As a wedding photographer, I see a lot of wedding venues and so I can say with absolute certainty that Abbey Farm is one of the very best. Completely unique and has so many beautiful spots for your wedding photos. From cornfields, to meadows to woodlands, to beautiful barns and even a 13th century church - they have the lot all in one venue. Wonderful and helpful staff are on hand whenever you need them too. Highly recommend!

We had our wedding here recently - on 5th November 2024. The day was beautiful, everything we could have wished for and more. Millie & Jo you went above and beyond and ensured our day went without fault. The venue was perfect in every single way. I want to get married all over again 🫶. Thank you so much for everything & Mille my Niece is still telling everyone about ‘her friend Millie’ 💛. Would recommend 100% 😘

Our daughter got married in June 2024 and we were very fortunate to have been recommended Jess by Kate from our marquee company (Special Event Tipis and Marquees). We had got quite far along the DIY planning route when I realised as MOB that I wanted to be able to enjoy the wedding day and the build up to it without being overwhelmed with everything. My husband was quite sceptical at first about why we needed a coordinator as we had everything booked. This was mainly because he hadn't quite grasped what was involved, but after meeting Jess he was onboard 110% and he, like the rest of us, thinks she is fantastic and money well spent. We engaged Jess for her 'on the day management' but this is truly much, much more than just 'on the day' management and is an absolute MUST if you are having a marquee wedding. She is an experienced professional who has a very calm approach to everything. She stepped in 6 weeks before the wedding and from then on we knew we were in safe hands. She gave us much needed advice on a whole host of things and made everything run smoothly. She expertly coordinated with all our suppliers - of which there were many and all of whom were brilliant! She and her team (hello & thank you to the other Jesses) came the day before the wedding and set up the marquee. We went along to give a hand, but she had everything covered. She even had a kettle & made us all a cuppa! They came to the church rehearsal and then went back to the marquee to continue with the set up which enabled me able to spend time with my daughter and our family and friends, stress free, the night before the wedding, which is something which I would not have been able to do without her being onboard. Unfortunately, the weather on the day wasn't great . After glorious sunshine the day before, in true Lake District style, it rained on the day. We were so confident and comfortable with Jess's advice that we trusted her to her to make the last minute decision if the drinks reception would be inside or outside. She, together with Fran from Holker Hall, managed this beautifully and our guests have said that they were quite pleased it rained as it enabled them to have a look around the beautiful Holker Hall. Jess and her team were very professional and at the same time warm and friendly and it genuinely comes across how much they love their work. We had the most fantastic & fun wedding party and all our guests have said that this was the best wedding they have ever been to. I do believe we had the dream team of suppliers. Thank you so much Jess, it wouldn't have happened without you.

