I loved my visit to Junkyard Golf and would definitely visit again. We prebooked the night before to play Bozo (Clown themed course). We arrived for 12 which is their opening time and found we were the only people there, the reception and bar/seating area is downstairs and we were greeted with friendly service throughout, you recieve a coloured paper wristband with the name of the course you're playing. When ready you head down a further set of steps to where the courses are, we were given our golf clubs and balls as well as a scoring card, and off we went. The courses are incredible, and i don't say this lightly. Alot of thought and effort has obviously been put into these courses, and each hole is incredibly fun to play, if I was scoring the courses on their own, no doubt 5 stars all the way! Once you play one course, you get another course for half price, so we did this whilst there, and we played Dirk, which had a darker theme of death/torture, again this course was extremely well thought out and both me and my partner had an amazing time, we contemplated doing the other courses but decided to leave something for next time! We visited the bar for a drink, i have a dairy allergy and asked if any of their mocktails contained milk/dairy products, the lady behind the bar assured me that they do not, therefore I asked her to make whichever one she chose, she advised she would make me the Solero Mocktail, and stated she had invented this herself for the menu, I will say it looked fantastic however I got my partner to try it as it looked like a cup of ice cream, and he was certain it was milk based, which is why i unfortunately can't give five stars in this instance, my partner drank the drink and stated it did taste incredible but reiterated it tasted just like a milkshake. Overall, we will definitely return to Junkyard golf and we had an amazing time, however an official allergen menu may be beneficial! 😊

From lesson one of the ten day coaching session, Giulio listened to what my aims were. Throughout he was engaging and extremely personable. His desire to pass on his invaluable knowledge is infectious. Thanks to Giulio I now understand the benefit of swinging rather than hitting. Everything he has instilled in me coupled with regular practice has given me reward. The difference to my yardages is immense equalled by the pleasure and enjoyment I now derive from this wonderful game. On a recent golf trip to Le Touquet my handicap was cut each day so that on round four I was playing off six less shots. This was totally down to Giulio, he is an investment well worth making. You won’t regret it.

Giulio is a decent guy I would not hesitate to recommend him. He is knowledgeable and he picks up your problems straight away. You then be able to progress faster. TrackMan system is very helpful especially under this cold weather. The booking system is easy and simple. Driving there is ideal as there are plenty of car park spaces. However, by foot from the closest tube/bus station will take you about 10-15mins.

Giulio started teaching me how to swing and improve my technique in 2022. I can say that out of all the coaches I have had, he is the best. Each lesson, he accurately identifies my issues, leading to significant improvements in my swing technique. Moreover, he strategically explains the theory over multiple sessions and, considering my physical condition, gradually helps me perfect my swing. If anyone wants to genuinely improve their golf performance, I would recommend Giulio without hesitation.

I had my first ever golf lesson with Giulio a few weeks ago. I came away from the session really pleased with my progress and I couldn’t believe how much I was able to achieve so quickly. For context I couldn’t hit the ball before and now I’m visiting the driving range with my partner and really enjoying it. Giulio made me feel really comfortable, he is a patient, technical and fun teacher but more importantly a great person and I look forward to more lessons with him. Thank you!

My husband and I had our Indian Pre Wedding event here, and we have nothing but positive feedback for the Hendon Golf Club team. To start, our requirements were met with ease, Malachy and his entire team were beyond accommodating and nothing was too much for them. Our guests were blown away with the event, and I truly believe that this is down to the venue. The views of the golf course from the decking area, which we used for our food service, allowed for guests to relax and enjoy their meal with great views. To the entire team at HGC, we thank you so much. Our event was everything we could've wished for, and more. We'd highly recommend booking the space for any events!

The club house is very nice with a lovely view of the course. Staff are all very friendly and there is a very good choice of beers and spirits at the bar. Nice changing rooms clean and even a sauna. Really picturesque course couldn't find a fault definitely will be coming here again soon.

This is an absolutely gorgeous place! Somehow affiliated with Canada the place features more beaver đŸŠ« figures and impressions than I've ever seen (including one on the club's arms). Beautiful greens, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff - a worthwhile experience! Their Pro Shop offers a nice selection of golfing tools and attire, too

Great course, facilities and clubhouse. A few challenging holes, especially visually over water. Accurate driving is paramount with the rough/fescue being fairly pronounced. Weather comes into play big time due to its location and being exposed to elements. Make sure to get a buggy as distance from green to the next tee is generally far. Definitely one to revisit. The pro shop is well stocked and the food is pretty decent.

A golf course with a tale of two halves - The first half is a short but tight track with no real stand out holes apart from maybe the 2nd which has a tight and blind tee shot. From home 9 onwards the track really comes into it's own. The fairways and greens were in great condition with only a few dry patches around some areas. I played during a twighlight time and the course was relatively quiet. Would play again.

