Played a practice round and tournament round. A historic course with classical holes. Well balanced 9's with sensible elevation changes.

A cracking golf course. Massive greens. Many long par 4's offer up a stiff challenge, but always rewarding. Lovely clubhouse, and tidy pro shop. Made for an excellent MacKenzie double bill with nearby Alwoodley.

Came with my society and really enjoyed it. Course played really well considering the amount of rain we have had. Greens were true and quick! Only negative is there was no catering at the time. Well worth a visit though. Will be bringing the society back in future.

Waterton Park Golf Club

Rating: 4.6 (252) Price Level:

This is a fantastic course that is available at a great place for it's quality. I genuinely think it's offering the sort of golf course for a normal price that others around Yorkshire are charging double. It's a great course layout, really enjoyable challenge and nicely set around the lake. It's got a great driving range to warm up on too.

Fantastic layout in great condition. There are lots of interesting holes that provide a good challenge for all levels of golfers. The greens were best the best we have played this year and we have been to some prestigious courses. It is also set within the grounds of a nature reserve with great views on many holes. Great practice facilities to warm up including a covered driving range and the halfway house was open on Wednesday when we played. Great value at Β£40 for a top quality round of golf.

Absolutely love this place, my daughter has had both group and individual lessons which she loved and really helped her game. The staff are so friendly and the food is amazing in the clubhouse. Will definately be continuing the lessons here.

A thoroughly pleasant course. Some really challenging holes that require you to think your way down the short stuff. Novice golfers shouldn't be put off, as it is forgiving in many places. Not the longest (just under 6000 off the yellow tees. Great clubhouse with a small but adequate menu for the post game feeding.

It has been some years since I last visited Leeds Golf Centre. I was very impressed with the warm welcome of the staff and enjoyed the range facilities, playing acround of virtual golf at St Andrews.

My favourite course, it's got everything from a putting green, driving range, pitching . Nice bar area with friendly staff and a great pro shop also with friendly welcoming staff, a few soggy fairways (to be expected with the weather) but all in all a great day for me and my sons

Great golf course for beginners - intermediate. 14-18 holes. Challenging enough for a good game without being too tiring. Great local pub round the corner too to finish off the round.

Perfect for a relaxing afternoon round surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Usually nice and quiet after 3pm if you don't want the pressure of groups behind you.

Great course, always nice and welcoming. Really good value for 14 holes, you can do the first 4 again to make 18. Shop on site is well stocked with everything you need

The course is a lot better. No food, just tea's and coffee. Toasted teacake, drinks, and snacks. It's a 14-hole course, but you can do the first 4 to make up 18 or an option to do just 9 holes. We played today, and it has dried out a lot.

If you’re a bit new to golf or just fancy a quick game this place is ideal. Big car park thats free. They also rent clubs if you don’t have any. I have been a good few times at different times of the year. In the winter months it does get a bit wet in some of the greens but for how cheap it is you cannot whinge. Also ideal to take juniors to learn on.

Great place for a nice quick game of golf, it has really reasonable prices, the course itself is not that big but it’s perfect for me who’s just starting out playing golf with my wife. They also have golf carts you can borrow for a pound. Just like every golf course in the world this golf course is best played in the sun shine, afterwards you can also pop in to goals for a well earned pint 😁

A great place to have fun with your friends and exercise at the same time!! There is an entrance fee but is low as 5Β£! Open space plenty of green!!

A great place to practice for very little cash. Obviously its not a championship course for Β£5 a go but it is definitely good value for a quick round if you are a beginner. Some challenging holes and lots of easy ones. A few greens in poor condition but that's probably due to the weather. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent golf course to play, provides a good challenge to all! Staff are very friendly, make members and guests feel equally as welcome. I've made use of the tuition with head pro Lewis Clarke, both indoor simulator and on course lessons. In a short period of time Lewis has helped me to build a better understanding of my golf swing, build a better approach to practice and playing, ultimately lowering my handicap!

Good golf course with 27 holes. Green was not well maintained making putts quite frustrating. But other than that, such as customer service, was good!

Played as part of a large visiting party on friday 27th sept 2024 and what an experience. Members and staff couldnt have been more welcoming. As for the course it was superb. Tee boxes fairways and greens were in fantastic condition. The course has 27 holes with many memorable ones. A word of warning if you look at the scorecard it doesnt seem to long but its monstrous off the white tees (which we played off) because of the undulating fairways. On a final note the food was first class. Highly recommend

Had a good day here on Seniors Day. 27 hole course. Big thank you to Saul in the pro shop for his help and patience with explaining the card and where we get our shots. A bit confusing because there are three 9 holes courses with 1-9 strokes on each 9. The course was in excellent condition. I was very happy with my game but struggled on the difficult greens. (Used to flater slower greens πŸ˜…) we played the lakes course which is hole 1 to 18. The weather was amazing but very hot πŸ₯΅πŸ˜«πŸ˜…. Great day and looking forward to playing here again.

I booked a society day for work (32 people) at Moor Allerton in July. The staff were incredibly helpful, Alison could not have done more to create the day for us, from assisting with prizes to running around on the day. Junior and his staff were excellent in the bar making a great BBQ. Then George in the pro shop helping with tee times (some slow play) and getting markers out for our competitions. Couldn't recommend more!

Great good club at the top of the park. There’s a beautiful rose garden where family can relax on the grass, picnic and play or sit at the picnic tables relaxing, eating and enjoying taking in your beautiful surroundings. The park leads down through the woods to the leeds - Liverpool canal with breathtaking views and beautiful walks. There’s a lively little play park that never gets too crowded and parking on the roadside. The for the most part Gotts Park can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone wether using buggy’s, bikes or wheelchairs. Dog friendly park with plenty off poop bins I place to help keep the park free of dog mess

La Palmera restaurant. One of my favourites!

I like the course it's fairly quick to get around and offers 9 and 18 holes. A good variety of 5 and 4 pars where you could opt for driver, also a good spread of holes where iron play required and a variety of difficulty. Only reason why not 5 stars is that the greens can often be covered in weeds and water logged in places. Its fantastic for quick practice rounds for beginners.

Good value and not a bad course at all. Have played the front nine most recently and found this enjoyably challenging with some interesting fairways and greens - slightly less so the back nine which I played first a few weeks ago. Conditions were good on both occasions and the course well maintained.

Greens are pretty fast, but it's a decent challenge of a course. I've played both my best 18 and worst 18 on this course. Would get 5 stars but unfortunately a few Greens have damage on them, which I understand is out of the groundskeepers hands as it's due to nobheads on dirt bikes, but it does ruin a few holes.