My husband and I got married in July 2024, and utilised Jess’ on the day wedding coordination package - but what her and her team give you is so so much more than that! We booked a venue which required lots of different suppliers (separate caterer, bar company, linen hire, port-a-loos etc….) and in the run up to it I said to my husband that I really wanted someone I could hand everything over to in advance so I could enjoy the run up and not be worrying about coordinating everything! Luckily, I’d met Jess at an event before we were even engaged and so she was the first person I went to for this help. And I am SO glad we did! She goes above and beyond for you to make sure your day is special and runs smoothly. I’ll never forget that I’d planned to tie the tags onto our favours the night before the wedding with my bridesmaids, only to turn up and for them to have already been done by Jess and her team without even needing to have asked. We had drinks “tokens” to hand out to our evening guests and I went to ask Jess for these in the evening to hand them out, again to find that they’d taken care of it already. They were one step ahead always on the little details, and knowing there was someone we could go to on the day if needed (rather than people coming to me or the wedding party) was truly invaluable. After our wedding I asked my partner what’s the one “non negotiable” you’d recommend to other couples planning a wedding like ours and we both agreed that it would be Jess and her team. I know my sister is also recommending her to friends who are getting married soon too as she was equally impressed by her! If you're wondering "do I really need a wedding planner?" the answer is no - you don't need just a wedding planner, YOU NEED JESS! The easiest ever 5 stars. Jess was phenomenal - you will not find a safer pair of hands for the biggest day of your life! BEFORE WEDDING DAY We thought we could do it all but we were so SO wrong. 16mths before our big day we realised that wedding planning is someone's profession for a REASON & opted to find an 'on the day' planner since most of our vendors were already booked. My biggest regret is not getting Jess on board from the outset! We spoke with a number of wedding planners & at the end of back-to-back initial meetings, we didn't even need to discuss who the best fit was - it was obviously Jess. Jess was, of course, kind & congratulatory & immediately easy to get on with, but she was also focused & able to demonstrate her ability to deliver our dream day from the very first moments of meeting her. We knew that she would have everything in hand! Jess was our go to whenever we had a wobble or a question or needed to soundboard something. Nothing was too much & she always responded quickly & with results! She put us at ease every step of the way. The thing with wedding planning is that you don't know what you don't know, & that is where Jess is essential. She won't just people please - she'll give you honest advice/opinions to ensure your day runs smoothly & in line with your vision, & she will quickly identify any issues or gaps & will have solutions before you can even ask! ON THE DAY Knowing Jess was going to be there put us at ease in the lead up. On the day we both said that booking Jess was the best decision we made on MULTIPLE occasions! Nothing was an issue, she had everything under control, & had solutions to any issues without us even knowing there'd been an issue. There was literally not one thing we had to worry about on the day. Ultimately, Jess was both a friendly face on the day putting us at ease & also the most proficient organiser I've ever seen. She took command, made sure everything/everyone was where they needed to be, & did so in the kindest & most professional way without so much as breaking a sweat. She makes EVERYTHING look effortless! By the end of the day, we were devastated that she was leaving after having delivered our dream wedding day which, due to her sheer effort & skill, far exceeded our expectations & frankly blew us out the water. TIPS 1 - Don't book any old wedding planner, BOOK JESS! And do it sooner than later - don't be me, you can't do it all! 2 - If you're having a multi-day wedding, particularly with a pre-party, book Jess! We didn't & when it came to bite me in the backside she was there at the drop of a hat & sorted EVERYTHING out. Massive regret not just booking her from the outset! 3 - Communicate! Jess is incredible but she's not a mind reader, & she got to know us so well so that she could deliver the exact right aesthetic & atmosphere on the day. 4 - Trust Jess implicitly. There is a reason this is her profession. She delivers flawless weddings week in, week out. If you hand over the reins, you will NOT be disappointed! OVERALL Jess is one of the most organised people you will ever meet & you'll rarely have a question that she hasn't already thought of & answered - she goes above & beyond! She is also so incredibly kind & we like to think over the past couple of years has become a real friend, something we are so grateful for. Our day was flawless & it was entirely down to Jess. Booking Jessica Sharpe Weddings was one of our best decisions & if you are lucky enough to book her I know it will be yours too! TO JESS There are no words to actually express our gratitude. We only looked around SWG for wedding venues and as soon as we saw this beautiful venue we booked the next day! It has been wonderful experience working with their team, Gina and Casey were just wonderful and so so helpful before the wedding and on the day. Communication has been great and the support from Anne setting up the day before was a god send! It was so nice having the opportunity to go the day before day before to create our wedding set up. An absolutely stunning setting for weddings! I've photographed multiple weddings at Scrivelsby Walled Gardens, and have also attended a friend's wedding as a guest here, it's just wonderful. Used Events by Beau for my son’s 1st birthday party, asked about a few ideas for the style we wanted and they helped organise the theme, colours and what we wanted! Easy to arrange, and easily the best there is! Everything was hassle free and set prior to the party starting. Will be booking for future events!!

Incredible! Olivia and I used peacock and bow for our wedding marquee and it was amazing! Everyone couldn’t believe the quality of the marquee and how beautiful It was! Katherine and team were brilliant from start to finish and the detail that goes into their work is incredible. Will use for any future events and recommend to anyone needing a marquee!

