Top Gardeners in Andover down, Hampshire

This is our nearest National Trust place to visit. My wife and I normally combine a walk with a visit to the gardens, there are some lovely local walks close by. There is a car parking fee of £4. The gardens are well maintained, though some infrastructure parts have been neglected for a while. For example I’ve not seen the small routed water stream that crosses the path, after the dragons, running for some years. And part of the garden wall has been down for a while- perhaps that is becoming a feature. But overall it’s a lovely garden with several different paths around.
There is a cafe offering food and drinks that is popular. They also have a gift shop and sell some plants. I didn’t see it this last visit, but previously I have also seen afternoon -tea bookings on offer in the Greenhouse.

Hidden gem! The gardens are a real treat for the eyes with all the vibrant flowers and intricate designs. The tea room was a nice touch too, serving up some delicious cakes. Perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon stroll. The staff was friendly, and parking was a breeze

Beautiful gardens, especially as we visited in October and there were still plenty of flowers in bloom.

We spent around 2hrs here including getting a coffee. I think you could spend longer in the summer as there would be more to look at.

Winding paths direct you through the gardens and there was a sculpture exhibition with some interesting pieces.

What a lovely garden, beautiful to walk around, so well maintained. Lovely cafe and gift shop.

Just gardens, you have to pay for parking £4 as privately owned but National Trust members entrance only is free. Pleasant gardens, Lake and tea room. We were a little disappointed though as we were there less than a hour as not much to see.
