This is an absolutely gorgeous place! Somehow affiliated with Canada the place features more beaver đŸŠ« figures and impressions than I've ever seen (including one on the club's arms). Beautiful greens, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff - a worthwhile experience! Their Pro Shop offers a nice selection of golfing tools and attire, too

This could be my new favourite golf course. It seems the perfect London golf club offering variety, charm, challenge, and manicured greens. Lovely warm welcome from the pro shop on my first visit this morn. While I can get rounds for £28 I’ll keep coming!

I joined a few months ago, and the experience has just been fantastic! I didn't know anyone there, but has since gotten to know so many members, most of whom have been members there for 10+ year. It's just such a friendly community, and such an impressive collection of people with diverse backgrounds and experiences. The staff as well really make an effort to know everyone, which actually does make a difference. There's plenty of competitions and social events to get involved in, so I'm playing a lot more than I initially planned to... The fees I should say are very reasonable as well, compared to some other clubs I've inquired to. They have special rates for young professionals and students, so it's really worth a visit.

I finally got to play Highgate after winning a voucher at a charity golf day at my own club. Really worth the wait as was really impressed. Four of us played and had the best stableford comp we'd played for a while, all scoring really well. The course was in brilliant condition especially in comparison to the courses I've played recently that are struggling with keeping the fairways green with the heat and lack of rain. The greens and aprons where fantastic and the interesting topography made the course so much fun to plot around. I really liked the way you have a cross over of a few of the holes with this almost communal Plato adjoining them all made it really unique. After we finished our round we enjoyed a nice gin cocktail made from locally sourced Gin and did the usual assessment of the course and of course the round and the unanimous feed back was an amazing course we all wanted to get back play at the next opportunity.

I was really impressed with the amount of definition the green keepers were able to get into the fairways for the time of year. The course looked great. I had called the day before to enquire about getting a round and the Pro was very help and also honest enough to inform me that the greens had been freshly sanded that week so I should consider coming before making the trip. Undeterred I’m glad I did go as it was a real gem. Some really good looking holes and a challenging course. A lot of the tee boxes were temps but it still played really long especially with the wind up. I would certainly go back to play when the greens are at the best too, a really lovely club and course.

Lovely golf club. The best welcome committee I have ever had as an old guy with a white beard welcomes you at the car park entrance. Did not play the course as was working but looked tricky in the high wind of the day. But greens were manicured and the re wilding of some of the fairways looks good. Club house was old worlde but well maintained. Food looked good and the small shop on site well stocked. Coffee was amazing and cakes at the halfway house recommended. The date cake was lovely.

3rd time visiting and it's always a treat. Well worth the green fees. Highlights: pure quality of greens and overall course. Lowlights: ÂŁ3.15 for a sausage in a dry bun along with the bar not being open until 11am (thus no breakfast!).

Extensive and beautifully landscaped golf course that has opened its doors during lockdown to allow non-members to explore its rolling spaces. A secret oasis of green normally hidden from the public's eyes - lets hope it isn't closed off again for ever more when the lockdown ends.

A golf course with a tale of two halves - The first half is a short but tight track with no real stand out holes apart from maybe the 2nd which has a tight and blind tee shot. From home 9 onwards the track really comes into it's own. The fairways and greens were in great condition with only a few dry patches around some areas. I played during a twighlight time and the course was relatively quiet. Would play again.

Really lovely course, well kept. Would of given 5 stars if bunkers were proper sand. Most are dirt. Very challenging course, narrow fairways. Greens are perfect. They spray them to make them look extra green. Very hilly course so you have to be fit if walking! Buggies available. Good choice of food extensive menu. Staff all round are friendly and helpful. Definitely be playing here again.

Great course, not too long and not too narrow, but still a decent challenge, especially if you don't get your drive away or if you don't know your yardages with your irons. Greens in decent shape given that we played towards the end of October after a week of rain. Good little hut serving bacon/sausage baps and hot/cold drinks. Great views of the ever growing London skyline from the holes at the highest point of the course (and the club house). Also saw a giant mushroom! 😀

A fantastic course. Impeccable greens, well kept fairways with decent tees, plus nice sand in the bunkers. A nice setup for all the holes with good challenges, but nothing too difficult. So great for most level of golfers. I wouldn't recommend getting buggies though as they must remain on the cart path. In some ways that's good as it keeps the fairways in good nick, however, there can be more walking and time spent to get the right club. The service was brilliant from conversations with Tom who dealt with all my groups needs and making it perfect for the day, with Alice who looked after all of us brilliantly. There was a lot of nice little touches - with individual gold name tags for our bags, a lovely pouch with The Grove tees and pitch repair. Alice made sure my cakes were cut up and ready at the halfway house before hole 10, and took a load of nice pictures of us on the first tee. Really impressed with the overall experience with a big Thank You to Tom and Alice who made my 50th really unforgettable.

