Absolutely delicious, Fresh and authentic Turkish food. We ordered Sultan Platter which included Lamb Ribs, Chicken Wings, Lamb Chops, Adana Kofte, Chicken Beyti, Lamb Shish, Chicken Shish. They also served complimentary bread, salad, mixed Doner, Turkish tea and Turkish delight. All the meat items were cooked to perfection, very juicy and tender. Salad and bread were fresh and tasty. Humus, Kisir Aubergine, Cacik were also taste good. Highly recommended if you’re looking for Turkish food in east London.

We went to Sultan to Celebrate my daughter & son inlaws recent house purchase in Ilford. The restaurant is a traditional Turkish restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious, service was excellent and the atmosphere was cosy. The prices were also very affordable. Highly recommended.

➕Impeccable cuisine, ➕outstanding service, and ➕remarkably affordable prices! I have dined at numerous excellent Turkish restaurants, but I cannot remember any of them which had all these aspects in such a good way. From the outset, the warm welcome from hostess lady set a positive tone. Although the restaurant was busy, she quickly found us a seat and placed us there. The ambiance was delightful, and the efficient service from the well-staffed team ensured that there were plenty of smiles all around. After first visit we used to come there more and more. Now, regarding the food: we were treated to complimentary starters of bread and a delightful meze, which set a high standard. The main course, a mixed grill, truly enhanced the overall experience. Each piece of chicken and lamb shish was cooked to perfection, and ➕any kind of meat was very juicy and unforgettable taste, ➕the salad was included to any dish without charges, ➕the bread which is very tasty and fresh and warm was also without charges, ➕homemade souses as well were free, the kofte was free of undesirable bits, and the accompanying sauces complemented the rice as it should in an Anatolian grill. This was an unforgettable dining experience! To top it off, we were served complimentary Turkish tea and Turkish delight, and then we were astonished by the bill—under £25. We were convinced there had been a mistake and that they had overlooked charging for something. Even after settling the bill and leaving a tip that reflected the exceptional service, we still felt we had not paid enough. This is the most perplexing aspect of the entire experience: how can something so remarkable be so incredibly affordable? Given the size of the restaurant, the employment of top-quality staff, and the use of premium ingredients, it seems miraculous that they can maintain such low prices. When all is considered, this is the finest dining experience we have ever had. Five stars hardly captures how outstanding it was. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Adana Ilford

510 High Rd, Seven Kings, Ilford IG1 1UE, UK | Turkish Restaurant
P: 020 3784 9313

Rating: 4.4 (621) Price Level:

A great take on Turkish food with a South Asian twist. Usually fusion food leads to competing flavours, but Adana has achieved something great here. The favour when ordering spicy variants tastes natural - as if the spice was a part of the original recipe. Great service, as well, throwing in a few starts whilst waiting for the main dish.

Hidden Gem! Had an amazing dining experience at the lounge area. The food was fresh, succulent with a fusion twist. The best Turkish fusion. I highly recommend the chicken wings platter and the lamb chops. The service was excellent. Will definitely come back. The manager accommodated us with our last minute booking. The lounge was perfect for our big family and privacy. Food and service was delightful!

Came here last night after seeing good reviews and needing somewhere to eat last minute. The main thing to remember here is that it isn't an authentic Turkish place, they have a twist which is South Asian. We purchased the first 40 pound platter shown on the menu to share between two adults and a child, we had enough left over to have as lunch the next day. Flavours were really nice, a bit more spicy than traditionally used in turkish food but, the place is popular. We arrived around 6 to an empty place and by 6.30, every table was filled. My favorite thing was the spicy bread given as a starter. It was divine! The ribs had more fat than meat but overall, everything was nice. It would have been nice to have been offered some complimentary Turkish tea etc at the end and the salad at the beginning was a bit lacklustre. Service is really nice. They're very good with children. Overall, a nice place and would recommend with the above things mentioned.

Ordered the sharing item. £40. But when the food came felt like overpriced. But food tasted great. Went on weekends so pretty busy and had to sit down first in the backroom where from its nearby window smoke smell was coming and it was cold in there. Which made us request them to give a seat to the other room.

I been come here for so many years with my friends and family. I have been to many fine dinning places in different countries and have food business myself. But hands down this place’s food is so good- all freshly made that you can tell in very bite. Even their bread is freshly made with some sauce on top (highly recommend their home made chilly sauce) We got the platter for 2 on the menu and it’s so much food with drinks included. What stands out even more is their hospitality the staff are so friendly especially Adnan bhai, I always recommend them to my friends & family. The atmosphere is so friendly & welcoming 10/10!

I visited Sahara Grill Gants Hill for a dinner with my partner. It was a lovely and scrumptious dinner with lovely drinks. I ordered the Mex Border burger which was tantalising on the tastebuds and my partner ordered a succulent ribeye steak with picante sauce. We were served by a lovely waiter by the name of Nazrul,, was extremely well mannered and welcoming.

