As a very nervous dental patient, I cannot recommend Black Swan more highly. I am currently undergoing a course of treatment with Dooha who is not only exceptionally knowledgeable but also exceptionally understanding and human. I’ve been totally put at ease and feel genuinely cared for by the entire team. The reception staff are second to none, and play such a vital role in the whole experience. I wouldn’t go anywhere else (it also helps that it also feels like you’re stepping into a 5* hotel when you enter the building!)

In my four years of attending Black Swan I've always received exceptional care, but my last visit to see my lovely hygienist, Donna, deserves a special mention. She is absolutely first class at what she does, which is reflected in the visible and measurable improvement to my gums, and she is gentle and caring. I have been a patient at Black Swan for several years and have found every part of the service to be exemplary from the Reception staff through to the Hygienists and Dentists. I recently had extensive and difficult work done to correct a problem and Ahmad was so understanding and spent considerable time and effort ensuring that I was happy with the result. I cannot imagine any of my previous dentists taking this amount of trouble. I feel confident in knowing that Ahmad and his team will always strive to choose the best treatment I need.

Have been with Black Swan for at least 12 years. It can’t be often that people say they enjoy going to the dentist but I do. The team is welcoming and supportive. Procedures are clearly explained and why one needs them likewise. I can’t praise the whole team enough.

Yup, the good reviews are on point. Gavin & his team did a full rewire of my house, and every aspect of working with him was A1. Starting with a detailed and fair quote; he made great suggestions that I hadn't thought of; the works, and communications were done well and on time; he was flexible to changes in my plans....generally speaking, he has a great attitude, so all-in-all I could relax and trust that the job was in good hands.

I have used Gavin and his team for some outside lighting installation on an Aircraft Hangar at Bournemouth Airport which I am very satisfied with. Alain and the team were amazing. Although the word amazing is not a word I would usually associate with a visit to the dentist, his compassionate and professional manner put me at ease and enabled me to remain calm and relaxed. Moreover, the whole team a Crewkerne are a credit to dentistry in general. Good luck trying to find a better group of humans to help in your hour of need! My sincere thanks to everyone. And although I can’t honestly say I’m looking forward to my next appointment, I’m not filled with dread and anxiety when I think about returning in the future!

Used Topsparks multiple times. Telephone always answered quickly. Plumber always sent next day if urgent. Plumber always shows up on time and stays to complete the job whether it is 2 hours or 8 hours. Mike and his apprentice are outstanding and did a thorough job and worked really hard. The whole team at Topsparks is ‘user-friendly’. They are very considerate towards my 94-year old father and his needs and provided full technical explanations. Good value and reasonable pricing. Plumber was re-sent on one occasion when further work needed and I was not charged. My thanks to Karen, Aran, Mike and Tim.

I had a dental emergency so called Simon Wood at Lumley and Wood to arrange an appointment. I was expecting a wait as the surgery had only just re opened but I was delighted to get an appointment within an hour or two of the call. The surgery was running a very efficient system with questions relating to COVID-19 both before and on arrival. My temperature was checked and hand sanitizer was provided. The surgery entrance was only opened for booked patients. I felt very safe in the surgery environment as the staff were wearing PPE with my dentist using a visor and a mask in addition to the usual measures. Extra equipment had been installed to extract the circulating air after every patient and cleaning of surfaces and longer gaps between patients were organised. An excellent service, as always, in what felt like a very safe environment.

I had an accident a while back losing a couple of my front teeth. I went to Simon after being recommended by a friend. The treatment I’ve had from saving damaged teeth to recently fitting me with my amazing new replacements has been exemplary. Simon and his team are just brilliant and wanted the best outcome for me from the start, all the options were explained throughly allowing me to make an informed decision. I have been considering creating an en suite shower room and effecting some external works at my property but was somewhat daunted by managing a project. Joe Newton Electrical, Plumbing and Heating Services and James Newsam Construction were recommended by neighbours. Joe and James, who often work in collaboration, came to assess what was required and quote a week after contact. Options were discussed, sensible advice given and a detailed quote and anticipated start date followed shortly thereafter. The Project commenced on the agreed start date with a team of professional, pleasant, experienced, local trades arriving one after the other! all were well-briefed, hard working and consulted me in relation to any decisions (style of doors, placement of switches etc) as necessary. The ethos and importance of "Customer Satisfaction" was obvious throughout. Any queries I had were responded to by Joe or James, usually within the hour. Joe managed the sequence of events entirely for all the electrical and plumbing work, which was completed to a very high standard. I am delighted with my new En Suite Shower Room, it is spacious, practical and stylish and will doubtless add value to my property. I have no hesitation in recommending Joe Newton Electrical, Plumbing and Heating, who I will definitely use again. PS the final Invoice was exactly as quote and I literally could not fault any part of the service I received.

