Richard and Ben work on my father’s garden regularly and I am always very happy with their work. They have just finished working on his hedging giving it a much needed facelift and it now looks excellent having been cut back and given much needed support. Did a great job clearing garden rubbish- quick and friendly service

First time I've used Richard Elphee's services and am most impressed. After checking fundamentals of what I wanted done, he recommended actions including significant work to cut back a Goat Willow and trim hedges to an agreed height. He and his colleague spent most of the day in our garden in the pouring rain, cleared up all the waste and checked I was happy as the job progressed. First class.

Philip designed and built a gazebo with a roof and raised beds which were made with sleepers which blends in perfectly with the other part of our garden. Philip was flexible and came up with creative ideas and an ever evolving design. We were very impressed by the highly skilled and nature of Philip and his team who from start to finish were, reliable and extremely hard working. The site was kept clean and tidy at the end of each day and he kept to budget. We would have no hesitation in recommending Philip's Landscaping services to anyone.

After two most successful projects – a large patio and brick paving – we were delighted to ask Philip back to construct the brick base for a Hartley Botanic Victorian Glasshouse. He and his team worked with millimetre precision to impress both us and the greenhouse installers. The weather hampered plans, but Philip managed everything excellently to ensure that deadlines were met and the end result is everything that we expected and more.

A number of projects carried out by Philip and his team. Garden design and planting, retaining sleeper walls, timber clad fencing, rendered planter walls and a block paved driveway. I've worked with Aylwin over the past 18 months. We'd not long moved into a house with a garden that was best described as a 'blank canvas'. Aylwin worked with my wife and me to develop an initial detailed layout for the garden, prepared detailed planting plans for the various areas of the garden, purchased the plants and then planted them. He's now helping me on an ad hoc basis to manage the garden, my gardening skills being sadly lacking. I can't speak highly enough of the work that Aylwin has done for us. We now have a wonderful garden that we absolutely love and find easy to maintain.

Review of Beyond the Borders Garden Design, Alton, Hampshire. Excellent design work at a fair price. Aylwin is very approachable and knowledgeable about all aspects of landscaping. Our brief had several constraints including an old concrete rainwater collection system, various different levels, and plants to conserve . Aylwin took on board our requirements and produced a design using clay pavers which managed to draw everything together and complement the garden and house.

Aylwin was very helpful in providing a consultancy service to help us re-design a small part of our garden. His creative perspective was invaluable. He very quickly understood our requirements and came up with a concept plan promptly. I would highly recommend Alwin, whether for small consultancy projects or larger garden designs. Aylwin created a beautiful, dreamy cottage garden for us and we can’t thank him enough - it’s like a scaled-up version of a Chelsea Garden Show display. We’re so proud of it and everyone loves it.
