We have used Barry and his team for many years covering all aspects of property maintenance at our business premises in Welwyn Garden City. Most recently we have updated the office area which required the construction of an office along with a full redecorate and carpet. The jewel in the crown, however, is the new kitchen area which was installed to the highest of standards and looks tremendous - Barry was instrumental in the design. Thoroughly recommended.

Barry and his Team were fantastic. I had work to do in a house and he gave reasonable quotes, did a really professional job and gave ideas as well. I started off just wanting a few things done but as I could see the quality in the work I gave more and more stuff for them to do. They could do all the building and plumbing work that I asked of. They were very prompt and courteous too. If on a few of the small items I wasn't entirely happy, they rectified it without complaint or excuses. On one occasion, they boxed in some radiator pipes, but then I needed to replace a radiator in the same area. They unboxed it, and had to recut wood to make it fit round larger radiator and didn't charge me. I wouldn't hesitate to ask them again and will be doing for another place, in addition to recommending them to others.

Fantastic new driveway and front garden. I used Lemsford Building November 2020 to dig out my old drive and lay a new driveway, plus also remodel and re-turf my front garden. Matt was great at answering my questions, keeping me updated on progress and the guys that work for him did a great job and were very hard-working, tidy and helpful. Highly recommended and the second time I have used Lemsford Building, would use in the future and would definitely recommend them.

We engaged Lemsford Building to rectify issues left outstanding when the builder on our extension and renovation project went bust before completing. Having been burnt by our previous experience we were struggling to find a local builder to use but Lemsford were recommended by some friends who had recently had an extension built by them and said they wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them - we couldn't get a better recommendation that that! There were three main areas that we needed rectifying - plumbing, a wrongly-installed pocket door (which involved taking the wall apart to replace it) and decorating touch-ups. All of the issues were resolved within the time estimates provided and to we are really pleased with the results - aside from everything now being complete you couldn't tell that the work was done 18 months after the original work. Everyone engaged by Matt was highly professional and respected our home (which is more than could be said for our previous builders!). Our neighbours even made the effort to point out how nice everyone was - again in contrast to our previous builders) Little bits that made a big difference: - at the end of each day everyone made an effort to tidy up after themselves - vacuuming, wiping floors and tiding away tools etc - everyone was very personable and were a pleasure to have around - they even put up with the hundreds of questions from our young kids and those of our neighbours - they respected our home - little things like removing their shoes on the carpets and putting down protection for solid floors through to how the work was planned - to us this was really important as we were living in the house at the time and wanted to minimise the disruption experienced. - the team all seemed to have worked for the company for a long time and all demonstrated the company values that Matt talked about in our early conversations - attention to detail - they did the job properly and didn't cut corners, leaving us with a finish that we are proud of We wouldn't hesitate to use Matt and the team at Lemsford Building again and would highly recommend them to others.