Joe and his colleagues did the electrical work and plumbing on our houses renovation. The electrical work carried out (mainly) by Aaron and his trusty assistant Billy is superb. Aaron is extremely methodical in his approach and it shows with the end result. We also had a mini wet room built. The end result is stunning. The tiling and the tanking beneath the tiling was done to an extremely high standard. The tiler Steve is a lovely chap and again, extremely methodical in his approach. Towards the end of the project the final bits of plumbing were completed by plumber Aaron and John. Again the work was to a high standard and it was a pleasure having them in our home. We would definitely recommend using Joe and his team and we will be next spring for the other bathroom to be renovated. Thanks Joe and team. Andy and Lisa. Also I think it’s wonderful that Joe takes on apprentices, to train the next generation of electricians.

I’m not one who tends to write reviews but after my first check up today I felt like I wanted to. This is for other people out there who have had their NHS practice closed and now can’t get a NHS dentist and are reluctant to go private. I understand how you feel, I work part time and am at college and finances are tough enough. Yet I found myself admitting defeat and looking for a dentist, I like to have yearly check ups and was getting anxious it had been too long (I’m on the NHS waiting listing for a wisdom tooth removal and wanted to check that I was fine waiting). A College friend told me how she had an emergency appointment here and how great they were. She had ended up joining them and told me they were taking on new private patients. My parents and I have now joined and have all been happy with the process. I particular like, how above you there is a computer screen, you can see the dental nurse inputting data as it’s called out. So yes, the check up is a quick process but you can see all the info being inputted and that you’re getting a full check up. He also checked my gums for bleeding. This is only my first check up but for now, I’m comfortable that my dental health is in good hands and that any work recommended, is in my best interest and not for them to make a quick buck. So for now in this NHS dental desert, I am happy to be on their books.

Whilst I was away on holiday I rang Ricky Stubbs (owner/ partner) he not only arranged the work to be done, he was there unbelievably quick and turned up when he said and completed the work to an excellent standard. The client even told me of her gratitude and was very glad to have the issues sorted so promptly. I will be using Chris Stubbs and son again for sure. Very reliable and friendly.

An absolutely outstanding service from Chris and his two electricians. They worked on our house when we were away completing the tasks in the time that was arranged. How they managed to run wires/cables on coving and behind skirting boards was a marvel. They put all the furniture back in its place and left us with no mess to tidy up. We were expecting to have to plaster and decorate however this was not necessary. The two electricians who carried out the job even looked after our cat in our absence. Very highly recommended. Stubbs Electrical and Security have now done extensive works for us across multiple domestic jobs: CCTV, electrical gates, garden lights, security lights, meshed wifi, rewiring and maintenance/ call-out emergencies. During a recent storm, I had a full power outage. Ricky responded quickly and came out to fix the problem. He was professional and nothing was too much trouble despite it being late on a Saturday night. I cannot recommend him and the company enough.

Luke was fantastic. He fit an extractor fan in a really fiddly place (small attic area) and it looks like it was always there. He was friendly, polite and tidy. The pricing was entirely fair and the extractor fan works perfectly. We're new to Honiton so finding a trustworthy electrician is fantastic! Highly recommended.

We asked LAP to quote for a home EV charger after a friend recommended them. Arranging a qoute was easy and the quote itself came quickly and was competitive. Luke, who came to both quote and fit the charger was friendly and knowledgable. We are very happy with the home EV charger and would definately use LAP electrical again in the future.
