First time at Breightmet today, really enjoyed the course with a nice variety of holes, greens very good, friendly staff and nice clubhouse, will definitely play here again.

Hired the room for a 21st birthday party. Really good communication throughout and brilliant help from Sam for setting up, etc. We could choose whether to bring a DJ or whether to play our own music through the speakers. We had to use their own caterers but this was not a problem as communication was again very easy and the food was fantastic. An ideal venue for a great celebration with views over the golf course that are well worth looking out over.

Very good course with a lot of challenging tee shots and a lot of elevation, it’s well looked after and sign posted well as you need that for holes 7/8 and 15 because all 3 fairways are split and divided by trees I will be back again soon

Just had a great day at Deane. We played 28 holes, 10 in the morning and 18 in the afternoon. The weather overnight hadn't been great but the course was in fantastic condition with very tricky greens. Very friendly members and staff who were very helpful explaining the new layout and ongoing changes to the course. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to this excellent course with some very challenging holes

Nice club house, clean & modern overlooking the golf course. Pleasant friendly staff. I went with friends to see a Play upstairs "Ladies Day" by Phoenix Theatre which was very entertaining. The room is small so it got hot quickly but thankfully someone opened a window at the interval. A small intimate room for watching a play.

Recently had my Nans funeral wake here and it was perfect. The staff were super helpful and Joanne who organised the booking was brilliant and couldn’t do enough for us at a very hard time. The food we chose was pie and peas and a buffet selection which was highly complimented by everybody! Service, food, staff and venue were all spot on and I would highly recommend. Thanks Joanne and the team

Great course in fantastic condition. Greens really tricky and a good test. Very hilly and I was carrying so had a good workout aswell. Some interesting holes and great views you wouldn't think you were in Bolton. Would definitely return. Only negative the worker in the pro shop was a bit funny he turned up on the 16th hole and started to play a few holes. I caught him up and he a said I can't let you through it's ladies day it's there day. I didn't even ask to be let though was just enjoying the golf. Other than that jobs worth was a great day. Saw him when I was leaving after a pint and he had nothing to say then. Try a smile next time

Attended wedding reception in the function room. Lovely laid out room with a good seating arrangement. Good selection of beers friendly bar staff. Suitable for around 60 -80 guests comfortably. separate room for buffet. Seating available outside on benches , nice views over the course Overall a nice place . Would recommend

The course landscape team do an amazing job. Plays so well, even after rain. First nine a real challenge rewarding views out to Manchester and Wales on a bright day.

I went to listen to the ladies choir it was beautiful its run by April Elizabeth. The golf club was warm welcoming and friendly. The staff were so helpful chatty and nothing to much trouble.

Great value for pay and players and members alike. Course is normally in great condition and presents a fair challenge for players of all standards. Friendly welcome atmosphere in the clubhouse.

First time here but a great course (It's in the name) very well looked after the fairway and greens were perfect. The greens were fast so go easy!😁

A really nice course to play the weather was lovely some nice views over the course my only complaint is there was no bins for rubbish.bu apart from that some nice wide fairways on most holes so I really enjoyed it would recommend this course

Joined for the first time in January, having never been a member of a golf club before I wasn't sure what to expect. The club is so welcoming, the members all encourage you to join in and in all it's a really friendly atmosphere. The course is excellent, considering the amount of bad weather we have had its in great shape. Some challenging holes, even more so depending on the wind direction but all adds to the fun. Anyone thinking of joining a golf club for great value for money, welcoming atmosphere and a well maintained course look no further than Great Lever & Farnworth golf club.

Great course. Fantastic views some really good holes. Ended up with a birdie and five pars. Shot under 100 for the first time. Only negative play was really slow. Got stuck behind two four balls and I was on my own. Some daunting tee shots but a great challenge

I’ve played here a lot over the years and the new guys running it have got it into the best condition I’ve ever seen it. Quite hilly and a lot of blind shots but if you’re hitting it straight it’s not a problem. Some excellent holes and some amazing views. One of the best courses in the north west without a doubt.

Very good pitch and putt course, has plenty of features and challenges that will bring you back playing it again and again - no two rounds are the same. Generally has been well maintained and a few holes now have new teeing off mats however some need replacing.

Me and My 2 boys contacted them to play when we travelled to Manchester from Boston in May 2023. They were very helpful and nice. Rental clubs were available, and course was a fun change from local Boston courses. Staff was great..... Recommend for a fun day.

Really enjoyed my round here and shot my best 81. Didn't lose a ball which was very unusual. Was all on winter greens but course is really good shape for January. Would be really good in the summer. Seems to drain quite well with all the rain and we have had ball didn't plug all round

Thank you to Lauren who made my Mums 90th Birthday/Mum and Dad's 70th wedding anniversary so special. The buffet was amazing, bar staff attentive and overall a fantastic venue.

I recently attended a party here. It was easy to navigate to, with lovely scenery nearby, plenty of parking in addition to a well-laid out room (I love the fairy lights!!), reasonable prices at the bar and lovely staff.

Played here today, 1st time on a golf course ever and really enjoyed our game, the course looks really well kept and the guys in the shop where really helpful. Good few hours fresh air. Could play here every week and still find it a challenge.

didn't go the golf course had a walk round the lake ..was quite busy as the kids are of school nice walk.

Really nice place for a day out. Has become busier after recent improvements and additions of a cafe/eatery and playground upgrades. Barriers have been put in to ensure everyone pays for parking. You can pay whilst you're there or scan QR code and pay online. Once paid the gate will automatically open within 20 mins of payment when approached. We've been there numerous times and kids enjoy it there. We will be back for sure!

Duxbury Woods are a lovely place for a dog walk with the promise of a tasty bacon roll & pot of tea at the end of it at the golf club cafe. The ladies in the cafe were very helpful & friendly - thank you 😊