I cannot recommend Peacock and Bow enough - Katharine, Terry and the team are just the best. From start to finish everything was perfect - Katharine was so helpful, nothing was ever too much and she had so many great ideas! Katharine is so organised so everything ran so smoothly, and she was always at the end of the phone to answer all of our silly questions. Setting up the marquee and taking it down was so impressive to watch - so quick and professional and the whole team were lovely!! The team were so helpful in talking us through everything, and all was absolutely perfect on the day. The marquee itself was absolutely gorgeous and was everything we could’ve dreamed off. I can't thank Katharine and her team enough, their marquees are stunning and it absolutely made our wedding day. There is always something (apparently) that doesn't quite go to plan on a wedding day but this was not one of them, the whole experience was stress free, professional and a dream. I can't recommend Peacock and Bow enough, they won't disappoint. It was worth every penny and I would not hesitate to book them again for an event.

We stayed at Woodhall Manor for Christmas 2023- What an amazing place to stay for Christmas ! 4 families comfortably enjoyed the wonderful surroundings . The large spacious bedrooms , enormous dining room, bar and sitting rooms made our stay very memorable . The staff prepared everything ahead of our stay . The house was warm and welcoming and for a large group you would struggle to find anywhere better where you can all stay in one house , everyone with their own space. Thank you Woodhall Manor , we would definitely stay again .

We hired Woodhall Spa Manor for our wedding and the service we received during our interactions with the owners was 10/10. Richard and Jasmine were friendly and easy to talk to, as well as extremely helpful with everything. From recommending suppliers, to being available for extra visits, to helping out on the day as venue hosts they were excellent.

We had a wonderful stay at Woodhall Spa Manor for my 40th Birthday. Having found it online, we contacted Richard and Jasmine to ask if we could come and see it and they kindly gave us a full tour of the manor house and gardens, and found that the website doesn't do it justice! The house is wonderful - in particular the bedrooms, bar area (great for parties and events) and wooden panelled snug rooms. The gardens were also extensive and ideal for families. We were in frequent contact by email leading up to the event and found Richard and Jasmine to be very helpful and patient. The birthday party itself was perfect, with gorgeous weather meaning our band could play outside in the sunshine, but it would also have been great in the magnificent ballroom as well - a wonderful all weather's venue. All our guests had a lovely time and many commented how great it would be for other events - Christmas time or a murder mystery weekend. Thanks Richard and Jasmine!

We had our wedding on 17/6/23. Leading up to the date Richard and Jasmine were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, they answered all our questions and made sure we were happy with everything leading up to the day. We had the Manor for the full weekend. The Manor and the grounds are stunning. Our weekend was perfect. Our wedding in the sunken garden was picturesque. Every room is stunning. I would recommend the Manor to anyone looking for a venue in Lincolnshire. Richard and Jasmine will make you feel welcome from your first meeting. The passion they have for the Manor and ensuring you have the best day or weekend is evident from the very beginning. Our wedding was everything we dreamed and more. We recently had Shelley be our celebrant at our wedding and I cannot recommend her enough! She was amazing from start to finish creating such a bespoke and personal ceremony, we even gave her an extra challenge of announcing our secret to our guests that we were already married and she delivered!! We had lots of comments about how beautiful our ceremony was, it’s definitely a memory I’ll cherish forever! Shelley is the kindest most lovely person and her passion for her works shines through! We will definitely be using her services in the further for sure!! 💕

Shelly was an enormous help to me in writing the eulogy for my sister’s funeral.She didn’t rush us in what we wanted to say about her .Shelly could pick up on how much my sister was a big part of our family ,and her words came across so perfect and sincere about our sister … I would would totally recommend Shelly she is a lovely person and committed to her profession… After the funeral Shelly had taken her time in printing out the whole service and gave it to me in a lovely white box with 2 small candles inside with ribbon tied around the box .This was totally unexpected but a lovely gesture from Shelly .💞💞

Beautiful flower crown workshop! Ruby was absolutely amazing when she came to run a flower crown workshop for my daughters 8th birthday party. She arrived well prepared and well resourced, providing fresh flowers and all the required equipment to inspire the girls to make stunning creations. She was friendly and professional. The girls were taught the skills and supported, by Ruby, to independently create their crowns with a step by step demonstration. I would highly recommend Ruby.

I come back every year as it’s the best form of festive therapy ever! Ruby is fantastic and always has the best selection of foliage and accessories to create the most gorgeous wreath. She is so friendly and welcoming. Couldn’t recommend more!

