The Best Golf Courses in Walsall, West Midlands, United Kingdom (2025)

Played here last week. Considering I lived in this area for over 20 years I've never played here. Course in fantastic condition, lots of different holes, my only gripe is we teed off 35 minutes after the booking time, from other other people said this is a regular occurrence here. Didn't ruin the day though.

I dare anyone to find a better value course than Sandwell Park golf club. From the play out, to the carpet like fairways, the tree lined fairways and the friendly staff/members. Just a lovely lovely parkland course hidden away from suburbia.

Very friendly staff. Great course with interesting challenging holes, and the best greens I have played on in UK. The catering staff and food was also top notch. A hidden Midlands gem. Well done Sandwell, we will be back.

Brilliant driving range. Plenty of bays. Good price. The Dinosaur World Adventure Golf that is attached to the range looks unbelievable, would to take the kids there.

Took my 10 year old grandson who thourely enjoyed the day. I think he would have stayed longer, but as we had played crazy golf beforehand and bought 550 balls it was becoming an expensive day. Would definitely take him again though.

Always an amazing experience, Emma.G is always so lovely and accommodating, always makes me feel super comfortable and welcome. Great driving range and super clean facilities.

Good / fun 18 hole course crazy golf course. Staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. Also got 20 golf balls to try out on the driving range for free with a 7 iron. Definitely recommend.

If you want a beautiful room, put a function go to the golf club Holdridge Road,Walsall

Good course, playing long due to the recent rain, but set up was very fair. Really helpful staff, especially the guy in the pro shop, and in the clubhouse.

We didn’t experience this course in the best of weather. Drenched doesn’t begin to describe the state we weee in come the end of the round, but having paid, we played. The course however was lovely goods tee boxes, good fairways and very nice greens. The 18th par 5 is a lovely hole to finish with. The members we met on the day were all very welcoming, and apologetic for the weather, although I’m certain they had no control of it! The welcome was extended in the clubhouse, with good food being served. A course I would play again if I was in the area. Hopefully in sunshine next time.

A big thank you for the young gentleman in the pro shop yesterday Mon 12th Aug(who's name we didn't get) At short notice due to original booking was cancelled at another course that closed due to the weather, he arranged for myself and a friend to play at Their course. He was very pleasant and polite. The course was very nice to play, very friendly members and staff on the clubhouse. Thanks again Walsall golf club.

Well, what can I say... I think the picture sums it up just nicely. Got invited to an event here last night. Didn't know what to expect as I'm not really a golfer, but I was totally blown away. Literally had one of the best night in a long time. The venue and the course are absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. The members were so welcoming and friendly. I think I spoke to Literally every person! The food was perfect. Highly recommend this place, if you're local and not already a member I urge you to get in touch and join. What an amazing night. Thanks for the invite and will definitely be back. Oh, the captains a legend by the way 👏 🙌 😎

Very nice course, the greens were great, and the course on the whole was very neat & tidy. Well worth playing. There is a decent chipping & putting practice area as well as nets. The pro shop has some decent stock and there is a simulator which I believe you can hire out.

Fantastic club and beautiful course, the team do an excellent job there. Highly recommend a game here anytime of year.

Went to the function room that was hired for a wake. The buffet was delicious and warm. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This was the first time my wife and I had eaten at this establishment, but we’ll definitely be returning in the near future! It’s worth mentioning that there are two eating areas: the bar and the adjoining Bunker, we chose the Bunker because I wanted to watch a Champions League match which was being broadcast on several of the large screen TV’s they have in there. By the way, the chaps behind the bar were efficient and welcoming. We chose two courses (starter and main) and we were both very pleased with our choices. We didn’t have to wait long for our food, and when it arrived at our table it was piping hot. For the main course my wife chose the mixed grill, which she was very impressed with, I had the lamb curry with boiled rice which was delicious. We found the portions to be generous and nicely presented. Our waitress, Maisie was very attentive and friendly throughout our meal and really helped make the occasion a very pleasant dining experience indeed.

