The Best Golf Courses in Edgeley, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom (2025)

This a great little golf course in Woodford Stockport. Membership and green fees are great value, at this semi rural setting. Just around the corner from the AVRO flight museum and the new Woodford Village Green estate. Pop in say hello, they are very friendly. The course is not the biggest but it is very well maintained. There is a walking route around the outside of the course, but keep your dog under control and staff off the course.

Joined recently and everything living up to expectations. Enthusiasm around the club is palpable, with lots going on alongside friendly encouragement and support to join in the activities.

Good super compact course. It's basically 9 holes that you play twice to make it 18. I'd recommend playing the whole 18 holes as the first time around it can be difficult to judge tee shots as the green isn't visible from the tee box. The second time around its way easier to select the correct club. Greens, fairways and bunkers are really well kept.

Hidden gem! 9 hole course with lots of interesting holes and in lovely condition. Very friendly members / regulars. We will be playing here again!

Spent a great afternoon here with our daughters and friends. The course is brilliant with such amazing attention to detail and really creative ideas. Waterfalls, a cave and lots of authentic Australian details. So much better than other adventure golf courses I’ve done previously. Friendly staff and we didn’t feel rushed at all. Really good value for money as it took us close to a couple of hours to complete. A fabulous afternoon out for all ages!

Visited the newly opened Australia themed Crazy Golf, it was absolutely fabulous. I cannot rave enough about this! The courses are amazing, beautifully built, with such detail and the courses are challenging and really good fun. The finish is top notch and so much fun. There are all the major landmarks, animals and novelties of Australia. A definite must. We played a family of 4, it took 1hr 10mins to get around, with only a small wait at one of the holes, but this gave us chance to lap up the scenery.

We visited the Australian Crazy Golf and had a great time with our 2 boys it took us around a hour to complete the course could have took longer but felt we were being rushed along by a man and 2 very young children who were trying to finish as fast as they could 😕 we loved all the Australian landmarks and would definitely recommend and would visit again 💯

I went to the mini golf with my two children aged 6 and 4. They loved it! Amazing course, the girls didn't get bored and played until the end still wanting more! Kept entertained by all of the props around the course and the Australian facts. Definitely returning customers.

Friendly club, excellent facilities and a cracking 9 hole course.

My wife had her 40th party at the Golf Club on Saturday and it was brilliant. Marcus was nothing short of amazing in the lead up and on the night. I’d definitely recommend it! Great venue!

A very challenging and hilly 9 hole course. Greens were a little slow but to be expected given the amount of rain. The course itself handled the weather really well. Enjoyed the course immensely, you have to be straight! Only other downside was the breakfast served to our society was not worth the £12.50 charged!

I don’t play golf here, however regularly travel across it. The paths are good, and the course and greens look very well cared for.

What an absolutely beautiful place this is - right in the heart of Cheshire. Lee (Steward) is very helpful and all the staff are a complete asset. I wasn’t there to play golf - but to sing at a function. The lounges and suites were just lovely.

An amazing place! It's such a shame to hear that the caterers will be leaving though. I attended a funeral at Hazel Grove Golf Club and the food was so good. The staff were just lovely, very thoughtful and compassionate. In fact, quite a few people took details for themselves for future bookings. I bet the golf club will be sad to see them go.

I’ve enjoyed many, many fabulous nights out at Hazel Grove Golf Club, the caterers, Andy Beeley Catering (ABC) are probably the best in the area. Andy, Martin and their team are professionals in their field. Their success is due to meticulous planning and execution. They make sure every detail is cared for, especially when it comes to special dietary requirements/personal preferences. Their exceptional organisation enables them to handle any event super efficiently. HGGC is a fabulous golf club in every respect; the course, the staff and their fabulous events. Not many can put on celebrations like this club can!! However, I’m very disappointed to hear the caterers will be leaving later this year after 24 years of very loyal service. I have been fortunate enough to have worked with ABC and witnessed their loyalty alongside the fabulous reputation they’ve built up and it’s been a privilege to watch them grow from strength to strength. This is a team of real quality and longevity (which is very rare in golf clubs). We will miss such a fabulous team and HGGC’s loss will definitely be someone else’s gain.

Second visit for an Xmas event, excellent food ,& service. Would be helpful to indicate preferred entrance & also provide cloakroom facilities.

Went for a dinner. Lovely smoked salmon starter, nice beef (I prefer rarer) and a decent cheese selection. Reasonable drinks and friendly service.

Excellent golf club. Wide fairways, greens in great shape. First time visitors, warm welcome and routing was perfect. Love to come here again.

Great looking course. Well maintained. There are plenty of challenging holes to keep you entertained if that what you want to call it. Staff are polite, friendly and certainly welcoming. Course played well considering the amount of rain that has fallen in the recent weeks. Certainly worth a visit either on your own or with a group or society.

Played the Seniors Open at Disley yesterday and had a great experience. Course was in really good shape considering the deluge the previous few days. All staff were really welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed the day

It's one of those places that has more to offer than what you first think. It's amazing grounds and staff make it a perfect venue for weddings. The food is amazing too! Looking forward to shooting more wedding here.

Lovely course, well kept greens. Great variety of holes and competitively priced as well. Will be back.

I had a fantastic round of golf here with a business associate who is a member here. The course is in great condition & all the people at the club were very friendly. I can see why ‘people’ say it’s the best course in the area!

Amazing greens for February. Course was great. Nice layout, a mix of holes and incredible condition for the time of year

Nice course. Good, inviting fairways from the tee box. Some long par 4s and a 210 yrd par 3. 16th drives over the 4th green, so it can cause a little bit of a wait. 6th has a ditch right on driver distance running across fairway be careful. 9th hole par 3 very tough, good-looking hole. Overall, it was very nice, not too hilly course. Proshop and clubhouse are very good.

Great welcome in the pro shop , very friendly .Only played 9 holes as a visitor but wow , the best greens I've played hands down all year. The front 9 had some really lovely holes ,especially the par 3 9th. Will 100% be going back 100% credit to the greenstaff. Pics of the 9th green and also looking back to the 9th tee. Superb hole.

Went on a society day and have no complaints at all. Course was excellent, green's were superb. Food and service after golf was top class a very enjoyable day.

I played here twice in June 2024, once in pouring rain at the beginning of the round. The course was immaculate with very well kept fairways. The greens were smooth, fast, and challenging. The rough was closely cut and there wasn't any great amount of debris under or around the trees. There was no waterlogging despite the English rain. The course isn't hugely difficult for a high handicap player but it does require some course management and a deal of care on the greens, some of which don't appear to have any level surfaces. The clubhouse is modern and comfortable. The bar staff are very friendly and helpful. I enjoy this course and I have heard good things from my brother who is a member for six years. Green fees were very reasonable too.

Very happy to give the club a 5 star review. Just had a family birthday party and the service from Carolyn and her team was first class. Carolyn was very responsive to all my questions and nothing was too much trouble. On the day her team were warm and friendly, all the party guests had a lovely time and enjoyed the hot buffet food. Highly recommend!

Lovely course well laid out and well presented. The course is highly maintained and frequently updated in regards to pin locations. There is fair pricing for a golf round, and the golf professional is polite and friendly with good knowledge to help with your golf swing and course advice.

Fantastic course with some of the best greens in the Manchester area. Very friendly staff and members. It is well worth a visit.
