The best Sunday roast we’ve had in a long time. We’ve lived a few miles away for about 20 years and this was our first visit. I wish we’d found it sooner! Great wholesome and tasty food, in a calm and welcoming environment. The mushroom wellington was absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back. I even checked out the toilets which were spotless and fresh.

It is not very often you find a little gem of a local pub that has everything in place to make your visit and experience one to remember fondly. The staff were very welcoming, attentive, and happy to assist in your choices. We had a starter, the steak for a main, and dessert. All was beautiful cooked, well presented, and served quickly. The covered outside eating area gives a lovely atmosphere, and we will be happy to return.

I really like this pub, the menu is "proper" and the staff are really nice. Roast dinner wasn't great today (my friend had it), but the fish and chips were very nice and the desserts are great value and really yummy. Sticky toffee is lush...not sure if it's homemade but...very tasty. I just wish it was served in a bowl! Chips were delicious

Lovely little traditional pub. Have lunched here quite a few time and have never had any issues. Service is perfect, staff are attentive and helpful. Food selection is great, prices even now are still reasonable. Food itself is delicious, chips with blue cheese is to die for 😋 Drink selection is brilliant. Lots to try and a lot of local breweries seem to have offerings here and they’re all served in lovely clean glassware. One of my favourites is the Hazy Hog cider.

We recently had Sunday roast dinner. Lamb, beef, chicken and pork roasts are available. Beautiful old pub with lots of outside areas for dining. Great service but the food was just ok and far from impressive. It all looked and tasted a bit processed. The parnips are extra cost and so too is the stuffing and cauliflower cheese. Overall, the poor food quality meant that it was not very good value for money.