A lovely clean place. Really well set out and fully wheelchair accessible. The dinosaur's aren't just models they move and make noise also. Just thing let it down. The amount of glasses left around the site from other customers. If these were to smash it would cause problems trying to clean every bit off the grass. Maybe plastic glasses would be better or a glass deposit to make sure they are returned.

Played on the adventure golf which has a dinosaur 🦕 theme. Lots of fun. Best to book in advance. Would be busy at peak times. Attractive area with plastic dinosaurs, with bridges and water features.

Adventure golf with the wife and kids. Was great fun! Kept us occupied for over an hour. Moving, life like dinosaurs which the kids loved! Wasn't to crowded, didn't have to wait to long for the next course. Cafe there for drinks and snacks. Different colourer balls for each player and different size clubs dependent on size which was great! We all loved it!

Somehow, off a 9 handicap index I had a 7 playing handicap! Maybe it was the 45mph wind but it wasn't easy! Some stunning holes.... 1 is a nice opener 2 is a risk reward 3 a cracking par 5 up hill! 4 a quirky little par 3 with a 10 foot layered green 8 the par 6! (Bit bland actually but still a par 6 at 666yds off the yellows and 725 off the blues! Back 9 equally had some really nice variety of holes, ending with the TPC Sawgrass style 17th which is the final test at West Midlands. The welcome was less than perfect but as a golf course...well worth a trip

Just wanted to chill out somewhere on a Sunday afternoon and what better place to do that. Chilled out atmosphere, with plenty of outdoor seating. Nice bar, didn't have food, but will next time. Great views. Great service. Enjoyable afternoon.

Awesome experience. Beautiful place in the nature with great views, plenty of place to take a short walk, sit and have a sip of tea/coffee. We also ordered some foods. Nachos was very good. Prawn cocktail, however, was not. Coffee was one of the best I have ever had. Going again for sure.

One of the best golf courses we have played this year in all the open events. The greens were fast and true, just how you would want them. My only issue was that on the day after a 2 hour drive and arriving at the golf club at 5 mins past 12.00, we were told that the kitchen was closed at 12.00.

First time I've played this course. Found it to be very interesting and just about the right challenge. The course has some great features. Course management is important here. Club house well kept and staff very friendly. I will definitely play there again .

A really lovely golf course in immaculate condition. Great value too. Only negative, the “members only” signs don’t make visitors feel overly welcome…. Perhaps “members and playing visitors only” would be better. Will definitely play again though.

Massive thanks to Lucy and the team for helping our special day run so smoothly. Communication was great and Lucy really did go above and beyond from when we booked all the way through to the big day. We would definitely recommend Aston Wood for your own celebrations.

I used Aston Woods to hold my Wife’s wake and can I just say thank you so much. It was a large funeral approx 200 people. We were given the Fotherly suite at the back of the clubhouses overlooking the golf course.(it also has a very large patio area outside and fortunately the weather gods were on our side)the buffet was excellent and so were the staff.Finally a massive thank you to the management team of Lucy and John they were superb from start to finish nothing was too much trouble.Thank you Aston Woods for making a sad day so beautiful I would recommend this place to anyone

Stayed on a Thursday night. Simple no fuss kinda place that is clean. Good for one night stay. Rooms are warm (possibly too warm when heating left on 30) but comfortable once you figure out heating and the windows open. The bed was a bit too soft for my liking, but overall it was worth the money. Works perfectly for a 1 night no frills simple place to stay with large chains and as it was a Thursday it was quiet.

Very helpful ,needed re grips for clubs, got them done no problem, lots of new golfing gear in stock and a nice golf range at the back ,top place

First time I ever went here and the first time i played golf definitely enjoyed it 100 balls for £5 cant complain it was fun definitely recommend !

Just had a great custom fit session with Jordan. Great process to go through highly recommend.
