I've never been here before, but came here for a private function. I must say we were well looked after. From the room we were in there was a beautiful view right across the golf course and it was a really nice place to spend the afternoon. The buffet that was laid on was excellent and must say the caterers did a fantastic job. All the food was freshly made and well presented. I did feel sorry though for the poor barmaid who struggled most of the afternoon on her own but still managed to serve everyone and did a good job.

Very attractive golf course with a variety of interesting, and testing, parkland holes. Good views and well presented. Friendly staff. Very close to the M6 motorway.

Cracking course. Not the longest but some great holes. I managed a good few pars which I was made up with. I got a bit confused with some of the tees and some are adjacent to each other but members pointed me in the right direction. Some good downhill drives and driveable par 4 which I nearly managed one of them. Would definitely return

Visited Gathurst Golf Club today with work colleagues. The ground is meticulously maintained. All staff were friendly and helpful. At the end of our game we were looked after at the bar by Matthew. Overall a fantastic day from start to finish, couldn’t recommend enough.

We visited the Australian Crazy Golf and had a great time with our 2 boys it took us around a hour to complete the course could have took longer but felt we were being rushed along by a man and 2 very young children who were trying to finish as fast as they could 😕 we loved all the Australian landmarks and would definitely recommend and would visit again 💯

I went to the mini golf with my two children aged 6 and 4. They loved it! Amazing course, the girls didn't get bored and played until the end still wanting more! Kept entertained by all of the props around the course and the Australian facts. Definitely returning customers.

Great practise facility with a real family feel to it. The 9 hole Par 3 course is really well maintained, with very unforgiving rough all year round. There is also a really well kept putting and chipping green. Plus the trackman system helps you keep upto speed with how you are coming along.

Visited the newly opened Australia themed Crazy Golf, it was absolutely fabulous. I cannot rave enough about this! The courses are amazing, beautifully built, with such detail and the courses are challenging and really good fun. The finish is top notch and so much fun. There are all the major landmarks, animals and novelties of Australia. A definite must. We played a family of 4, it took 1hr 10mins to get around, with only a small wait at one of the holes, but this gave us chance to lap up the scenery.

I recently held my 80th birthday celebration for approximately 50 guests in the Function Room at the club. I want to compliment the club caterers "Chip and Sip" and the club bar staff on their service and friendliness in providing a magnificent Hot and Cold buffet, the food was excellent and plentiful, all fresh and prepared and cooked in the Club house kitchen. Everyone was impressed with the quality of the food and the bar service. I would thoroughly recommend Pike Fold Golf Club as an ideal venue for any kind of social function.

Played the seniors open and the course was in good condition particularly the greens. Fairly generous off the tees but with a few hazards dotted about. Everyone very friendly in pro shop and clubhouse. Well worth a visit.

Had a great day's golf, the course is in excellent condition and the staff really helpfulness friendly. Will definitely pay another visit soon.

Not played pike fold before but I was pleasantly surprised and really impressed with the course - good design and routing of holes. It was in really good condition and the greens were superb - excellent pace and roll to them. Was quite busy for a Monday morning but pace of play was fine. Enjoyed a pint afterwards, and staff and members that we met were friendly. Would definitely go back and play there again.

Westhoughton Golf course was an absolute bargain. £20 . We played on 2nd May. The back 9 was having some work o the greens being done, over sanding etc. So I don't know if this was a cheaper rate. The front 9 was great greens and fairways were suburb for time of year and the recent wet weather that all courses have been suffering from. Very few plugged balls and some good run out on fairways was a pleasant change. Some very nice holes with some nice water features guarding some greens. Overall for the price this course is / was a bargain and if this was a normal summer green fee we'll be back for sure. Only down side is no pro shop. But a bar and food is available all staff were very friendly and members encountered were very accommodating. Thankyou for a great day Westhoughton GC. 👍😊

Great course in mint condition. Greens like snooker tables with a few tricky reads. some big ponds to shoot over which I managed. Watch out for the par 5 on front nine nearly caught me out. Not sure if it was an error but only paid £10 for eighteen holes on Saturday afternoon but a right bargain

Really nice course. The ladies that made us breakfast really very friendly and made you feel welcome. Golf course is a thinking round one of the better course played in a few weeks. Big well done.

