I always leave an empty star for potential improvement ( even if I don't know what the improvement might be 😂). It was lovely . Only had coffee and cake but it was lovely . Good service with a smile 🙂. The sort of place that makes you think all is well with the world . Thank you . Now I visit there regularly I have to give it 5 stars across the board . Lovely, cheerful, happy people in there 🌞. The adjacent shop is lovely too .
Had a fabulous afternoon tea today, Paradise for cake lovers! Had a call from the teashop in the morning asking which sandwich fillings we would prefer. Excellent being able to choose. Arrived with a table set with a crisp linen tablecloth, pretty crockery and fancy napkin. Coffees ordered, followed by a tray of sandwiches and sausage rolls. Vegetarian option available as well. Followed by a deliciously light scone with cream and jam and two plates of delicious cakes. Profiterole was yummy, as was the muffin and fruit tart. Had to box the remainder to take home. Thank you to the staff, was an excellent afternoon
The tea room is in an old building with wood beams and is quite charming. On offer are rolls,baguettes,panini's jacket potatoes etc. you can order afternoon tea or have cream teas. They have a lovely selection of cakes and also cheesecakes. Probably ces are a little on the high side but portions are generous. A pot of tea is currently £2.90 and most coffees are around £4. A tuna mayo baguette is £6.93 but is large with lots of filling and comes with crisps and a nice side salad There is free parking but note the road is a bit lumpy with pot holes. Overall it's a pleasant tea room, the staff are all friendly and your food is made fresh upon ordering.
What a lovely tea room! I came alone and sat outside. The staff greeted me warmly. The sponge cake was fresh and delicious. Thank you for having me.
