“What a place 👏🏻👏🏻such history attached, so many stories to share. Debbie, the owner of this establishment has put her heart & soul into the place. Her family all play a part, her grandson is the chef, her son bakes the best scones. She has a sign inside ‘enter as strangers & leave as friends’ it truly lives up to it! Such a delight, fine china used daily…I hope it remains as a tea house 🫖 for another 102 years. Highly recommend a visit & a meal….or just a cup of hot tea ☕️ best Dorset Apple cake ever & served with a dollop of clotted cream 👌🏻”

“I love this little place that has a larger personality especially around the holidays, nice food, nice helpful staff, and full of friendlyness. It gets bigger and louder during the holidays and summer months when it opens the play area and the maize maze. Lovely for families and children. I have to say it pleases my heart to see this place set up for children's outside play, they certainly keep you on your toes, even when you are not part of that group or party, it has a little downside life everywhere when is busy hearing can be an issue even when sat face to face, so if you're expecting a wee cuppa or coffee or lunch in peace or relative quite here, you honestly won't know until you get there. It's just lovely hearing the children and youths being a play outside and not attached to their phones or computers.”

“Food is well priced and there’s a great selection to choose from. Portion consistency varies depending on who’s working. Quality consistent though. Example, bought the wife the Brie and bacon panini six weeks or so ago was packed with Brie and bacon she liked it so much that she asked for it this time. It was a little skinny, let’s say, but still tasty!”

“Truly stunning place to while away the hours. Whether you want to sit and relax and take in the scenery, or wonder around the grounds. Better yet, you can feed yourself at the lovely tea rooms, and indulge in a little bit of retail therapy at the great gift shop. Superb place. Even better when it's lit up during the winter! (January & Feb)”

“A charming café set inside a garden center, had a full English breakfast which was delicious, the tomatoes and mushrooms were fresh and I recommend adding the black pudding for £1.
