The Best Golf Courses in Quinton, West Midlands, United Kingdom (2025)

Outstanding course, both design and management have leant themselves to the production of one of (if not, the) best courses in the Midlands. Staff are friendly and are always on hand to help, coupled with the variety of services available at the course (fittings/ lessons) ensure that they cater to all needs. Clubhouse is well stocked and seating is abundant. The course itself offers a wide variety of challenges, while boasting a long dogleg par 5, and numerous challenging par 3's. The use of topography has also benefited the course layout. Visitation is highly recommended, and accompanied by a suggestion of ensuring you plan enough time to take in the views at the end.

Arranged a society day there. The team could not have been more helpful, Claudia in particular. The course was in very good condition, and is a good test where being straight is key. The clubhouse is very imposing in design, and makes for a lovely approach to the 9th. The food and drink were also great and I highly recommend if in the Birmingham area.

My experience at the golf club have been fantastic, from celebrating my birthday there to attending events like the BUN networking event, a Spanish evening and a recent Sir Elton John tribute.The ambiance, is beautiful, the service impeccable and the food consistently delicious. Highly recommend it.

Enrolled in the academy at Edgbaston last year - easily the best decision I made as an aspiring new golfer. Fantastic group of people, beautiful clubhouse and course, and expert tuition. If you're still on the fence, my advice is to take the opportunity while you can and start your golf journey with Edgbaston right away and you’ll never look back ⛳️

I’m a member at Moseley, and with 3yr old grandson in tow attended the Children’s Christmas party which was absolutely fantastic, a super Father Christmas. Another benefit of being a member of this great old club.

I visited Moseley golf club using the 1892 reciprocal courtesy arrangements, what a very friendly club, the members very friendly on the course asking if we are enjoying the course which was in perfect condition. A word on the director of golf Micheal Bayliss he was very welcoming and very obliging showing us around the clubhouse making sure we knew where to go. A very enjoyable visit Phil Bennett

An enjoyable parkland course with a good variety of holes. The greens were small, firm, undulating and fast. Couple this with rough around the greens it made the course play extremely tough. The condition of the course was excellent. It's compact, with several holes very close to others. Overhanging trees make the fairways narrower than they actually are, on several holes. The clubhouse team are friendly and helpful. The food is basic but fine and good value.

Played Fulford Heath for the first time yesterday. The course was in amazing condition and the best course I have played. Everyone enjoyed the round and the greens were incredible, much credit to the green keepers 👍

Played as a visitor with a group from Lilleshall Hall. Wonderful day despite the rain - course is beautifully designed and maintained. Made very welcome by staff. Thoroughly recommend playing there.

Myself and my wife played at Fulford Heath on Friday 7th July and we were very kindly given a courtesy round, by Paul Aitkens the Club Manager, due to our course hosting the Midland Youth Championships all week as it has done for the last 37 years!! The welcome we received was from everyone at Fulford Heath was warm and friendly and the course itself was in excellent all round condition and a very good test of golf. The greens were immaculate, very quick and true and a real pleasure to putt on. We had lunch before we played which was lovely and the pint on the patio after the round was very welcome indeed. The members we came across were extremely friendly and genuinely pleased to have us there which was nice. We even had a laugh and a joke with the fourball who had played behind us. Such nice people!! Overall we had a fabulous day on a superb course and receieved such a lovely welcome from everybody at Fulford Heath 🙂!! If you haven't played it before then it's a must visit and we are sure you will enjoy it just as much as we did!! We will certainly return in the very near future, hopefully in a Mixed Open at some point. Thanks again Paul and everyone else associated with Fulford Heath you are a real credit to your golf club. Although inclement weather; the course was a real joy. Tricky and compact but condition wise; the best I have played in the Midlands. Congrats to the course committee and green staff.

Nice welcome from Pro. Good reception. Food not as good as it used to be, but course is in fine form. A good challenge.

Really nice course and clubhouse. It's got a quality series of par 3 holes - all of them are very good. I was disappointed when we got stuck behind a six-ball that jumped in. I'm not sure if that's a regular thing members do here, but i still enjoyed the course and facilities.