Really lovely course, well kept. Would of given 5 stars if bunkers were proper sand. Most are dirt. Very challenging course, narrow fairways. Greens are perfect. They spray them to make them look extra green. Very hilly course so you have to be fit if walking! Buggies available. Good choice of food extensive menu. Staff all round are friendly and helpful. Definitely be playing here again.

Great course, not too long and not too narrow, but still a decent challenge, especially if you don't get your drive away or if you don't know your yardages with your irons. Greens in decent shape given that we played towards the end of October after a week of rain. Good little hut serving bacon/sausage baps and hot/cold drinks. Great views of the ever growing London skyline from the holes at the highest point of the course (and the club house). Also saw a giant mushroom! 😀

I finally got to play Highgate after winning a voucher at a charity golf day at my own club. Really worth the wait as was really impressed. Four of us played and had the best stableford comp we'd played for a while, all scoring really well. The course was in brilliant condition especially in comparison to the courses I've played recently that are struggling with keeping the fairways green with the heat and lack of rain. The greens and aprons where fantastic and the interesting topography made the course so much fun to plot around. I really liked the way you have a cross over of a few of the holes with this almost communal Plato adjoining them all made it really unique. After we finished our round we enjoyed a nice gin cocktail made from locally sourced Gin and did the usual assessment of the course and of course the round and the unanimous feed back was an amazing course we all wanted to get back play at the next opportunity.

I joined a few months ago, and the experience has just been fantastic! I didn't know anyone there, but has since gotten to know so many members, most of whom have been members there for 10+ year. It's just such a friendly community, and such an impressive collection of people with diverse backgrounds and experiences. The staff as well really make an effort to know everyone, which actually does make a difference. There's plenty of competitions and social events to get involved in, so I'm playing a lot more than I initially planned to... The fees I should say are very reasonable as well, compared to some other clubs I've inquired to. They have special rates for young professionals and students, so it's really worth a visit.

Thank you to the friendly and well-informed staff at The Grove. On 26 June 2023, we had a very special celebration that called for a bottle of pink champagne and a very special lunch. The waitress talked me through the gf menu which basically included everything on the menu bar one thing. They cook their food on site and are willing to adjust for food allergies. It's the first time in years I've had fish and chips! And they were delicious. When it came to paying the bill, we were told that because of our celebrations, the bottle of champagne was on the house. Wow! We were so impressed. Then they presented a plate of macaroons and fruit with a piped 'Congratulations' in chocolate. I almost cried at their consideration. Thank you The Grove!

Played a bunch of times with a pal of mine who is a member and we always get looked after because of him. Booked to play on Saturday just gone, and my pal got ill. The club still honoured his booking and treated us (non-members) but as a members friend just like we were members. They didn't need to, but they went over and above. Big shout outs to Carlos, Oliver, Fenella and Jack.

One of the best kept course I have visited and played. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the entire course was fantastic. A fantastic course. Impeccable greens, well kept fairways with decent tees, plus nice sand in the bunkers. A nice setup for all the holes with good challenges, but nothing too difficult. So great for most level of golfers. I wouldn't recommend getting buggies though as they must remain on the cart path. In some ways that's good as it keeps the fairways in good nick, however, there can be more walking and time spent to get the right club. The service was brilliant from conversations with Tom who dealt with all my groups needs and making it perfect for the day, with Alice who looked after all of us brilliantly. There was a lot of nice little touches - with individual gold name tags for our bags, a lovely pouch with The Grove tees and pitch repair. Alice made sure my cakes were cut up and ready at the halfway house before hole 10, and took a load of nice pictures of us on the first tee. Really impressed with the overall experience with a big Thank You to Tom and Alice who made my 50th really unforgettable.

It's a must. The staff were fantastic the reception I got was out of this world from start to finish. Other than the 22 mile per hour winds we had to play in. The course was fantastic. Also after your game. They're clean your clubs shoes. Various other things it was just amazing. Thank you to the Grove and all the staff it was amazing experience. And we'll definitely. Will be coming. again.

I just played here as an American visiting, and had a great time on this course. It has beautiful views and the course was in excellent condition. The pro shop was very hospitable as I needed to rent clubs, and everyone I encountered was very friendly. The biggest difference between this course and US courses are the lack of carts, there were a few people in carts but most people were walking with a trolley. This course was easy to get to by train as it was a 5 minute walk from an Underground station. I would definitely play this course again and recommend it to anyone visiting.

Great experiences at Sudbury. Played twice and enjoyed the courses. Fairway condition was outstanding but you could loose your ball easily as there were many fallen leaves on the fairway, which are in white tone. Green fee is very reasonable(25pounds during weekdays) but rental club(I have got sim2 driver, spoon, utilities and irons) is bit expensive (40pound per round). Better you bring your own club if you intend to play more than once. Will definitely visit here again. 👍