It's a must. The staff were fantastic the reception I got was out of this world from start to finish. Other than the 22 mile per hour winds we had to play in. The course was fantastic. Also after your game. They're clean your clubs shoes. Various other things it was just amazing. Thank you to the Grove and all the staff it was amazing experience. And we'll definitely. Will be coming. again.

Played a bunch of times with a pal of mine who is a member and we always get looked after because of him. Booked to play on Saturday just gone, and my pal got ill. The club still honoured his booking and treated us (non-members) but as a members friend just like we were members. They didn't need to, but they went over and above. Big shout outs to Carlos, Oliver, Fenella and Jack.

One of the best kept course I have visited and played. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the entire course was fantastic. The greens were perfect, the rough wasn’t too rough and the fairways in better condition than a lot of other courses putting greens! Sausage bap was top notch as well. Highly recommend

Thank you to the friendly and well-informed staff at The Grove. On 26 June 2023, we had a very special celebration that called for a bottle of pink champagne and a very special lunch. The waitress talked me through the gf menu which basically included everything on the menu bar one thing. They cook their food on site and are willing to adjust for food allergies. It's the first time in years I've had fish and chips! And they were delicious. When it came to paying the bill, we were told that because of our celebrations, the bottle of champagne was on the house. Wow! We were so impressed. Then they presented a plate of macaroons and fruit with a piped 'Congratulations' in chocolate. I almost cried at their consideration. Thank you The Grove!

The Muswell Hill Golf Club is a fantastic wedding venue with lovely, spacious grounds. I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding here last autmn and the staff were highly professional, always helpful. We weren't able to use the patio due to the weather for the drinks reception but we were able to take some of the group photos and portraits on the grounds which are vast and gorgous.

Great course, facilities and clubhouse. A few challenging holes, especially visually over water. Accurate driving is paramount with the rough/fescue being fairly pronounced. Weather comes into play big time due to its location and being exposed to elements. Make sure to get a buggy as distance from green to the next tee is generally far. Definitely one to revisit. The pro shop is well stocked and the food is pretty decent.

Seve designed. Played here quite a few times and it remains one of the toughest golf challenges you can get! Every hole and indeed every shot has to be hit well or it will cost you shots. Greens are perfect...very undulating and as quick as any you've played. Loads of water and it all is in play. It will beat you up if you give it a chance, and can even if you don't! Well worth a visit. Club house lovely and views of "S" last green breath taking.

My son and I tee'd off at 5pm. Perhaps the most challenging course to date, high handicapers should carry a dozen spare balls. Accuracy is rewarded, everything else is penalised by this course. Keep eagle eyes on your ball as fairly easy to lose in the rough. Perfect manicured fairways and fast undulating greens. We decided not to look for more than half a minute for our balls. Still could play only 14 holes before darkness. 1 birdie, two pars, and rest unmentionable for each of us.

Club house is very nice and modern. Good selection of beers and spirits. Good choice of food, very nice and well presented. Definitely be playing here again.

The course itself is famous for having been designed by Seve Ballesteros and for having 6 of each of the par 3's, 4's & 5's. It is a challenging parkland course with a lot of water hazards strategically placed with the first hole being a medium length par 3 with the green protected with a pond at the front and sides. That fact kind of sets you up nicely to know what's coming for the rest of the round. The course itself was beautifully maintained with the fairways being pretty immaculate and cut into some interesting slopes amongst the trees. I was very fortunate to be able to play this course the day before a PGA qualifying event. The greens had been cut and ironed and had that crunch feel that you get when your shoes break the surface almost like walking on a frosty puddle. To say they were fast was an understatement and they were very consistent giving a very even roll. I played from the Diamond (White) tees and found it to be quite a long course. The course flows beautifully never having that up and back feel and is cut into the contours of the land giving a great variety of tee shots and approaches. There were only two draw backs to my mind. The rough was brutal and combined with the water means that any errors were punished severely, so a good supply of balls is advisable. Also like a few other courses I have played, there are electrical lines crossing part of the course, here being a par 3. So I got a free reload having struck my tee shot beautifully and hitting a wire, but that didn't really make up for the lost ball and second, not so great strike, at the same hole. The course does offer some great views of itself from the tees and the way it cuts through various copse means that considered play is essential. The club house was very nice with plenty of pictures of Seve to admire. It is definitely one that i would like to play again and would do so on a regular basis with the undulations and water providing a variety of challenges.
