The Smokehouse in Broadstairs. This little restaurant has been taken over by Vince, an enthusiastic and passionate owner. He’s welcoming and can’t do enough. I called several weeks ago to book a table for my family and in particular my daughter whose birthday it was. He asked how I has heard about them, and I explained that about 3 years ago we went there, again for my daughters birthday, where we had a super time, great food and nice staff. So when he told me he had just taken it over, and hoped we would have just as good a time as the previous occasion, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. We arrived at the designated time, to a warm welcome and shown to our table. Vince came to take the drinks order and offered a plethora of various types of gin along with many types of tonic….who knew there were so many types! The drinks came along with the food menu. We sat for some time perusing the menu, and decided on our dinners. Wendy, our waitress took our orders and we chatted between ourselves for a little while, when the starters arrived. 2 Prawn cocktails, 1 shell on prawns with a delicious chilli sauce and 1 deep fried mozzarella balls with a chilli dip, and grilled halloumi cheese with sweet chilli dip, all plates cleared and 4 happy customers. There was silence as we ‘hmmmed’ and sighed with each mouthful. There was never a long wait between courses, so when the mains arrived we all tucked in. 1 rare ribeye, 1 medium ribeye, 1 pulled pork burger and 1 smokehouse beef burger, along with the sides, which included 3 portions of chunky chips and 1 bacon and herb croquet, out of everything there the side dish that stood out was the onion rings, thin, crispy and the batter was so fine, these are a must!!! Again we all ate up and enjoyed the food. Don’t change the butcher, the ribeye was sooo tender, tasty and beautifully cooked. We weren’t sure wether a pudding was in order, but it was my girls birthday, so we made room on the waist bands!!! 1 profiteroles (yummmeee) 1 sticky toffee pudding with custard, 1 chocolate brownie cake with ice cream and 1 millionaire shortcake with ice cream. Needless to say, after all that, there were 4 full and happy ladies, I asked each of my girls what mark they would offer if asked. With no hesitation it was 4 nines. Just a few tweaks here and there and you’ll get a full house. Considering you have been open for a matter of weeks…bravo👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thank you Vince and staff, a lovely evening was had by all. Ps, the atmosphere was nice but too much chat from a large table of lads about football, who knew there was 3 hours of it to listen to? ,

My friends and I came here for my birthday and I couldn't ask for a better meal. The staff were amazing and the food was just as good. Would highly recommend to anyone when you're in Broadstairs. The free birthday lemon meringue pie was a bonus

Myself, my partner and my daughter had the most amazing meal here Friday. The fillet steak was SOO good! The prawns I had were the best I’ve had in a long time. We had a lovely chat with Vincent the owner he couldn’t have done more for us! Even the meats and fish are locally sourced from the best best butchers and fishmongers, you could tell too. Couldn’t recommend this place enough! Reasonably priced so it makes it family friendly, Will definitely be coming back.

I decided to book a table in advance, just to be safe, especially after reading the reviews! Gotta say that all the food was absolutely delicious but for me, from the sharing platter, the corn on the cob, that looked like ribs, were top notch. The texture and rub was extremely moreish and something completely new. We had Ribeye, Pulled Pork Burger and Grilled Fillet of Salmon with King Prawns for mains. The owner Vince was extremely polite, informative and enthusiastic for his food and if we're in the area again, we'll definitely be back for more!

Their small plates concept allowed us to share and try a bit of everything, which made the experience even better. The seafood was incredibly fresh and locally sourced, and you can tell each dish was thoughtfully prepared. The staff were super friendly and made great recommendations that really enhanced our meal.

We went here for a special dinner and wow was it special. Every dish was amazing. The decor was beautiful and the service was on point. Great recommendations along the way! Favourite was the seabass, croquettes and the mini doughnuts! Special shout-out to the beauty of the tomato salad :) And the wine was delicious - Volatil Thank you!

Lovely tapas. An exceptional place. Some dishes were extremely salty such as the fish but other wise we are extremely happy that we tried this place. Lemon parfait dessert was out of this world! Can't wait to come back again.

Their warm hospitality made us feel right at home. Delightful Sunday Roast Experience 🍽️ We dined on a Sunday and enjoyed the special Sunday roast menu. The trout and oysters starters were exquisite, and the main course fish dish with sides was simply delicious. Knowledgeable and Patient Hosts 🥂 Our host was incredibly patient, explaining the setup, concept, and menu in detail. We loved every bit of it, and the food was truly to die for. A Must-Visit Destination 🌟 For stunning views, exceptional service, and mouth-watering food, Twenty Seven Harbour Street in Broadstairs is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Visited for lunch. The wine list was good and included some local wines. Small plates were all very good. The burrata was particularly good, really vibrant flavours. Great setting right at the beach. Dog and child friendly.

We regularly pop down to Smith’s for a coffee and a bagel or toastie. Today we tried their new dish with the pesto, fresh tomatoes, balsamic glaze on toasted sourdough and I have to say it was absolutely wonderful! We even treated ourselves to extra streaky bacon today. The team there are kind, the coffee is fantastic so much so that we have their beans in our machine at the office. Happy to recommend this wonderful healthy establishment to all of our guests!

