Tim and Lucy are excellent hosts and really look after you while staying. We had the shepherds huts in their big open field and all of the family really enjoyed it. Very comfy and the old silo barbecue is excellent. Wonderful to see the kids interact with the animals and just be free for a few days. Great place for a break.

We've done a lot of glamping in the UK, and found this independent site to be up there with the best. The hosts were fantastic, the accommodation extremely comfortable and the facilities among the best. Bonus points for the best outdoor hot tub we've had.

Beautiful. Lovely part of the countryside and the owners are lovely friendly people. This is not your typical b&b, there is a great atmosphere and lots of history just scattered about. They restore some amazing classic cars nearby so if your into that then you won't get bored. The location is great and central to lots of interesting places to visit around Dorset.

I manage a Lettings agency in Central Salisbury and Nick is our go-to electrician. Fairly priced, exceptional standard of work, fantastic communication and always tidies up after himself once works are completed - which can be half the struggle when trying to manage properties with various contractors. None of our Tenants or Landlords have ever had a bad word to say about Nick or his workmanship. We recommend him to all of our Landlords and I have also had Nick carry out works on my own property. 10/10 would recommend him to anyone in Salisbury and surrounding areas.

Nick has carried out a complete rewire at our home. Despite many challenges - Nick has completed the job to a very high standard and in the time specified. At all times, Nick has been friendly and approachable whilst maintaining a professional manner. Nick is friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, competitive, works tidily, arrives on time, offers great advice. His work is to a very high standard, we have used him to re wire our kitchen & install outside lights, no job is too small or big. Great to find a contractor who says they will turn up on time & do the job that is expected. You will find it hard to beat this chap on price, efficiency, workmanship. Will always use Nick as our go to electrician.

Highly recommended. A very reliable and comprehensive service with great attention to detail and with disruption minimised. Nick is excellent at communicating before, during and after the work; providing detailed quotes, confirming appointments, arrival times and also talking through options during the work that need a decision. The paperwork arrived very promptly after the work was completed.

Nick first came to us when we needed a full electrical inspection for our insurance. He provided a really good service covering everything that was required in a proactive way. We then asked him to fit a new external light. Again, he could have been more helpful and carried out a really good job. We would highly recommend him for any electrical job big or small.

SESC were an absolute pleasure to deal with. We had a burst water main that needed immediate attention. They were onsite within the hour, traced the underground leak and prevented our cafe from flooding. They advised us on what course of action was needed and the following day rerouted our mains supply which enabled the our business to reopen quickly with minimal disruption. We did a significant extension to our home and we are not people with experience with the building trade. Steve and his team were exceptional. The time they gave us to explain choices and help us figure out where they would fall on the timeline was incredibly useful (we project managed ourselves) , the were flexible with the timings as dates moved due to other trades and finishing points. The work is off a high standard and their advice on that to have and why was amazing because they knew this inside out. Would definitely go back.

My dental journey with South Coast Implant & Cosmetic Dentist has been amazing from day one. After experiencing many issues with my implants placed in a different dental surgery I found dentists who were willing to help me. David Furze and his team are incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and kind. They listened attentively to my concerns, explained all procedures and options in detail, and addressed my previous implant issues with expertise. David's positive attitude and enthusiasm made the treatment process much easier. The atmosphere at the surgery is welcoming and friendly, and I always felt comfortable and at ease. Even though I had to travel two hours for my appointments, it was well worth it.

I cannot begin to thank the team enough for their help today. My six-year-old daughter broke her teeth and they were able to rebuild them and they look as good as new. Tawf, the dentist, and Hannah, the dental nurse were incredible. They were kind, professional , caring and made my daughter feel perfectly at ease. I cannot thank them enough for what they did for my daughter. I would also like to thank the reception staff who were lovely.

Everything taste amazing! Huge selection of cakes, specialty coffees, proper pies, but also salads and lighter fare. We had the chicken, ham and leek pie with reduced red wine onion gravy, lime and blueberry and maple, pumpkin and chai cakes. But it was very difficult to choose off the menu. The atmosphere is quaint and cosy with plenty of seating and happy, warm people on staff to serve. You’d be crazy not to stop here when in Shaftesbury!

THE MOST INCREDIBLE CAKES AND DRINKS!!!!!! The atmosphere is super cute and cosy, very relaxing but the cakes and drinks are to die for!!! Definitely 100% a must visit!!!! The food looked really yummy too, next time we visit we will definitely be having lunch here too

Really lovely tiny wee place. I'monly 5'1" so was able to 'just' walk easily through the door into the downstairs area, but my taller friend had to really duck,until we sat down 😆. Perfect coffee made just the way I asked (twice.. we were in there chatting for 2hrs!)... and then we went back again for lunch! The food was awesome.

If you would like to have a delicious variety of food and desserts wrapped in a dog friendly welcoming, relaxed atmosphere topped with an amazing customer service - this is the perfect place! The also have Vegan and Gluten free options :-) We were served by Renata (the owner) , a lovely woman that definitely understands the importance of having the knowledge of the ingredients in the different dishes and the attention coffee beans needs to be able to produce the perfect cup of coffee. We highly recommend to give the King Alfred’s kitchen a visit as it’s 5* in every way!!!

I was delighted with the quality of service provided. James helped connect a new electric towel heater and install an external socket at my home. Great job, very thorough and efficient. I am new to the area and therefore a new patient to Ivy Cross Practice. I cannot praise the team highly enough. From my initial check up with Amer Nasr and his lovely dental assistant I was made to feel very comfortable and supported . They explained everything clearly and really looked after me. Then my visit to the hygienist Shula Gampala and her assistant were so thorough, kind and caring - explaining everything as she went along recommending ways to continue to look after my dental hygiene. Eve, the manager is really friendly, efficient and helpful. Over the years I have had a few dental practitioners and I can honestly say this team of people are well up there with the best dental experience I’ve had. It’s never fun visiting the dentist but they made it easy, friendly and even exchanged a few laughs. Thank you .

A very long overdue review for Geoff, Eve and the rest of the team. We’ve been seeing Geoff since we moved here a few years ago and hands down they the are the best Dental practice. The past year has been somewhat challenging for me personally and the care, attentiveness and advice they have provided has been simply above and beyond. Geoff even took the time to respond to me with advice whilst I was abroad. If you’re looking for a passionate and caring dental practice, you do not need to look any further! Geoff is the best dentist I’ve ever had !!! For someone petrified of the dentist , he has the most amazing bed side manner & so calming & gentle . I was never scared going to Geoff ! I have front crowns he done for me over 20 years ago still perfect! I would love to be a patient again once I’ve financially recovered from pandemic times !!! What can I say but Geoff and Eve are the best! Having had to arrange an emergency appointment and not ever been to the surgery before the care that was given to me was outstanding. Geoff is the best dentist I have ever had. He is so caring, explains everything so well and just makes you feel at ease from the time you walk into the treatment room. Eve makes you so relaxed from the moment you walk in the surgery door. In fact every member of staff there is just wonderful! You actually feel like you’ve known them all for years! If you have a fear of dentists, then please visit this surgery. You will be so glad you did and honestly you will want to go back! I’m just so sorry I’m leaving the area.