Food was delicious and portions of the sharing platters comfortably accommodated three adults and two children. We had the buffalo wings, the sauce was spicy and piquant, really delicious. We also had the saute combo sharing platter and beef fajitas. Salaam cola was also on the menu, so of course we grabbed the opportunity to have an ethical cola. We were also given a complimentary house chilli sauce. Which was hot and delicious a great accompaniment to the dishes. Bathrooms were pleasant and clean (always a big plus), the hand soap was attached a bit low but we managed to use it fine. Last but not least, service was amazing, Nazrul was kind and pleasant, he went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. The main attraction for the kids was the robot waiter which bought the dishes to the table, she spoke and got annoyed when other customers stood in her way! All in all we left stuffed and happy.

I visited with my wife and kids today and it's a perfect place to eat for family and freinds. All staff were very attentive especially the front of house staff member who was extremely welcoming. I had the Angus beef short ribs as my main and it was delicious. Very tender and flavoured perfectly. My son really liked the gravy and sauces that accompanied the dishes. Will definitely be coming again.

The staff of the restaurant are so friendly and came personally to welcome and speak to us. One more thing I noticed the service was quick compared to other well known restaurants in London. Would definitely recommend it for anyone interested in great quality food and quick friendly service.

I recently visited Franzos Ilford and enjoyed their deliciously tender grilled chicken. The seating layout was comfortable, and the meal prices were reasonable. However, the service could use improvement—no greeting on arrival, and the staff, especially at the till, could be more attentive and friendly. With better customer service, this place could really shine.

Enjoy visiting this place for its comfortable decor offering a vibrant dining experience. The food has a unique traditional flavours inspired with a contemporary twist in their Indian cuisines. I’m usually a critic when it comes to food, but I have to be honest , this place is real good, my first time but deffo not last, the quality of ingredients is top notch, food is tasty, excellent modern Indian restaurant that is worth every penny! Service was a little miss but that’s because of very busy on a Tuesday, so maybe have a bit more staff/servers if super busy. But being busy on Tuesday tells you a story, right. We will be going again and again and again……! Oh and the Sebastian cheesecake actually slaps 👍🏻👍🏻

Rating: 4 (2117) Price Level:

I always wanted to go somewhere and try a bit of everything. A bit like a tapas but a South Asian version. This place was exactly the thing I was looking for. The flavours and the quality are really good. Everything we ordered was cooked very well and came out in a timely manner. The chicken lollipop are a must if you're into you fried chicken. I recommend the saucy over the dry. The baklava sandwich is also very good The service was great and the atmosphere was bustling (but in a good way) as it's open and spacious. The cost of the food is on par with other restaurants. Kid friendly as they have high chairs. There's a car park nearby. I would highly recommend this place

I recently visited Saffron Street to celebrate my friend birthday, and overall, it was a delightful experience! The ambiance was fantastic, with a lively yet relaxed vibe that set the perfect mood for a special occasion. It was clear that the restaurant put a lot of thought into creating an inviting atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing! Each dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. From appetizers to dessert, everything was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The service was also top-notch. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and ensured we were well taken care of throughout the evening. Their warm hospitality truly added to the overall experience. However, despite having made an advance booking, we had to wait around 40 minutes to be seated. This was a bit frustrating, especially for a planned celebration. I would suggest that Saffron Street review their reservation and seating process to avoid such delays, as it would greatly improve the overall dining experience.

Very busy on Saturday night. There was 8 of us and we had booked a table but it seemed they were struggling to get people out who had finished their food so people waiting could sit down. The food came fairly quick which was good and the food was alright, a some items such as the lamb curry were quite spicy which overpowered the flavour. Biryani was good and service was also good, however i think the management is in rush to get people in and out quick to clear tables for the many people congregating by the front door

Really tasty pure vegetarian meals in a comfy place. Prices per item are reasonable. Whilst there is a wide variety from the menu to choose from, i always go back for the good old favourites of mine...masala dosa and chilli pander and gobi 65. The jug of mango lassi is so satisfying 😌 We sat chatting away beyond the average 2-hour time slot that other restaurants impose. That is definitely a plus for this very popular chain of restaurants. We left feeling full and very satisfied.

Really loved the vibe of this place. It was my first time at an exclusively vegetarian restaurant. After going through the extensive menu, settled for a masala dosa. The free chutney refill was a pleasant treat. Ordered a pina colada which I felt had too much pineapple. Needed more coconut milk in it. The service was good and didn’t have to wait long for food. Will be visiting again to try more dishes.

I recommend the Spiced Hot Chocolate, and the Cha Sha blend. We’ve also had the samosa chaat and it was really good (it has a yummy mint base which is a change from the average on Ilford lane). We come here often with friends and honestly, it’s a really lovely and comfortable place. They do a lovely range of mojitos and desserts also, definitely recommend! 👍