Ruby was incredible. I changed the vision at least three times completely (sorry Ruby!) and she hit the nail on the head everytime. Her range and knowledge was so impressive. Ruby is so calm and everything felt completely under control, which was ideal because we are living in Australia. She made our day with every detail that she worked with (we had our stationary, flowers, decor and table settings from Ruby). Our venue was a really big space, so it thought it was going to be so difficult to make it feel less empty but Ruby did it! Highly recommend Ruby! 🤍 thank you again

I attended one of Ruby's wreath making workshops this week. It was such a fantastic experience to put us in the festive spirit. Ruby provided clear step by step instructions, and was attentive to the group if we needed help. There was a great selection of quality foliage and decorative items to choose from. This allowed us to put our individual stamp on our wreaths. Looking forward to booking again next year !!

Perfect location, perfect day, perfect team. We fell in love with Stockwith Mill the first time we visited. Nichola and Kristi where both so inviting and the whole place had a lovely family focus around it. It didn’t feel corporate and the whole interactions felt very personalised and very easy going. The team clearly want to create a lovely experience for everyone instead of just taking your money and leaving you to it, which was so lovely to see. It’s clear that money is being reinvested into the place and it’s been lovely to see it change and develop since our first visit. The venue itself was perfect for our wedding, we were lucky enough with the weather and getting married on the field was truly special. Many guests were discussing how nice the venue was and it had a lot of breakout areas for just relaxing and enjoying the scenery, as well as dancing, drinking etc. Our photographer was spoilt for chose with picking somewhere to take photos as they were a lovely mixture of everything. We particularly enjoyed the marshmallows and fairy lights in the evening. Kristi’s hard work on the day meant everything ran smoothly. If there were any issues on the day, these where clearly addressed quickly and quietly as we didn’t know if anything had ‘gone wrong’. The band was set up with no fuss and the room cleared quickly for the evening. Kristi managed guests amazingly. For drinks there was a good choice available to all, we opted for the drinking package and then a few bottles on each table. There was plenty of choice and I particularly enjoyed my rose wine. We opted for one of the teams recommended wedding stylists and caterings. These where great and the food was amazing, the sharing platter and paella was amazing both in looks and tastes. Overall, we feel Stockwith mill is an excellent choice for a smaller more intimate wedding, within an exclusive, peaceful venue. 5/5

Stockwith Mill was our chosen venue for our wedding reception in August 2024. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and provided the most stunning backdrop to our wedding. The grounds are well kept and perfect for the kids to run around and have fun. The Stables are well presented and the bar was well stocked. Nichola, Kristi, Simon and the rest of the team were friendly, professional and welcoming from the first time we met them and ensure our day ran smoothly. There’s so many positives to this venue- plentiful parking, beautiful scenery, great team members, many photo opportunities, a relaxed environment, heated outdoor area, the list goes on! It was the perfect venue for our day and we’d love to do it all over again!

What a beautiful venue! We married here on 3 August 2024 and the venue was perfect for our relaxed, intimate, countryside wedding. Nestled in Hagworthingham the venue is isolated enough for privacy and the tranquility of nature but convenient for local suppliers and transport. We were able to provide some decor of our own and also used some trusted suppliers we met at the open days. We were struggling when looking for venues with having 40 guests as we were either compromising on sharing space with other weddings/guests or we were concerned about the space being too large. Stockwith solved all of those worries with a cosy inside space for our wedding breakfast whilst having plenty of space for garden games, a fire pit and outdoor seating. The outside dance floor added an extra special touch to our first dance. Showers adorned our wedding morning but a plan B was in place and a swift move to the barn area made our outdoor wedding a possibility. Finally Kristi, Simon and Nichola were fantastic right from our initial enquiries, continuing through to the morning after. They supported our vision, helping it become a reality adding in their professional advice when asked. As someone who normally struggles to relinquish control, I felt completely confident and comfortable to sit back and enjoy the day. Kristi and the team ensured everything went smoothly and they went above and beyond with their attention to detail. I cannot praise this venue enough and Stockwith is a truly magical place to start married life celebrating with your friends and family. We would highly recommend you visit so you can see the magic for yourselves. A very happy and grateful Mr and Mrs Gray!
