Climpson and Sons is a small coffee shop with selling some high quality coffee and pastries. I had their filter brew batch of the day, which was from Colombia and had a nutty flavor. Note there are no chair to sit on, it’s more of a grab and go place. Staff was also friendly.

Great daily coffee, delicious, tasty and rich and perfectly priced at the same time. Staff are friendly and welcoming. What a fantastic establishment. Cafes that are charging £3.90 for a cappuccino - take notes.

Spacious place with a lovely atmosphere (it is a pretty venue with nice chandeliers and delicate lighting). Staff is friendly but not the most efficient (3 stars on that). I had the Mexican burrito, an oat late and an orange juice. The food was delicious, though I was disappointed about the orange juice as it was not natural at all (too artificial).

Nice interiors and decorations with plenty of spaces to sit inside and outside. Love the part with all the chandeliers, plants and sculptures. Diverse menu with plenty of options in reasonable prices. We went for pizza which was made to perfection about £12 on average. We did not wait long for our food although it was busy. Toilets are clean and sanitary pads provided in the ladies’ room. A lot of attention to small details which you don’t expect when you visit such a busy place. Staff were nice too. So all in all, worth coming back.

It was quite busy when we visited during the summer weekends. Regardless, we were still able to find a table indoors. The design of the place is absolutely stunning—it does feel like a market (hence the name) but with a more sophisticated twist (if that makes sense!). We had pizza during our visit, but I assume there are other food options available besides Italian. It’s a lovely spot to visit with friends, socialise, and soak in the great vibes.

Beautiful unique place in the heart of Hackney. Their Sunday Roast is very very reasonably priced, high quality, portions are big and tastes amazing. The people that worked there all gave us a warm smile and does not look rushed despite it being full.

I read the reviews before going here, many of which were poor so I was hesitant. However, I’m glad I gave it a go because the service we experienced was great; all staff were very welcoming, friendly & attentive. My Korean chickens wings and pizza were delicious. Every aspect of the pizza was perfectly flavourful, including the lovely tomato sauce for the base, and the dough was light, fluffy and thin on the base. My partner also liked the chicken wings and gave a 7/10 for the lobster roll. Neither of us liked the cocktails. The strawberry daiquiri was really bitter/soapy & the rhubarb fix lacked flavour. Loved the chandeliers. We ate in the restaurant section because it was quieter and had table service.

Unparalleled service. My partner has an allergy to seafood and they made provisions for her to enjoy some of the dishes on her birthday. The staff were super lovely and friendly and chucked in a complementary sorbet and candle to boot. Executed to perfection. Highly recommend.

I turned up at this place with no reservation on a Sunday and was accommodated in no time the the lovely lady at the door. They have very polite and nice staff. The drinks menu had an extensive choice of beverages and good selection of wine. The food was delicious, the beef with chips had a delicious peppercorn sauce. The bread and butter pudding was very tasty!

This was my second time here and this time we came for Saturday lunch. Between the two of us, we shared the crab risotto (good flavour), onglet with chips and peppercorn sauce (beef was cooked well and the sauce was delicious) and the pork chop with borlotti, grilled and green sauce (the pork was a bit dry). The service was super friendly and attentive.

We had a delicious brunch outside with a very relaxing vibe, and the employees were kind and helpful. Highly recommend the ricotta pancakes with cream. The online menu you get out of the table QR code doesn’t show all of the options e.g coffee so it’s better to request for a waiter.

Really spacious, colourful and light-filled space creating a nice and relaxed atmosphere. My soy decaf capuccino was good but the star of the show was the 'pommes anna'. The yolk of the fried egg was the perfect texture, the potato slices were crunchy and made for the perfect bite paired with the guanciale, crispy sage and nduja. Loved the design of this fairly spacious restaurant and the Lanterna Deli that is situated downstairs to the rear of the restaurant. The restaurant also has outdoor seating and tables. I purchased early morning coffees and pastries, which were delicious. There was a good variety of deli produce and refreshments available. Staff were friendly, and the service was excellent. Depending on the time of my next visit, I will definitely stop by here again for breakfast, lunch, or an evening meal.

We dropped by for a bite it's good to find somewhere with outside sitting. The pizza where great my colleague ordered a vegan pesto not sure if he got the right pizza but except that the dog got a bowl of water he very much appreciated that. The price where correct the food good the service fast. We will return.

