One of the best dining experience. Loved every single dish. Well balanced flavours from start to finish. Good portions too. Excellent service from Tony (chef) and Deb (wife). Unique dining experience unlike other establishments- you’re actually sat in a long table with other guests. You can bring your own booze/ drinks as they don’t have a drinks menu. But they do offer coffee/ tea with our last course- petit fours (chocolate made in-house by the chef). There is a shop just around the corner that sells liquor- so you can easily get them before your meal.

I feel so lucky to have experienced the magic of the Gourmet Food Kitchen in Fargo Village, Coventry. My visit in March was a belated birthday treat, and what an unforgettable gift it turned out to be! This intimate dining experience is truly one-of-a-kind, and it’s incredible to think such a culinary gem is right here in the heart of our city. The restaurant is the brainchild of Tony Davies, a local chef with a world-class pedigree, having worked in some of the best kitchens across Europe. Now settled in Fargo Village, Tony has created a unique and personal dining space where just 12 lucky guests share a chef’s table experience (bring your own alcohol— helps the wallet!). It’s an up-close and personal way to enjoy Tony’s passion for food. What made the evening even more special for me was Tony’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail. I have food allergies, which can sometimes make eating out a little daunting, but Tony took the time to accommodate my needs without compromising on flavor or the experience. It was clear he genuinely cares about his guests and wants everyone to enjoy the meal to its fullest. The tasting menu we enjoyed that evening was absolutely stunning. From the creamy Celeriac Veloute paired with Lincolnshire Poacher Rarebit to the tender Duck Breast with Cherry Sauce and the most divine White Chocolate and Vanilla Cheesecake paired with a tangy rhubarb sorbet, every bite was a revelation. Tony’s creativity and expertise shone through in every dish, blending flavors with confidence and flair. One of the most refreshing aspects of the evening was how relaxed and welcoming the atmosphere was. It’s rare to find fine dining that doesn’t feel intimidating, but Tony’s passion for great food comes through in such an honest, friendly way. Being able to watch him work and hear a little about the dishes made it all feel even more special—like you’re part of something unique. Coventry is so lucky to have Gourmet Food Kitchen. It’s a truly exceptional dining experience that rivals any top restaurant, yet it’s grounded in a way that makes you feel completely at home. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just looking for a dining adventure, this is the place to go.

Fabulous evening at Coventrys Gourmet Food Kitchen with Chef Tony & his wife Debs. It's a tasting menu with a maximum of 12 people sat a one large table. You get to chat with the other guests & with the hosts as the restaurant is lovely & intimate - like being invited to a dinner party, where you have a view of the kitchen. Bring your own booze as it's not able to provide bar facilities. This is great, as it keeps down the cost & you know you are going to enjoy the drinks - you brought them! Glasses, bottle opener & water are provided. Now to the food, each dish was delicious but I'll let the photos do most of the talking. So many processes & so much work goes into each one. As an example, the Home smoked Duck- smoked in a aged oak whisky barrel. The Duck croquettes- Confit leg of Duck with a Duck reduction. Portion sizes are generous for fine dining but luckily my son was there to help out as my appetite couldn't finish every dish. When it came to the dessert - sublime Lemon tart, with just the right amount of sharp to sweet for me, I had to concede & took home some of the Lemon tart with the Honey Tuelle & the petite fours. Far to scrumptious to let my son have, besides, he was pretty full by then too. This was my 2nd visit & I will definitely return again for the fine dining. Haven't tried the other menu's - Such as Breakfast & Fish & Chips but fully intend too.

Excellent service. Called them at just gone 8am with an emergency electrical problem. They had someone at the house within 35 mins, and the problem fixed an hour later. Very reasonable price considering the short notice too.

Ben came to install a new consumer unit to bring my electrics up to the latest regulations and did a marvellous job. The install is very clean and tidy and the after sales support has been fantastic. I highly recommend this company.

Have had a complete kitchen refit, only small and taken twice as long as it should but Switched-On were completely on the ball, very ready to jump in at each stage required, quite a few visits. Adapted well to any problems found and still stuck to original quote from 3 months ago. Thanks to Paul and team with special mention for Ben.

This is one of my most favourite coffee places in Coventry. Really nice laid back atmosphere friendly staff, great coffee & breakfast tea and a nice range of cakes and sandwiches, panini's. I love the vegan sandwiches even though I'm not a vegan.I pop in at least once or twice a week.

‏Bean & Leaf Coffee is a café with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and always greet customers with a smile, making you feel truly valued. They have a nice seating area downstairs, and the restroom is clean and well-maintained. ‏The food is delicious, my faviorte was the cheese bread and blueberry pie, made with real butter, being particular standouts. The V60 coffee has a distinctive flavor, and when you order English tea, they serve it in a generously sized pot. ‏I will definitely be returning to Bean & Leaf Coffee whenever I’m in Coventry. Lovely independent coffee shop in Coventry city centre, first time visiting and won't be the last now I've discovered it! Had the chai latte which was lovely (but after reading the reviews wish I'd tried the coffee - next time!) Also had the chocolate banana loaf which was delicious but maybe a tad on the expensive side? The place is small but cute and full of atmosphere, they have seating downstairs it seemed like also.

Officially THE best coffee house in Coventry!.. This beats my favourite, Tim Hortons! Such welcoming staff and the highlight.. The silkiest flat white I have ever had in my life, the cinnamon loaf rocked too! Will definitely be visiting again ! LOVE xo

Brandon recently upgraded the old consumer unit at our house and completed a new EICR alongside. I cannot praise Brandon enough for his professionalism and high quality finish. The work had been of outstanding quality and I very much appreciate how he keeps you updated throughout the day. Highly recommended and I will certainly be using him again for future works.

Steve came out as an emergency on a late winter evening and within minutes had secured a temporary fix. He returned less than 2 days later on a Saturday to renew an ancient consumer unit. We wanted to use a local electrician and found Colin, Ray of Light via his excellent on line reviews. Having purchased an older property in need of considerable renovation we were totally reliant on finding a knowledgeable, experienced electrician who was able to tackle a full rewire and make the house both safe and up to date. Colin provided an excellent service from start to finish which included an initial review followed by a comprehensive quotation before the works started. Colin completed a full rewire of the house which included a new consumer box, lithium optical mains powered smoke alarms, sockets, pendants, cooker installation, hob ignition and towel rail. Work also included the installation of a smaller consumer unit in the garage along with the installation of lighting, internal and external sockets. Colin is extremely professional, this was a large job and all the work he carried out for us has been to a consistently high standard. He only installs a top of the range electrical equipment, which other tradesmen have noticed and commented on. The quality of his work is of the highest standard, he is meticulous, tidy, courteous and above all I am in no doubt he has left us with a safe, compliant and much improved house. I would not hesitate to recommend Colin to anyone and would not think twice about asking him to work for us again in the future.

This is some of the best food in Coventry! We had a lovely time at this family run cafe and would recommend it to anyone who wants to support a very reasonably priced small business. You may have to wait for a table but the food is worth the wait. Staff are lovely too thank you Lucas and Bonnie!

New place only just opened up , highly recommend , the service was absolutely brilliant and the food is to die for , the sushi platter was so good we had to take some home 😋 the value for money is absolutely on point , really affordable, would recommend for big parties aswell as they’ve got private rooms big enough to accommodate birthday parties or any other celebration. Stopped here for dinner before a gig at the Library. Food was absolutely superb; we had a couple of sushi platters and a bento box; all delicious. Attentive service, and the restaurant itself will be lovely when they’ve finished decorating.