Golf course excellent. Very well kept and maintained. Lots of bunkers and hazards. A joy to play on. Very expensive but like I said excellent course.

Played here today after being let down at another club and what excellent service and quality we received from Ollie in pro shop and everyone we met. First class facilities, course conditions and a true test. Do not pass up on this place and full credit again to Ollie. Will 100% return

Went for Sunday lunch. Food was excellent, crispy roast potatoes and tender beef. Really good value for money Service was second to none. Will certainly be returning

Great 27 hole golf course consisting of three loops of 9 holes. Very well maintained and in excellent condition. Very friendly golf shop that is well stocked and equally friendly clubhouse staff. Looked like the clubhouse would be available for events though not 100% sure. Tee booking unavailable but we turned up on a Friday and had no problem playing a round. £65 (on the Friday we played) but county cards accepted.

Excellent golf course with 3 sets of 9 ( 27 in total ). The fairways are a good width to allow full driving shots and the greens and bunkers in good condition. The Clubhouse and dining are a great feature of the club, set in a historic building with more modern extensions.

I dare anyone to find a better value course than Sandwell Park golf club. From the play out, to the carpet like fairways, the tree lined fairways and the friendly staff/members. Just a lovely lovely parkland course hidden away from suburbia.

Very friendly staff. Great course with interesting challenging holes, and the best greens I have played on in UK. The catering staff and food was also top notch. A hidden Midlands gem. Well done Sandwell, we will be back.

A hidden oasis and nice place/one of the best courses in the area. Apart from the entrance/exit (turning right) onto the main road and parking being a bit tight then all is good. Well run and recommended

We held my father-in-law’s wake at the golf club. The room was lovely and the buffet was beautiful. Very fresh, plentiful and well presented. Thank you to all the staff for taking care of us.

Visited as a party of 12. Excellent golf course in superb condition. Steve Carter the professional made the booking process easy and was very welcoming on the day. The food and catering staff were top notch. We would all come back to Walmley without hesitation.

Walmley is an absolutely top class Golf course. The welcome from the club professional was very friendly and informative. The course is a good test of golf and the condition, as always, was fantastic! In my opinion, it's one of the best maintained golf courses in the West Midlands. The greens staff were working on the bunkers and cutting the rough. The attention to detail on the course is a credit to them. Ots just a shame my game wasn't as high class as the surroundings. If you're looking for a game, or to join a club, I'd definitely recommend Walmley.

Popped in to cash in a competition voucher to buy golf shoes. Steve the Pro was extremely welcoming and helpful in choice of shoe. When I played in the invitation competition the organisation was first class. The presentation of the course was very good and meal afterwards superb.

My friends and I visited the Lewisham restaurant for an afternoon tea to celebrate two birthdays in the group of four. Absolutely loved the food for the tea. Great value, tea and coffee pots continually topped throughout our time there. Lovely scenery and attentive staff. A little noisy due to a large gathering celebrating a birthday in the middle but this didn't spoil our lunch. Thanks and I hope to visit again.

Had a birthday lunch here. Staff were lovely. My table was lovely, and a great sunday vibe was had by all....Food was amazing and very tasty... asked for more cauliflower cheese as there was not enough on my plate, and my palette wanted more! Had cheesecake and drinks. Somewhere local where you can dress smart/ smart-casual or go for it and still feel comfortable. I enjoyed my day .

Nine hole course, went round twice for 18. Some interesting holes, quite a challenge in places and very hilly. Hard work at times if you are walking due to hilly nature and rough paths. Good restaurant on site.

We had a private function it was very nice just a few problems like a lack of plates/cutlery. Nice and clean and friendly enough.

Caring and helpful staff make this venue special. Beautiful vista from the function room, dining room. I am not currently a golfer and have only visited for social occasions, functions, parties and unfortunately funeral dinners, including my own family members. Pat has been involved on each occasion and her attention to detail is commendable as is the food whether hot cold buffet or carvery, all excellent. Large car park.
