The Best Golf Courses in Bloxwich, West Midlands, United Kingdom (2025)

Played here last week. Considering I lived in this area for over 20 years I've never played here. Course in fantastic condition, lots of different holes, my only gripe is we teed off 35 minutes after the booking time, from other other people said this is a regular occurrence here. Didn't ruin the day though.

I dare anyone to find a better value course than Sandwell Park golf club. From the play out, to the carpet like fairways, the tree lined fairways and the friendly staff/members. Just a lovely lovely parkland course hidden away from suburbia.

Very friendly staff. Great course with interesting challenging holes, and the best greens I have played on in UK. The catering staff and food was also top notch. A hidden Midlands gem. Well done Sandwell, we will be back.

This is a stunning course. Each hole is aesthetically beautiful, as well as giving you plenty to think about in each shot. We played in October and the course was presented in fantastic condition. The club house is also a lovely building, and the staff,food and beer where all top quality.

Played here on the 17th of October and feel obliged to leave feedback. The golf course was incredible. Every other course I’ve played recently is absolutely soaked - even the ones that normally drain well haven’t dealt with the rain we’ve had but this place was bone dry. We didn’t see one wet patch. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were in superb condition and we played from the white tees as it’s not super long - it’s more of a plotters positional golf course. The service in the pro shop was friendly and welcoming and we got chatting to a few of the members before we went out who were extremely helpful and gave advice on how to approach the course. Practice facilities were great and the speed of the practise green was identical to main greens which seems to be rare these days. Unfortunately we played on a very windy day and add that to not really knowing the holes - didn’t score great 😂 But in a way I’m glad because it’s given me a good reason to come back and get my revenge. 10/10 would recommend. Excellent golf course in the top 100 , superb condition, magnificent greens. Has the feel and look of a Swinley Forest, very tree lined. Great environment with old school clubhouse you will not be disappointed

Superb test of Golf. Par threes are especially noteworthy. Course condition when played in August 2022 and 2024 in a club match - superb. Cannot recommend this course highly enough. Clubhouse is good, although catering not atypical of most clubs and could be improved. Let’s face it though you don’t go to a golf club for the grub!

Carvery lunch with family and friends. Pascal, the French chef, provided a real British roast ... with gravy ! Unheard of by the French 😁. Delicious food, beautiful dining room and lovely views.

Well, what can I say... I think the picture sums it up just nicely. Got invited to an event here last night. Didn't know what to expect as I'm not really a golfer, but I was totally blown away. Literally had one of the best night in a long time. The venue and the course are absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. The members were so welcoming and friendly. I think I spoke to Literally every person! The food was perfect. Highly recommend this place, if you're local and not already a member I urge you to get in touch and join. What an amazing night. Thanks for the invite and will definitely be back. Oh, the captains a legend by the way 👏 🙌 😎

Very nice course, the greens were great, and the course on the whole was very neat & tidy. Well worth playing. There is a decent chipping & putting practice area as well as nets. The pro shop has some decent stock and there is a simulator which I believe you can hire out.

Went to the function room that was hired for a wake. The buffet was delicious and warm. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Great course, and considering the weather days prior to our visit, in very good condition, the course is fairly flat which for us oldies is a bonus, but it is still not an easy course. Some very interesting holes and greens are well protected. The staff are very friendly and we were well looked after throughout the day. Our meal was very tasty and well prepared, empty plates all round. This is the second year we have played the course, after recommendations from some members of our home club, and we have already decided we will return in 2024

A big thank you for the young gentleman in the pro shop yesterday Mon 12th Aug(who's name we didn't get) At short notice due to original booking was cancelled at another course that closed due to the weather, he arranged for myself and a friend to play at Their course. He was very pleasant and polite. The course was very nice to play, very friendly members and staff on the clubhouse. Thanks again Walsall golf club.

Good course, playing long due to the recent rain, but set up was very fair. Really helpful staff, especially the guy in the pro shop, and in the clubhouse.

Still wet after weeks of rain but greens were dry and fast. Not the best time of the year for golf but a most enjoyable experienc with a pint and sandwich.

One of the best golf courses we have played this year in all the open events. The greens were fast and true, just how you would want them. My only issue was that on the day after a 2 hour drive and arriving at the golf club at 5 mins past 12.00, we were told that the kitchen was closed at 12.00.

Paid £10.50 for 18 holes pitch and put. This course is great for beginners. Most of the holes are around 100 yards. So one good T off and you should be near the green to put. I putted most holes in 5 ‐ 7 strokes on average. But I haven't been playing that long. Would be great for youngsters as well.

Had the pleasure of playing this neat little par 3 course recently with a mate who lives in Cannock. Cracking layout and a test for your short iron play. There are water hazards and bunkers so not all plain sailing. Highly recommend and hope to do it again. My only slightly negative comment would be there's a lot of pitch marks on the greens so perhaps players could be aware of the need to repair them. Still five stars though. Shot 49 by the way 😂

Somehow, off a 9 handicap index I had a 7 playing handicap! Maybe it was the 45mph wind but it wasn't easy! Some stunning holes.... 1 is a nice opener 2 is a risk reward 3 a cracking par 5 up hill! 4 a quirky little par 3 with a 10 foot layered green 8 the par 6! (Bit bland actually but still a par 6 at 666yds off the yellows and 725 off the blues! Back 9 equally had some really nice variety of holes, ending with the TPC Sawgrass style 17th which is the final test at West Midlands. The welcome was less than perfect but as a golf course...well worth a trip

Just wanted to chill out somewhere on a Sunday afternoon and what better place to do that. Chilled out atmosphere, with plenty of outdoor seating. Nice bar, didn't have food, but will next time. Great views. Great service. Enjoyable afternoon.

Attended a wedding here. Wonderful place.Staff were friendly and always smiling and with beautiful surroundings. Also have a large well stocked fishing lake

A really lovely golf course in immaculate condition. Great value too. Only negative, the “members only” signs don’t make visitors feel overly welcome…. Perhaps “members and playing visitors only” would be better. Will definitely play again though.

Massive thanks to Lucy and the team for helping our special day run so smoothly. Communication was great and Lucy really did go above and beyond from when we booked all the way through to the big day. We would definitely recommend Aston Wood for your own celebrations.

Stayed on a Thursday night. Simple no fuss kinda place that is clean. Good for one night stay. Rooms are warm (possibly too warm when heating left on 30) but comfortable once you figure out heating and the windows open. The bed was a bit too soft for my liking, but overall it was worth the money. Works perfectly for a 1 night no frills simple place to stay with large chains and as it was a Thursday it was quiet.
