“Excellent coffee from the van by the beach (Saltern's car park). Very friendly staff, excellent views and did I mention...”

This is an amazing little coffee van! I was really impressed with how much choice they had -- they did a full range of coffees and teas, complete with flavoured syrups and a selection of non-dairy milks, which is far more than you'd expect from a little van. The service was fantastic, the staff were friendly, and the price was pretty much on par with anywhere else (certainly no worse than most big chains). They had a modest selection of cookies and cakes too, as well as soft drinks like Fruit Shoots, again at reasonable prices. To top it all off, their coffee was fantastic. I had a mocha, and it was one of the best I'd had in a long time, and exactly what I needed on a windy spring day. If you're down this part of the beach, I would wholeheartedly recommend stopping by!

We would like to thank Tom for the delicious Mocha and Hot chocolate drinks along with the shortbread large biscuits. Also for treating GUNNAR the white golden retriever who got in line to obtain a dog biscuits from Tom. We were only on this coastline for a 2 week stay but look forward to returning and to visit This coffee station again. Big thank you Tom. 😊

Just loved it. The food was exactly as we expected and was delicious. Highly recommend the katsu curry - Kumo does a proper japanese katsu and not the knockoff western katsu other places do. The staff were attentive, kind and pleasant. My go-to restaurant in Fareham

I’m so glad we chose to eat here - everything we had was absolutely delicious! There’s a great range of food on the menu, it was hard to choose! We ordered the takoyaki which was amazing, the sushi sharing platter B which was also great and a lovely amount to share for two people and then finished with the passion fruit and mango mochi and red bean dorayaki. The service was lovely and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. I haven’t had good sushi around Fareham before so this restaurant is lovely to have here - will definitely be back!

5-Star Review for Kumu Japanese Restaurant, Fareham, Hampshire I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kumu Japanese Restaurant in Fareham , and I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment we walked in, the staff stood out with their exceptional friendliness and efficiency. They made us feel welcome and taken care of, which really enhanced the overall dining experience. The food itself was absolutely superb, with every dish served fresh and piping hot. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite – each dish was both delicious and beautifully presented. What also impressed me was the timely service; we never had to wait long, and everything came out in perfect order. With Antonio’s in Fareham and now this exceptional Japanese restaurant, this end of town has truly become the place to go for fine dining. If you’re seeking top-notch cuisine, friendly staff, and impeccable service, Kumu is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

OMG what an amazing place!! I cannot believe we have only just found out about it! It's way bigger inside than what it appears to be. They have several rooms, even a tea (ceremony?) room one can hire for a party or a special occasion. All beautifully decorated! Their menu has lots of things to choose from. We went for a selection of maki ( Volcano and Dragon rolls) and Salmon hosomaki. All turned out to be absolutely delicious and were gone in under few minutes - no crumbs left behind! 😋 If you are looking for Japanese food - look no further!! I know, I'm definitely coming back for more!!

“Charming Thai Delight - A Hidden Gem! If you’re looking for a cozy, welcoming spot that offers authentic Thai flavours,...”
Rating: 5 / 5
Freshly cooked beautiful food, ok so you will pay a bit extra but who cares if you are getting obviously fresh cooked food. Yes there are cheaper Thai places around but Pattaya cooks from fresh and it shows. The Manager is warm friendly and welcoming and I would recommend this to EVERYONE. If you haven’t been before and you like Thai food you MuST give this a try. Park for free in Fareham car park after 6pm and a very short walk to the restaurant which is spotlessly clean and once again I say the food is DELICIOUS!!!! One thing I would say is that the drinks are a little pricey and lowering the cost of these a little may appeal to more customers but it didn’t really bother me. My wife and I left happy, full and will definitely return!!!! If I could give it ten stars I would!!!

We went for a quick meal, spur of the moment job. The food was lovely and freshly cooked. Service was faultless and friendly. Loved the Green papaya salad, (you don't get ones this good these days) and the waitress was attentive and charming without being overwhelming. All in all definitely worth a visit when you are in town or a tactical diversion to experience good Thia cuisine

Fabulous location, historic building, phenomenal food. Enough said. The vitello al fungi was exquisite, the pork belly was unctious, melted in your mouth. Big portions, good value for money. Loved it.

This place is always awesome, whenever I come in for a meal, whether it's a special occasion or not. Staff are authentic, polite , pleasing, attentive without being on top of you. The food is excellent, I'm afraid stuffed as is everyone else, rarely get to desert but others do. Wine list is amazing, only as some Italian wines are not always tasteful, the montepulciano red was deep, cherry back end which worked well. It was Sunday so they did a Sunday roast if you want it too. Compliments all round

Glad to see it's still going. Lovely lunch today. Would just ask the lady with the dark hair please speak more slowly when going through things, us and the other table struggled with grasping everything as it was reeoed off so quickly!! Lovely place and we will be back :)

This place has got its unique and cozy character, very attentive service and delicious food! They do amazing cakes, sandwich platters and lush hot drinks! Portions are of a very good size too! I highly recommend it!!

I booked a table for my sisters surprise 50th birthday. I thought that I had booked for a hightea but I made the mistake by not mentioning it to the lady over the phone . We weren't disappointed anyway as the food and the atmosphere is wonderful . They make you feel welcome when you arrive and there is plenty to choose from . I will definitely return to eat and have a drink , maybe call them before to book for a hightea .

Haven't been here for a few years, was pleased today at the options of non-dairy milks. Have to say it was the best latte I think I've ever had 😋 Lovely staff, great atmosphere. Great to see fishless finger sandwich now and option and there are other choices if you dont have allergies 🤪😊 Will happily be returning

We visited here for cream tea. What a delight! We were seated promptly and at a big table too for 3 of us. No table service but after ordering they were super quick with the delivery of the items. Lovely atmosphere, nice staff and very clean! (You could smell how clean it was) Will be visiting again!

First visit to this lovely area after a walk in and around the Meon shore. Had a breakfast, first class ingredients in an attentive comfortable environment. Restaurant is split into areas, dog friendly in the front part. I thought it was good value for the quality of the food. Breakfast menu until 11.30 I think but a good varied menu otherwise. Will definitely return. Car parking at rear, said it was for the boozer opposite but don’t think it’s particularly monitored, otherwise on street parking too.

A cosy and surprisingly large 2-story cafe with lots of outside seating for the warm weather. Parking on the streets nearby. Generously proportioned sandwiches come with a really tasty salad. One bowl of pwefect chips as a side did the three of us. Too full to have cake but they looked nice. Fully dog friendly. Staff are friendly and helpful and service was very prompt.

Been here a couple of times now thanks to family buying us gift vouchers. Serving breakfast and lunch by the water, the Salt Cafe in Portchester is a real hidden gem. Good size breakfast, with vegetarian and vegan options, excellent coffee and a takeaway brownie to die for. Plenty of reserved parking around the Marina but do book as can get busy most mornings. Oh and it's dog friendly inside and out.

A unique restaurant as it was a bit hidden. My son loves it and he wanted to come back next time. Food is very nice and affordable. Staffs are very helpful and approchable.

Quirky cafe in an unusual location, I wasn’t sure what to expect as I was walking across the wooden pathway, but we were greeted with a very warm welcome and comfortable lively atmosphere. The coffee’s came quickly and the breakfasts followed to a very high standard. Also the views are stunning.

Came in with my partner and sister for a lovely breakfast. A little wait, but it was busy so the view definitely made up for it. Really friendly staff and have been before, and will be going back again. The parking can be a bit of a nightmare at times, but I don’t believe this is down to the cafes fault.
