Had our Christmas wedding at Ashfield House. It was perfect ! Jenny worked her socks off whilst smiling all along keeping everything moving and making sure everyone was happy. It felt like having your own massive home with staff / friends that you had invited everyone too for your big day. We had the best day ever ! Thanks Jenny and Majorie and the team. Chris Currie photography definitely recommends Ashfield House. It’s a gem for weddings, offering a blend of elegance and exclusivity. The venue, with its stunning interiors and beautiful gardens, provide a perfect backdrop for me to photograph, especially the couples portraits. The wedding team at the venue were lovely and ensured that the day flowed perfectly. I’m looking forward to returning soon.

We were invited to a family christening reception at Ashfield House (Standish, Wigan, UK) in September 2024. What a beautiful building! We were in a Lovely, spacious room, leading to an outdoor terrace, and the garden area. Stunning setting! I found the staff to be helpful, kind and friendly. The buffet was tasty, and well presented. It was a great place to celebrate with the family's,and friends. You should consider Ashfield House for your next big life event!!

We have just celebrated our wedding day at Ashfield House and for anyone thinking of booking them - DO IT! You will not regret it. We have had the most magical experience since booking in November 2022 up until our wedding day (15th December 2023). We were made to feel incredibly welcome from the minute we stepped through the door during their open evening event. When I had a few picky requests about the menu for our big day there was no hesitation that it could be changed for us! Whatever we needed they arranged and an incredible job they did. We were communicated with throughout the year via phone calls, emails and face to face chats to discuss all the finest details. There was nothing too much trouble. On the day Jennie was our wedding coordinator and she was incredible. She had a huge smile on her face throughout the long day (of work for her!). She was busy organising in the background we barely knew she was there, but she was always there when we needed her and so happy to help with whatever requests we and our guests had. The venue had been so beautifully dressed for Christmas and it honestly blew me away! The gardener was there bright and early making sure that the outside was just as spectacular as the inside. The rooms were all beautifully clean and tidy and everything was perfect. The wedding breakfast was delicious and I’ve had so many guests tell me how incredible they thought the food was! The whole day flowed perfectly and everything ran smoothly thanks to Jennie and the rest of the team! The other staff were also excellent and so accommodating. Whether I was asking for food, drinks or help with my dress nothing was too much trouble and they were so quick to come and help. The next morning Jennie was back and again busy working! The breakfast set up was so lovely and the food was delicious. The staff had gathered all of our things that had been left downstairs the night before and packed it all away ready for us to take home! 10/10 100% would recommend! Worth every penny and I will forever treasure my incredible day!

Am I allowed to have a favourite wedding venue after filming weddings for all these years...? If I can, then Ashfield House is up there! As well as being a wedding videographer filming weddings there, I've been to an awards do, open days and even a wreath making workshop and it's always been a wonderful experience. The team there will go above and beyond, making sure that both you and your guests feel truly looked after!