Nice course, good value at £20, greens were in good condition and was fairly quick, most greens fairly straightforward but does have tricky ones sprinkled in with some difficult pin positions. Fairly flat course so comfortable walking round. No pro shop though but would visit again for a comfortable round and shouldn't lose too many balls compared to other courses around here.

Plays very well even after days of heavy rain, not much surface water. Great, long holes, not too challenging and great for newer golfers.

The term hidden Gem gets used a lot but this is definitely hidden and its definitely a gem. The club has a great setting with a long single track drive from the main road through the course to a stunning clubhouse that has a moat with Black Swans on it. The staff were fantastically helpful and friendly. The course starts with a really tough 200+ yard par 3 (play for the front edge wherever the pin is). The course is a really enjoyable layout, not a tough walk or overly long and it was in very good condition.

Lovely little course, well looked after! Managed to drive the 9th hole last round so its my favourite place at the minute!

Brilliant course. Nice having a par 4 to start and end the round. Makes it feel bigger than it is.

It was a nice experience, I think it was 2 or 3 of the par 3s was just a tad too short to count as a hole lol but the rest was great to play the par 4s was good too. All in all the greens was well enough £8 isnt too bad and it's great practice for the short game which I didn't know I needed until I played here haha.

What a great little course. 1st time here today and loved it. We will 100% be back! Price is more than fair at £8 for 9 holes or £13 for 18. Like that you get the option after paying and playing 9 you can pay the £5 and go again if you want.

Stunning course with great views across the area. Parts of the course were flooded but the weather had been terrible beforehand (welcome to the North West). The course was really well maintained throughout. The bar area was cozy, reasonably priced and the food was excellent.

Bolton Balloon Fairies was asked to create a Balloon Wall around our 4 foot LED Numbers and what a gorgeous room they have for hire for functions. It's an upstairs room and is very large holding a couple of hundred people. Car park is spacious and bars are on both floors. Highly recommend 👌

Bolton old links was a really good folf course. Some really deep difficult bunkers well placed. Must avoid at all cost. Greens were absolutely amazing. Some tee shots are blind, but hole map on every tee helps. Course knowledge is definitely an advantage here. Fairways are generous and rough is punishing. A great course overall.

Went on a society day and have no complaints at all. Course was excellent, green's were superb. Food and service after golf was top class a very enjoyable day.

Great welcome in the pro shop , very friendly .Only played 9 holes as a visitor but wow , the best greens I've played hands down all year. The front 9 had some really lovely holes ,especially the par 3 9th. Will 100% be going back 100% credit to the greenstaff. Pics of the 9th green and also looking back to the 9th tee. Superb hole.

Having been a member previously, I was happy to play a round last week, to my delight, I cannot tell you the improvements that have been made to the course. Rob (head green keeper) and his team have improved the course and the ascetics 10 fold. The greens are in the best conditions I’ve ever seen them, the fairways and second cuts are cut to perfection and the general upkeep is second to none. Well done Rob and team for the great improvements and attention to detail. Definitely well worth a visit if you looking for a round of golf.

Proper golf in January no mats no temp greens helpful staff and friendly members would join this course if it was 20 miles closer

Not bad condition for November. Boggy in spots but greens were good. Think £28 is a bit high for the time of year and condition. Played February. Greens were still good but it was plugging a lot. Lost a couple of balls that landed not far off the fairway. Not many places let you play full greens and tees this time of year so fair enough considering the weather

Nice clean clubhouse with friendly helpful staff, didn't really get a look at pro shop. This is a great little course with undulating fairways hiding some monster size bunkers (with good sand in most) and some really well placed, making any golfer think a bit and course management is vital as there are hidden streams and water hazards which are not visible on a few fairways. Greens are good also, and I recommend this course to any average to good golfer, maybe a bit too challenging to a novice.

First time I played this course and I found it a very pleasent well maintained course but very tricky, with some course knowledge I would of shot better. After playing this course around 10 times over the last few months, I decided to come back to this review and add to it. The greens at Hart Common are some of the best I've played, and consistent throughout. Fairways are also very well kept. Some great bunkers well placed. Again this is a tricky course keep it on the fairway and you'll be rewarded.