Truly delicious. I had the kimchi avo on toast and a hot toastie (on separate days). The coffee's good, the people are a delight. Definitely worth a visit when in Broadstairs. I didn't look for vegan options but the vegetarian selection was solid (as you'd expect)

Walked from Ramsgate to Broadstairs along the beach and found this quaint little tea shop, had a cream tea, bakewell tart and another drink and all for just over £9 - great value and the bakewell tart slice would have fed two people! Delicious and excellent service with a smile.

Enjoyed brunch before leaving Broadstairs. I really enjoyed my cheese scone and we bought cake to have later in the day. Note there are no toilets, need to use the nearby hotel (who are very accommodating)

What a lovely little tea room and bakehouse. When in Broadstairs we always come here for breakfast. The food is freshly prepared and is always tasty. Really lovely owner and staff. And they always remember our Westie Edward. Highly recommended.

Julius provided a professional service from the first point of contact through to the completion of the electrical work in our kitchen. He responded quickly to our initial enquiry and assessed the work to be done. This was carried out the following week on a mutually convenient day and there were no hidden costs. Julius was punctual, approachable, knowledgeable and efficient. We will definitely be asking him to carry out additional electrical work for us and are very happy to recommend him.

I contacted Chris after reading online reviews and am extremely pleased that I did. If you want good quality work carried out cleanly and conscientiously then I can thoroughly recommend Chris and his brother Cameron. My house needed a great deal of work done but at every stage they checked with me what I would prefer in terms of the various options. Nothing is too small or too much trouble for them, their work is excellent and all done for a very good price indeed. It is such a relief to find workmen who are polite and personable and who you feel you can 100% trust in your home. They are really terrific workmen and if you need any electrical work done in the Thanet area then look no further – I thoroughly recommend Chris James Electrical.

Chris and Cameron did a fantastic job fully rewiring our kitchen renovation in Ramsgate and most recently installing some new lights and plug sockets. They work quickly with complete care and consideration for the home around them and leave no mess once finished. The best thing about them is they are kind, honest about the job and trustworthy. I wouldn't use anyone else.

We have over the last few years received fantastic service from Chris, he has completed wiring, smoke detectors, and changing and rewiring and replacing lighting. He is always prompt, polite, and does a fantastic job at a very fair price. Chris consults through all stages of work and checks that you are happy with all work carried out. We left the gym and overheard someone mention about “smoked” in Broadstairs and thought lets go and try it. Had a great breakfast, had to try the American 🇺🇸 breakfast and Gemma had the English 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Breakfast. A great experience and a definitely a guest recommendation that we will add to our website.

We had some birthday celebrations in smoked last night. Food was unbelievable such good quality and tasty. Very quick service very nice staff and very social with friends. Highly recommend and we’ll be returning soon to taste more of the menu.

LOVE LOVE LOVE - My partner and I visited out of town and we stopped here for dinner. The waitress was very helpful, attentive and friendly. When the food was ready, the chef brought out the TRAYS himself. Huuuuge portions for great prices. Also - you can bring your own alcohol (for now) which is even better! I got the full rack of ribs with chips, and my partner got the "Load em ups" jerk chicken on nachos Little hint - if you like spicy food, try and speak to the staff about a hot sauce. The chef discussed it is one of the hottest and offered a sample. My partner later described this scotch bonnet puree as the hottest sauce he has ever tried. Great service, great vibes, great food!!! Thank you - we will come back to you if we visit again!

So I've had a lot of BBQ/Smoke style BBQ, and I can honestly say Smoked have made a great effort. We both had burgers on this visit, slightly messy 🤣 but very nice. The staff are great and the music, very nostalgic to the 80s 🤣, loved it. Will we return, yep when we pop back to Broadstairs.

Visited today was friendly and welcoming althought was little on the cold side in there so had to leave my coat on. We was the only ones in there so food was quickly out chips were full of favour really tasty can't fault the food cooked and served well. just benches were a little narrow to sit on. Would come again in the evening with out the kids next time but it was nice to try something different. Would recommend to other to visit.

We had a very tasty two dishes. Sizzling sea food dish and a hot red curry with duck. As side dishes we had jasmine rice and coconut rice which was a sweet dish. They made the red curry dish very hot as requested. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

We went for a lovely walk and visited this on our half way mark. My son went for the chips. These were by far the best chips ever!! I am trying to be a bit health conscious so I went for the tuna salad. Plenty of tuna and salad, it was lovely and refreshing. My friend went for a Greek salad which looked so colourful and she said tasted delicious. We will absolutely be going back to try out other dishes.

Recently had a birthday gathering at the beach. There were quite a few of us and we were ordering lots of toasties and chips and drinks throughout the afternoon. The staff were amazing, efficient, friendly and helpful. Food was cooked freshly for each order and tasty. Thanks Louisa Bay café!
