Joe and his colleagues did the electrical work and plumbing on our houses renovation. The electrical work carried out (mainly) by Aaron and his trusty assistant Billy is superb. Aaron is extremely methodical in his approach and it shows with the end result. We also had a mini wet room built. The end result is stunning. The tiling and the tanking beneath the tiling was done to an extremely high standard. The tiler Steve is a lovely chap and again, extremely methodical in his approach. Towards the end of the project the final bits of plumbing were completed by plumber Aaron and John. Again the work was to a high standard and it was a pleasure having them in our home. We would definitely recommend using Joe and his team and we will be next spring for the other bathroom to be renovated. Thanks Joe and team. Andy and Lisa. Also I think itโs wonderful that Joe takes on apprentices, to train the next generation of electricians.

A job well done. We are very happy to recommend Joe Newton Ltd. for plumbing and electrical work, especially as they did a very clean job, with no mess to clear up.

We've been super-happy with Joe and his colleagues. Highly recommended. We discoevered Joe through a previous small job at our colttage where they were sub-contracted by our builder. This week, they replaced a whole lot of ageing night-storage heaters with modern, programmable radiators at our rather old and crumbly cottage in Dorset. Joe gave great advice, answering every email really quickly. We were away when they did the job over a couple of days. We returned to find everything completed absolutely perfectly. The cabling from our meter was rewired as needed. Everything just right. New radiators installed, firmly fixed to our walls of various weird and historic materials. Other than the radiators being installed, we wouldn't have known they'd been here! The heavy old contraptions full of grime and bricks had been dismantled and taken away without any fuss, or dust. Through no fault of theirs, one of the new radiators had a little fault. They responded instantly and had sourced and installed a new one within 24 hours. Unbelievable! Everything friendly, cheerful, efficient, responsive and charged exactly the price agreed in advance. We are very happy (and warm!) bunnies indeed. Thank you Joe and Mark! All the best, Jon (Dorset DT2)

Absolutely delighted to experience the food at Seagulls for our first dinner in West Bay. Traditional cuisine, expertly prepared. We chose Baked Hake special main course which was delicious with amazing Dorset Crab soup and deep fried Squid as starters and Bread & Butter pudding and Lemon Posset for desserts. All freshly prepared and well worth the price of ยฃ85 for two. Don't hesitate to book if you get the chance. NB Seasonal closure November to February.

Seagulls restaurant is the best place to eat in West Bay in our opinion. The food is consistently amazing and the service is great! I had the Thai green curry and home made bread and butter pudding. I canโt wait to go back and have it again! I have tried several things on the menu and they have all been wonderful!

I came to Bridport to meet friends who lived not too far from here to have a catch up and a meal. The pub itself is decorated with lots of bits and pieces of memorabilia, a lot of it related to sports, and has a cosy feeling inside. We had fish and chips for lunch, pleasantly surprised with the size of the fish, which tasted good too, and the chips were nice and fluffy on the inside but crispy on the outside. Mushy peas were pretty good too. All in all it was a really good portion size. Good selection of drinks on offer, I had the Dorset Gold cider which was a nice change from lager which I normally drink.

It's always a pleasure.... shame they don't serve food all day as I'm sure they could continue filling the seats but I fully understand people need time off! Great atmosphere and lots of local memorabilia

A place to go when you have your four legged friend with you. Try The Trawlermens Platter you will not be disappointed.

Excellent food. I am a meat lover and was sceptical but the bubble and squeak with fried eggs was delicious. Really friendly staff, very reasonably priced. You really should eat here!!

My boyfriend and I have come to the local area for a couple of days as today is his birthday- this wonderful shop offered lots of beautiful and unusual wonders to view and buy. We had lunch in the cafe.. we had soup of the day, woodland oyster mushrooms with spinach on sourdough toast, tostada con tomate, mocha walnut cake, Victoria sponge- and shared the lot- it was fresh delicious and I would definitely come back again! There were lots of choices for hot and cold drinks too. Service was second to none.

The best roast I've ever eaten at a restaurant. Beautifully presented, perfectly cooked roast pork.
Rating: 5 / 5
Absolutely amazing roast and Iโve eaten a lot of roasts!! Huge portions and the meal included cauliflower cheese at no extra cost. Lovely pub garden in a beautiful little village. Golden Cap on a nearby so Iโd recommend a long walk along the gorgeous Jurassic coast followed by a roast at this gem of a pub

A fantastic pub, clean, friendly, lovely atmosphere. The garden is sheltered with plenty of seating. Dog friendly. Booking is reccomendationed. The menu is varied with plenty of choice for all dietary requirements. Along with sharing platters. The staff are attentive and friendly. The pub is historical. The old post office has been integrated into the front lounge area. If you love your Sunday lunch, book early as you won't get a seat.

Went there today with my mum and dad, mum said her brie, bacon and cranberry baguette was the BEST she has ever had with lovely warm brie (and that woman has tried many). Dad had the roast beef and horseradish baguette and also said it was a 10/10. Also got a tuna baguette which was fab, couldโve had a pinch more mayo but great nonetheless! Friendly service with good value for money. Cakes looked good too! Could put a couple of small tables outside but no complaints ๐

Great food. The homemade cheddar and onion tart was lovely. The beef and horseradish baguette was freshly made and the horseradish sauce had the right level of bite to it. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

A popular local cafe, highly recommend the flapjacks (huge!). Accept both card and cash. Takeaway coffees seemed a popular order for the locals. Staff were efficient and friendly. Regularly pop in here when visiting Dorset.

Very rarely write reviews but I just had to say what an amazing lunch Iโve just enjoyed. Feeling the need to treat myself I bought a roast beef and horseradish sandwich and a piece of Bakewell cake. The beef was slightly rare (just how it should be) and just melted in the mouth, it was a very full sandwich. The cake was moist and absolutely delicious. ยฃ9 for the two items for the amount and quality was very good value. This deli is exactly why I like to support independent shops. Thank you for making my lunch time treat exceptional.

Me and my girlfriend came here for a dinner and had a great time. The food was amazing, the drinks somehow tasted better than other pubs I've been to and service was brilliant. We were served by an Australian girl and her partner and they were really lovely!

The location is absolutely stunning, with Golden Cap behind and a view down to the Isle of Portland. This place really is a treat, service is excellent but, it can get very, very busy and you may have to wait for seating. It is on the pricey side too, so as I said, it's a treat. Ask for extra salt on the Padron peppers and you won't be disappointed. Beers were in good condition. A great place to while away a warm summer's evening.

We came for a roast dinner on a rainy Sunday. The service was incredible. The food was delicious. The only problem was the portion size - barely enough meat on the plate to make a sandwich let alone a Sunday roast. Otherwise all good.

A good restaurant in a great location ! Market fish was the best choice on the menu! Extremely fresh and perfectly cooked, accompanied by fennel and good buttered bread. I must say I was a little disappointed with the bouillabaisse... A bit coarse for my French-educated palate... And the apple cake was as beautiful as amber but not very subtle and not rich enough in apples for my taste. The staff were extremely friendly, polite, smiling and efficient. Impeccable hygiene and one of the nicest toilets (perhaps not what you'd expect from a restaurant review, but how important it is! Particularly when you're on the road a lot, it's important that the place where you stop offers comfort in this respect too, and even better with a touch of aesthetics. I highly recomand ๐ฉต
