We had the most amazing afternoon tea experience at the Astbury Golf & Lodge. It was our first time visiting the resort and everyone was impressed with the venue, staff and the food. The staff were amazing when it came to adjusting the afternoon tea for a child, offering alternatives and making sure we were happy with the food and diatary requirements. The afternoon tea was delicious, filling, had good variety of sandwiches and quality ingredients. The refillable hot drinks were decent, quick to come out and included lattes, cappuccinos etc. Overall, stunning venue and great afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday.
Played a round in October. The course was in good condition. Passing through the kitcen garden to reach the 1st tee is a novel walk to reach the elevated 1st tee. Greens ran true and in great form. Generally, the course provides a good challenge to all levels of golfers. Hilly in areas, so a buggy may be a good option. The club (Astbury Hall) is very comfortable and changing rooms a high standard. Will be great in warmer weather whilst enjoying a beer on the front patio. Made to feel very welcome by the staff. A wee bit out of the way but close to Bridgnorth. Views were a bit blurred due to damp grey weather, but it didn't dampen the enjoyment of the day.
