Such a great service! Careful, trustworthy, skilled, efficient and reasonable costs. Not only skilled craftsman, Andy has imagination and creativity too. Andy has replaced fencing with trellis, removing a large tree root too - it looks fantastic - and he worked very quickly. He's great with garden work, and has imagination to help resolve problems around the house. We have also used Andy for painting and decoration, putting up blinds, and numerous 'odd jobs'. Highly recommended.

We had an old fence with rotting Arris rails and panels which needed completely replacing. We were very happy with the quote and agreed for Andy to undertake the work. The fence supplied is of good quality and it was erected very efficiently and tidily. The new fence looks great and has made a huge difference to the look (and security) of our garden. We we will certainly be using APS again for other jobs and would highly recommend them.

For us this was a relatively large scale project (a rear extension to create an open plan kitchen and living space) and we were understandably anxious about appointing a builder. After much research online we arranged to see 4 local companies. Open Plan Solutions was the last to been seen and blew the competition out of the water. From the outset it was obvious that we were talking to a company that took great pride in doing things the right way. Andrew made it very clear that communication and an upfront approach was paramount to the way Open Plan operated. On the first day of the build a WhatsApp group was set up giving us direct contact to the team along with a Google Drive account allowing access running costs, receipts and images of the work as it progressed. It became clear from the off that Andrews exacting influence runs through the entire workforce. We continued to live in the house while the work was being carried out and with me working from home the team couldn’t have been more considerate. The site was cleared as much as it could everyday and every effort was made to accommodate our daily routine. We couldn’t have been happier with the level of care and attention to detail, along with the high standard of finish and aftercare – we can’t recommend Open Plan Solutions enough. They’re a fantastic team to work with.

I can't explain how happy I am to recommend Open Plan Solutions. These guys completely blew us away with level of service from a building company. We bought a 3 bed semi house in St Albans that needed a lot of work, both structural and design. In essence we needed everything new for the house, walls knocked down, extension built, bathrooms, kitchen, electrics and plumbing. We'd heard so many nightmare stories of builders working on friends/relatives houses, so we arranged for 7 different builders to come and quote for the works we needed. Andrew (from open plan) was the only person who wasn't coming in from a recommendation, and he was the person we knew we wanted from day one. First of all they are reasonable on price, not cheap but not expensive. They are transparent with EVERYTHING and honest. The explain everything along the way so we know the decisions that needed to be made and allowed us to make an informed decision on what we wanted to do. They were so thorough, they followed the book throughout the build, this both built our confidence in them and their knowledge but also in the quality of the end product. One of the most important things that's easily overseen by builders is communication. Open Plan Solutions well exceeded anything I expected from any building company. We were added to a Whatsapp group for simple communication, emails were frequently sent for important things and a Google drive was set up to share documents and daily site pictures. We didn't live on site, so this meant we knew exactly what was happening along the way without having to continuously turn up to site. They are so polite and efficient, the builders turn up every day at 8, on time and leave at 6, Mon-Sat. My wife and I cannot fault Open Plan Solutions for any of the works they done for us. I would happily recommend them for any residential building works you may require. Their attention to detail, communication, consideration, efficiency and cost.

Wayne did a brilliant job repairing both our bathroom and hallway ceilings which had been affected by a leak. He also mounted a TV on our living room wall - we are so happy with the result. We will definitely be using Wayne’s service again and highly recommend!

We took a chance on Oliver and his team in our first foray into renovating major parts of our home. Oliver and team reworked the kitchen, shower room from top to bottom, joinery under the stairs, flooring, including tiling the porch, laminate flooring hallway to the kitchen, took one wall down and put another one up; all under just one month. Their standard of work is extremely high, they were professional and efficient in every aspect of the job. Anything that needed to be changed from the original plan, Oliver communicated clearly and problem solved quickly. He listened and delivered on all our creative ideas and brought them to life beautifully. Both Oliver and Kris showed great workmanship in every part of our home they worked on. It's evident in the finishing that they are experienced and work very hard. I can't recommend them enough!

Oliver and Chris turned up at 8.00 am on the dot every morning and worked through untill 5pm every day. They were considerate and happy to discuss any changes of the original plan. Oliver supplied invoices at every stage. I had the toilet and bathroom wall taken out and knocked into one to make it more accesibl for my elderly mother The bathroom was tiled and the sink moved.The new shower was then installed. Oliver even found a window fan to replace the old one so that I didn't need to have a new window. Finally a new radiator and electric and electric heater were installed to make sure mum would be cosy and warm when in the bathroom. The old door to the toilet was removed and a new wall put in its place. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Oliver building services and he will be my 'go to' builder for work in the future. Well what can I say….. this amazing company literally saved the day when my key was completely jammed in my front door and I didn’t no what to do, they was working on a house opposite and very kindly offered to help me they was amazing, offering to fit me a new lock and spending time trying to get the key out! but most of all what lovely honest guys, they come back the next day I was thinking to fit a new lock but instead they told me I didn’t need a new lock they had looked in to it and it just needed realignment and should work perfectly, and he would do it for me with no charge! As not a big job, not many honest people around these days but I can’t recommend this company enough really helped a lady in distress, friendly efficient honest reliable guys!
