Richard and Ben work on my father’s garden regularly and I am always very happy with their work. They have just finished working on his hedging giving it a much needed facelift and it now looks excellent having been cut back and given much needed support. Richard discussed every detail and quoted before any work was completed. I would definitely recommend him and his services to anyone.

First time I've used Richard Elphee's services and am most impressed. After checking fundamentals of what I wanted done, he recommended actions including significant work to cut back a Goat Willow and trim hedges to an agreed height. He and his colleague spent most of the day in our garden in the pouring rain, cleared up all the waste and checked I was happy as the job progressed. First class.

Richard and Ben have done an excellent job in our garden which had become rather overgrown and untidy. They are hard working, knowledgeable and intelligent; they listen to our wishes and make helpful suggestions. They have made it look so much better and we are delighted. I've worked with Aylwin over the past 18 months. We'd not long moved into a house with a garden that was best described as a 'blank canvas'. Aylwin worked with my wife and me to develop an initial detailed layout for the garden, prepared detailed planting plans for the various areas of the garden, purchased the plants and then planted them. He's now helping me on an ad hoc basis to manage the garden, my gardening skills being sadly lacking. I can't speak highly enough of the work that Aylwin has done for us. We now have a wonderful garden that we absolutely love and find easy to maintain.

I couldn't be happier with the wonderful design and finished garden which completely met the brief and exceeded my expectations. Aylwin was meticulous in preparing the garden and making sure that what i wanted was possible, not an easy task given the rotten ground my original garden presented him with. He also gave me a comprehensive guide to maintaining everything and has been on hand to offer ongoing advice. I now have a beautiful garden that has been much admired. The water feature is stunning and the photos don't do it justice.

We used Kelvin and his team to do a one-off grounds clean up for one of our commercial clients. They provided a swift quote and were very responsive and friendly to deal with. Kelvin and his team did a great job re turfing our garden and it’s a massive improvement. They spent an hour after the work was completed tidying and cleaning the patio which was appreciated. The aftercare provided was also very helpful and well explained, would highly recommend.

Always a nice trip to Garthowen. Good variety of plants which are of good quality. The cafe serves good food and coffee. The store staff are very helpful and the gorgeous cat who sleeps on the displays just makes my day 🐈

Many people who visited this place commented upon a stuffed owl which is placed near to the entrance. We asked a member of staff at the till a question and she was very helpful about it. The rose display was lovely and colourful.

First visit to this garden centre. Plenty of parking and signage at the entrance. Garden centre itself was almost deserted but a really good selection of plants and pots. The coffee shop was very busy with lots of people having lunch. There was indoor and outdoor seating. Service was efficient and friendly. Good choice of food on breakfast and lunch menus. Randomly sandwiches were served with a side of popcorn! Worth a visit for plants and food.

Great service, nice friendly people, first class job,clean and tidy, would definitely use them again.
