Greens are in great condition thank you

Played in a friendly at Meltham tonight after playing Ryburn yesterday and ahead of Halifax Bradley Hall which I go to tomorrow. I promised myself I'd review every course I play this week as I'm all over West Yorkshire but this course will not be beaten. Its condition has to be the best I've seen of any course this year. The greens are true and the fairways are lush. I didn't go in any bunkers but they made each hole picturesque and looked perfect. Rakes everywhere and ball retrievers placed where they were needed. I had a two course meal after and my understanding is they have a new head chef who is on a trial shift at this moment in time. To serve 32 Golfers all at the same time is a baptism of fire and anyone who has worked in the catering industry knows that. Sorry Meltham but he's hired!!! Food was 10/10 and the sticky toffee pudding was amazing. Thank you for such amazing hospitality. I will be back !

We chose to use Meltham golf club for our mums wake after recommendation from Birks. We were very happy with the room, which was bright and set out lovely. The food we chose from the menu was exceptional and everyone commented on how nice it was. Would highly recommend Meltham Golf Club. Thank you

First time I have plaid at Meltham. What a fantastically well kept course. I've never seen T boxes so green and carpet like. Fantastic greens and fairways too. The last few holes are definitely challenging. We'll worth trying out

In the context of the weather this year, the greens are so good, almost like velvet. The rough this year has grown so heavily the staff should be commended for their efforts in keeping it under control. Richard Brooker. Member

I'm a member, so slightly biased. Great course, good clubhouse, great people. What's not to like?

Played here on 07/01 and despite the weather we had you would think we were in spring the course was in such good condition. One of the best courses i have played. From ringing up to booking it and turning up to see Alex in the pro shop when we arrived the whole experience was incredible Cant wait to go back

First time at Huddersfield Golf Club and was really impressed. Course built within the grounds of Fixby Hall, which doubles as clubhouse and events venue. Elevation changes on every hole makes it pretty dramatic. Views of Huddersfield and surrounding area when you get onto the 11th tee. Course had been closed previous day due to rain, but there was no evidence of that apart from the greens were running a little slow. Some monster par 4s, including the 1st at 465 yards off the yellows tees. Plenty of bunkering and undulating greens make it a real, but enjoyable challenge.

This is has been my home club for the last 12 yrs or so. Fantastic golf course. Even through this dry spell the greens are some of the best in this area. Friendly staff always makes you feel welcomed to the club Come & try yourself out against the course. You'll love it😃🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️⛳

Such a lovely afternoon.

Fantastic layout in great condition. There are lots of interesting holes that provide a good challenge for all levels of golfers. The greens were best the best we have played this year and we have been to some prestigious courses. It is also set within the grounds of a nature reserve with great views on many holes. Great practice facilities to warm up including a covered driving range and the halfway house was open on Wednesday when we played. Great value at £40 for a top quality round of golf.

A beautifully presented course with superb holes. A great test of fitness and golf.

Lovely golf course - greens are very fast and a change from my usual in Vietnam. Played for 20 gbp and had a lovely pint afterwards outside the clubhouse. I was lucky with the weather beautiful day for October 😄

Beautiful building and grounds. Stayed just the one night, twin room had everything you needed. The beds were comfortable and the views stunning. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. Great value for money (Suggestion not a criticism rather than a large jug of milk and 1 large dish of sugar etc, maybe smaller and more for each table at breakfast) Would stay here again, staff all very friendly and efficient

This is my second time here. Slightly disappointed as the pillows are too hard. The tv didn’t work, the bathroom light was flickering and the outside bench from room 5 has been removed. So we couldn’t really sit outside and enjoy the lovey views in the evening. A few tweeks and this could be a lovely affordable stay. The beds are super comfortable. The location is quiet and beautiful. The staff are great.

A really gorgeous place to play golf. Setting is incredible, course in great condition ( September) Coaching - John sorted out my putting stroke and my bent putter! Couldn't be happier. 👍⛳.

Love this course. Some Bunkers need topping up. The greenside bunker on the 14th has a thin covering and the ground is solid underneath. My club bounced off the hard surface yesterday (26th July). Minor stuff really.

Superb place, greens & fairways are in great shape, well maintained, friendly staff & friendly members. In great shape for this time of year & will definitely be back winter & summer. Cannot wait to test these superb greens in the summer months.

Great local course and whilst not long has some challenges on many of the holes. Price is also very reasonable, definitely worth a visit

Really enjoyed this 9 hole course Played it early morning 615 am The members were very friendly Some good holes and lovely veiws.

Came with my society and really enjoyed it. Course played really well considering the amount of rain we have had. Greens were true and quick! Only negative is there was no catering at the time. Well worth a visit though. Will be bringing the society back in future.

The room was transformed into something more beautiful than we could have ever imagined, and the private garden was perfect for photos, complementing the stunning golf course, which provided the ideal setting for our bride and groom shots. Rebecca and her team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was flawless. From the many planning meetings, Rebecca was always available, and no request was too much trouble. As a recently taking up golf, i have really enjoyied using the Manors facilities. A trip After work to the driving range or taking my son on a weekend, has really caught his interest too. Would recommend and will continue to use them

Had our wedding here on the 27/04/24 and we had the most incredible day! All of the events coordinators could not have been more helpful with all of our crazy questions! The venue is gorgeous as are the grounds, which made for amazing photos by the lake! The venue was set up just how we imagined, if not better! The Manor worked amazingly with our vendors and everything went smoothly! Have to say a massive thank you to all of the event coordinators! Would 100% recommend for any wedding/event!

Brilliant heathland course with tough rough and tricky greens. Warm welcome from members. Only reason it wasn't 5 stars today was the greens had been dressed and they don't open the kitchen on Monday which given the numbers there I can understand...

What an unbelievable course!!! Without doubt one of the best courses in Yorkshire!!! So many feature holes it's packed to the brim!!!! You have to play this course!!