My friends and I came here for pizza making as part of birthday plans. We had super fun and the pizzas tasted pretty good too. The only mention for me is that for £28 I didn't feel like we received that much of a pizza experience e.g. the dough is already made (I am sure there is a practical reasons for this, but this should be reflected in the price). Had the experience been around £22/23 i would probably say it is worth it but as you don't get the whole pizza making experience i feel the price is too steep. Needless to say however that the staff are very helpful and friendly!

I've had the pizza many times for delivery and thought it was excellent. Unsurprisingly, in person it's even better. Lovely pizzas that hit what you're looking for, lots of different types too. Service was friendly and attentive. The Negronis we had were nice and refreshing alongside the pizza. (Plus 2-for-1 on this day which is always a nice bonus)

Best Pizza in town! 😍 It was absolutely delicous! We had the fior di latte Focaccia as a start in it was indeed very good. For the Main course we went with Crudo e Rucola Pizza and Diavola Pizza - wow! From crust to Sauce, everything tasted superb! Our waitress Greta was a delight and very very nice. 100% recommend!

Was looking for something different for my partner's birthday. Loved it. Quirky location, great atmosphere, fantastic food and fast and friendly service. Loved the cocktails, oysters and fish specials of the day. Everything is well put together and sticks to the theme. Great vibe and music too. We'll be back. Only small thing to improve could be catering to special bookings. I stated in my reservation that it's my partner's birthday. Of course not mandatory at all but it's always nice when places add that tiny bit of extra for the special occasion. Could be a small desert with a candle. Just as a cherry on top.

We dined tonight for the new menu all I can say is my taste buds are summersaulting! The flavours and combinations are amazing and definitely worth a try. I would recommend going for a collab of small plates and a main to top it off with a vermouth to finish! Thanks team Barge East!

I was invited there for dinner by my sister and her partner. To be honest, at first I was kind of sceptical about what kind of a place it is since it looks a bit deserted outside. However, it turned out to be a total surprise for me in the end. I was amazed by the taste of all the dishes I ordered (focaccia with a mushroom butter, pumpkin soup and Angus ox cheeks as starters; fried aubergine with crispy lettuce touches and the onglet steak with the delicious sauce 😋). I would have had a dessert afterwards but sadly we didn’t have much time for that because we had to catch the basketball game in the end. All in all, it was a great experience with excellent & quick service by experienced staff in this small boat! ⛴️

The other day, I had dinner with friends at Barge East. When I first arrived in the evening, I thought the place was closed or empty. But as soon as I stepped inside, I was blown away by the ambiance they had created on the boat. The lights and candles set such a cozy, magical atmosphere that we instantly fell in love with it. I was especially happy to find draft beer on such a small boat. Every dish we tried was amazing, with each bite offering a different burst of flavor. We started with focaccia, which came with a mushroom butter that was absolutely delicious. The pumpkin soup was incredible, and the Angus ox cheeks we had as a starter were outstanding. For the mains, the aubergine was a flavor explosion! However, the onglet steak had a slight odor that I found off-putting—though it might just be because I’m quite sensitive to it. Other than that, everything was perfect. The service was excellent, and the staff made the experience even more enjoyable. They are doing an amazing job on this small boat—truly impressive!

Our second visit for a Sunday Roast and the food was incredible. The truffle cauliflower cheese is a little pricey as it’s a large portion (more than enough for 3 people). If they could also offer a smaller option for one that would be amazing! Staff are fantastic and the boat is really cosy on a cold winter day.

Sesta was promising and has a lot of potential! The food was innovative and the starters/small bites were 10/10!! The nduja stuffed olives and the cheddar scones are a must, and the pesto garlic babka was a highlight! 🤩 The menu lost us a bit on the bigger plates but there are still some gems there like the chicken leg. The Cornish turbot was a bit disappointing but the desserts made up for it. Definitely get the savory pastel de nata! 😋

What a great find! Fantastic tasting style menu where you can choose each course. The cooking is inventive and exciting. Some of the best food we've eaten in London. The wine list is great with several natural wines and the service was perfect.. relaxed, no fuss but attentive at the same time.

We had an excellent meal in this new addition to the are. I had the trecolore, the poached egg was done to perfection and love having spinach as well as smoke salmon at the same time! There is a promotional deal on so we were compelled to try the dessert and we were not disappointed. I thought the croissant pudding was an absolute delight. Would love to return and try the other dishes.
