I have been to this golf club many times and it has never failed to impress. The pro shop and bookings team have always been very helpful. The 3 courses are pure, greens roll fast and a lovely setting. Rounds in the wind are awesome but can be very challenging. So sometimes very difficult for a chopper like myself. I always have the best time going to Princes and am excited to return. A must play golf course.

A prestigious links course and one of the 100 best in England. The course is unobstructed, spacious and pleasant. We played Dunes and Himalayas, both after heavy rain, but the grounds were not too badly damaged (although there were puddles in places). They were well maintained and the greens were fast. It was very challenging, but I would like to stay and play in the summer next timešŸ„° At the end, you enter a toll road, but you can go straight through on the way there. If you see a staff on the way back, just declare that you played golf at Prince's and you can pass through for free.

Stunning place to play golf. Course was in very good condition for the final day of October. As itā€™s links it drains incredibly well. Played on consecutive days, the first had benign conditions and glorious sun, the second was true links golf with very strong winds. Some very challenging holes but well worth a visit. We did 2Ɨ18 holes, breakfast dinner and one night accommodation for just over Ā£200. Brilliant value

The Ridge Golf Club

I haven't played a round yet or been on the driving range, but I have been in the club house. (Played the adventure golf). Amazing. Great selection of food and drinks. We had the American burger, which was, dare I say it, the best burger I have had in years (comes with chips) and the kids' burger. The kids' burger was very nice and big too. Comes with chips and peas or beans. It was far too much for my son, so we took the rest of the burger home. I couldn't fault the service either. Very friendly, welcoming, and with a smile. The place was full of people, and the almosphere was buzzing. Need I say more. Only been once, loved It, and will be going back.

Great place to hit a few balls on the driving range at a decent price of Ā£5 for 50 or Ā£7 for 75. Have yet to try a full round but its a beautiful part of the country so Im sure it will be good. The clubhouse is immaculately clean the new crazy golf course looks very tempting.

I love this course... Inland Links at its finest. Tees and Greens always immaculate. Tricky on a windy day but can be played by all handicappers. Course improvements happening all the time. Course drainage one of the best in the country in winter. Very dry today on a cold and Novembery day.

Anonymous - 4 years ago

Rating: 4 / 5

They say they are one of the best draining courses in Kent. I went the day after a big storm. It was one of the only courses open and the condition was better than any course I have played during the winter months. The greens were a bit too hard but better than most. The fairways had drained nicely and played well. Bunkers did have lying water but thatā€™s to be expected with the amount of rain we had recently. Club house is great, modern and welcoming. Pro shop had the most friendly and informative pro I have meet yet, he was friendly and more than happy to help.

The staff are friendly and informative, making you feel welcome and appreciated. From booking the tee time on the phone to the moment we left we everyone was so friendly. The course is the highlight, itā€™s a stunning short-ish course. With some beautiful views as you make your way around. There is little fort on the picturesque par 3 on hole 5. It seems easy at first with the front 7 holes lulling you into a sense of greatness. Then the course changes and shows you its true colours. With ever greater difficulty not just in yardage but also with the bunkers guarding the greens and hole placement. Talking about bunkers they were all in great condition, with light fluffy sand and extremely well place to catch the average drive. Underneath is chalk which makes for a lovely playing surface. The greens are a tad slow, but tricky with excellently placed holes. Each one has its own character and challenges, many of which are vividly memorable or maybe haunting šŸ˜…. Great day. Canā€™t wait to come back.

Quite a difficult course with ditches, water hazards and bunkers as well as the wind coming off of the river. Very well looked after, ground staff working hard all year round maintaining and upgrading the course. Nice restaurant, good cooked breakfast before teeing off. Very pleasant bar staff for a beer/coffee at the 19th. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff in the pro shop. Would thoroughly recommend.

Birchwood Park Golf & Country Club

Rating: 4.3 (862) Price Level:

We went to Birchwood Park to attend a celebration of a beautiful life cut sorrowfully short, and not to play golf. That said, we were greeted by beautiful and immaculately kept grounds that were being used by plenty of golfers engaged in their sport. The views were nothing short of stunning, the atmosphere serene. The room we were in was spacious and light with a sheltered balcony and easy access to bathroom facilities. All guests were made to feel very welcome by all members of Birchwood Park's staff from serving staff to the bar manager: I felt they appreciated the solemness of the occasion, and were beyond courteous. The afternoon tea provided was fulsome, with copious amounts of sandwiches - quality fillings well presented. We all to a man left feeling much more relaxed, even in spite of the initial purpose of us coming together: I think that the venue combined with the way we were all looked after by the staff had a lot to do with this.

I would highly recommend using their venue for functions as the venue is a beautiful and an amazing place. The staff were absolutely wonderful and very professional and helpful in every way. Shana the events manager was a complete star she went above and beyond to help us all the way throughout to organise our Grandmother's wake. I would highly recommend this venue and myself and my family would like to thank Shana and her team for everything they have done for us and we would definitely use the venue again for future functions. I have had the pleasure of shooting several weddings at Birchwood Park Golf and Country Club. The Clubhouse hosts their ceremony room on the first floor, overlooking the rolling fairways and lake, and is a beautiful room offering plenty of natural light for photographs. There is plenty of outside space for group photos, candid documentary photography and couple portraits. The staff are helpful and professional.
