The gardens are well maintained, though some infrastructure parts have been neglected for a while. For example I’ve not seen the small routed water stream that crosses the path, after the dragons, running for some years. And part of the garden wall has been down for a while- perhaps that is becoming a feature. But overall it’s a lovely garden with several different paths around. There is a cafe offering food and drinks that is popular. They also have a gift shop and sell some plants. I didn’t see it this last visit, but previously I have also seen afternoon -tea bookings on offer in the Greenhouse.

Just gardens, you have to pay for parking £4 as privately owned but National Trust members entrance only is free. Pleasant gardens, Lake and tea room. We were a little disappointed though as we were there less than a hour as not much to see.

Hidden gem! The gardens are a real treat for the eyes with all the vibrant flowers and intricate designs. The tea room was a nice touch too, serving up some delicious cakes. Perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon stroll. The staff was friendly, and parking was a breeze

Beautiful gardens, especially as we visited in October and there were still plenty of flowers in bloom. We spent around 2hrs here including getting a coffee. I think you could spend longer in the summer as there would be more to look at. Winding paths direct you through the gardens and there was a sculpture exhibition with some interesting pieces.
